kumba830
The Surprise April 17th, 2010 Â This day my mom was very impatient for me to get up in the morning, and I had no idea why. Then right when I got downstairs the doorbell rings and as my mom opens it I hear a this sexy Australian voice. I look around the coroner and it was Cameron! This was a total surprise and I had no idea why he was there. But then he lifts up this little bag that said "Happy Birthday" and my face was all like " ". So then we talked a bit and he asked me to open it and I found something quite amazing inside. It was a neon sign that said "IT S WHIZZER TIME". I pretty much crapped myself... Â So thanks to everyone that was part of this! [Josh, Brenda, Lary, Griffin, Jo, Jeremie, Dan, Renee, Patrick, Matt, Melanie, and Ritch]. As well as thanks to my amazing delivery man Cameron! Â -Thanks guys! I can't wait to see you all soon!

kumba830
Holiwood Nights June,6 2010 _________________________________ Hey everyone... I went to Holiday World with my best friend Chris, Cameron, muh Madre, Tommy, Griffin, and Father Griffin. Not only was this my first time doing Holiwood Nights, but it was my first ever time to Holiday World! I was not expecting much from the park at all. I expected two "normal" woodies then Voyage to be around par with Hades. Gosh was I wrong. Legend was really fun, Raven was amazing, and Voyage... Wow... I felt like I had ran a mile when I hit the break run, it really is that intense! The park had some nice water slides and of course, Wildebeest was amazing! The park also has some fun flats and as much Pepsi as you could want. Â Over all I had an awesome time at the event and I'm pretty sure I'll be back next year! Â [Here are some off-ride shots of Wildebeest] Â [sorry for not taking that many photos, I was focused to much on riding woodies. ] One of our movies of the trip, who doesn't love a little Narnia? On our way down we met up with Cameron to start our track down through IL and IN. About 3/4 down Chris and I switched cars and rode with Cameron Sadly Jeremie couldn't go. But we tortured him with lots of updates and text about Voyage. The park really is in the middle of no where... FINALLY! Exclusive angle! You should be proud of me. At least Legend doesn't steal your loose articles like Raven does. My mind was focused on other things than the little welcome speech. There he is, in great condition... Will, you will be missed and I'll be praying for the Kotch family =[. Griff, you ready for some ERT?!?! I mean an hour of ERT is awesome. But at HN you get buttloads of ERT! Raven... Wow this is one awesome coaster. I can't decide if I like it or Voyage more! Yes, Voyage is blurry to the naked eye at dusk. In the words or Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be back" We ended the night with a few Raven re-rides, then it was time to head back to the hotel and get *some* sleep We woke up around 6:30 and I'm no morning person. But this guy sure woke me up Wildebeest... Better than half the coasters I have ridden. No joke! Seriously... Go ride this bad boy. Griffin-"So how was Intimidator" Guy with Intimidator shirt-"Hated it" I looks like the guy in the front row lost his finger... I love how much Raven is in the woods To me I found that Legend gave JUST enough lat's to be thrilling, yet not painful. Twisty drop porn It's wooden, so the saying "through the tree's" applies... right? Butt-"Hey Seat, Your girlfriend was fun last night" Seat-"What the hell.. that was you?!?!" Butt-"Yeah, what you gonna do about it?" Seat-*pulls out knife* Butt-*runs away from seat as fast as it can* Art-see Could I get a side of 90* with that? Actually.. Make that three. Griffin cheats, he makes his dad take pictures... I wish these would fit in my pocket. =[ Tommy before his first ride on Voyage. [Tommy=Griffin's cousin] Nom Nom Nom Many have traveled from far and wide, to laugh & scream on the pilgrim's ride, now it's time to sail away, your Voyage begins without delay! Once again, when we are Eating free food my mind is elsewhere... Chris and Griffin. That night we had a butt load of re-rides on Raven. I'd say around 15-18 somewhere in that area [correct me if I'm wrong]. The ride O.P.'s were also very enthusiastic. Then It was time to go back to our hotel's. I will miss Holiday World so much. As well as Will, he made the park into the great place it is and he will be missed dearly. I hope to go back some time soon and that Will's legacy lives on for years to come. kumba830
