hypercoaster2000 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Hi roller coaster fans and donkey lovers! My name is Steve Okamoto, I am a former employee of Arrow and Morgan. I designed most of Arrow's rides from 1985-1989 and all Morgan's coasters. I have a some clothing that I have obtained over my years with Morgan that I am selling on eBay. Most of this stuff was made in small quantities and