Indiana Beach June, 13 2010 ______________________________________ After Holiwood Nights I'm back in Indiana the next week for another First time trip to a park. What better way to visit than with Cameron, Jeremie, Griffin, and Mother Griffin! For those of you not familiar with the park. It's like someone took the best of the classic flat rides, a few really fun coasters, a big heap of WTF atmosphere, and put it all on a tiny boardwalk. There you have it, one of the best theme parks around! Â Cornball [# 50] was great, front or back it didn't matter you always got ejector . Hoosier Hurricane really didn't have any air time though [except the front row on the double up], but it was a really fun ride due to it's location and it swooping over the lake. Sadly Lost coaster was closed. I'll probably be going back soon to ride it though. Steel Hawg was one of many ride at IB where you get off and you just have a puzzled look on your face. It was surprisingly smooth and I loved the downward heart-line roll. But the surprise was Galaxi, It was actually really fun smooth ride. With plenty of air time in the back car on the first two drops. Â I also fell in love with the Yo-Yo and the Paratrooper. It was my first time on both for a ride of it's type and they were both genius! Â The verdict is that Indiana Beach is an awesome little park and it has a great atmosphere. It gets an A+ in my books! [Don't forget to do the haunt/walk-through] Â -Photos- Splash battles make me wet The guns don't shoot that well, but it's still a really fun ride. Jizz jizz everywhere! I <3 yo-yo!!!! First coaster of the day. [i love all of the signs at IB they carry on the WTF feeling of the park] You can see the famous gum tunnels in this picture ;] The log ride has an acceptable amount of wetness. I approve! What's this above my head? Thats delish "I'm Tig'rr give me your bad romance!" "O.K.!" I was actually a little surprised by the airtime on the first drop... Anton you sneaky little devil you! I really liked the two swooping turns also, really fun elements of the ride! A hott mess The Flyers at IB are much better than the ones I rode at HW last week. The wind help you gain a LOT more altitude. Jer and Griff after their hot Schwarzy love trip. You can get some really nice views from the ferris wheel Yo-Yo how I love thee. If only those hills created some decent air =[ Weird thing... Like everywhere you went around the park there were Mayflies. On the sides of building, on the handrails, on the boardwalk... Everywhere! Although I was told by Cameron that this is not a common thing. If only she was hot ;] Boogedy boogy BOO. I'm sort of becoming a double shot fan. These things are extremely fun! For all of you who like round objects... Are you trying to catch a Mayfly or something? Manual break porn. "I'd like to break you manually" Me being overly excited to ride a Schwarzkopf = Looking like a chipmunk Camu is sitting erect Nom nom nom! Delicious! It rained for about 20 minutes but after we rode Galaxi about 10 times in a row. This ride OP was awesome, so If your reading this... your awesome! Um... not sure what was going on when this was taken. But I'm sure we don't really need to know Yum ghetto. Awww, I don't get to encounter the bear today! =[ "Tilt, no whirling aloud..." It's OK for not having a tri-pod...right? We ended our night on Hurricane. Oh, and thumbs up to the two ride OP's at the ride that whole evening. They were really energetic and raced each-other to see who could check the restraints first, and they really got the guest involved! Good-Bye Indiana Beach! I'll be back for sure some time soon! eddie200330
This is the 2nd TR I have seen of this place this week. The one thing that sticks out in my mind, which I noticed in your video, and a photo in the other TR, was the water falling from around the YO YO. It's little touches like this that make a park awesome. One of these days I will make it out that way and check this joint out. Also I youtubed a POV of Steel Hawg and I will admit I never thought it would appeal to me. After seeing the video a few times it looks like quite a fun little ride, something more "smaller" parks should look into.
Jerrykoala2112
Great report (and great pictures!) Nathan!!! Cameron
^ Yeah - it was a shame that Lost Coaster was down, but at least we knew about it in advance. One of the great things about Indiana Beach is that even with one of their major rides down, we still didn't run out of stuff to do for the entire 9 hours we were there. It was a fun day, with great weather and perfect crowds. There certainly is an interesting mix of people down there.. Â Oh and Nathan, cool video. Â Cameron. jynx242
Thanks for the trip report! I love love love Indiana Beach! Just a fun place, and proof that you don't need a 200+ foot hypercoaster to make a park fun! Â David
kumba830
Germany June 28 - July 14, 2010 ___________________________________________ About a month ago I made a two week trip to Germany. I stayed with a friend and his family in the Hannover region and had an amazing time! You can read my daily blog from the trip right HERE.  Germany Updates: -Daily Life and Berlin [pg.5] -Goslar Adventures and a German Schützenfest [pg.6] -Heide Park [pg.6] -Der Autostadt [pg.7] ___________________________________________  Daily Life and Berlin  My experiences in Germany were so awesome. Yes I had been taking German the last few years. So I sort of knew what to expect, although not everything was as I thought. I realized that they ride bikes a LOT more than we do here in the states[Possibly why we are so damn fat?] and they also use rail transportation a ton. While my whole life here in the states I had not used the train once, I took the train almost every other day while I was in Germany. I mean, why can't we have a well run rail system with stops in almost every decently sized city that doesn't cost a buttload to ride[because we probably don't realize the benefits]? Also, their fridges are super small, they love "Chicago gangsters", and are way ahead in fashion.  As for Berlin, it's not like skyscrapers and such[which I though it would be]. The city was mainly very low laying, but spread out. There were a lot of cool sights and history that I got to learn about. The main railway station there is the biggest in Europe and you can definitely tell. Then, before we left, I got to experience some European shops in one of the malls downtown. Photos Waiting around at the Chicago airport to leave my first time flying alone. You take me cross ocean, ok now? Here you go Jeremie, I listened to this half of my trip there. Hallo Deutschland! By the time I make it to the place that I am staying I already was having a cargasm. I love how close all of the houses are in this village. It just sort of has a little charm to it. Me, Immature? Never! One of my German friends wanted to party one last time [being Europe that includes beer] before he went off to serve in the army. What a fun night! [This is the Mayor Hall of Hannover] An old church destroyed in WWII. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing.... Random lakes = Topless chicks and naked old people. Delish! Darn you shrub maze! >.< This was at a nice garden in Hannover, and later that day I went to the movies and watched Prince of Persia in German. Thank God there weren't a lot of talking parts. Me-Hans-Hans' brother Cilas We weren't exactly the quietest people in the garden... Haha. Something about the tallest fountain, maybe in the world... Or just europe... I have no idea. Mmmm trams. RB [Regional Bahn] trains were practically my second home in Germany. Apfelschrole <3 This poor bike has been literally raped. Haha, I love how my face looks so messed up in this photo.  The girl in this photo couldn't speak english very well, so most of them time I would have to struggle to tell her something. She ended up being one of my favorite people I met during the trip. Grape soda in Europe actually taste like Grape. I think the USA should try out this crazy concept some time. ;] Land Rover Defender anyone? The last of these pictures are from Berlin, one of my favorite cities I have ever been to. More Gardens... Seriously some of these gardens go on forever! Ich liebe es! My favorite of all the sights I saw was the Dom. Some of these building were just so darn beautiful. Don't ask why... It just reminds me of Narnia. This is basically the "White House" of Germany. Pretty modern looking if you ask me. The German Parliament building! "Oh yes, i've always wanted some Berlin noodles!"  Next up is Goslar and a German festival! Edited January 2, 2011 by kumba830
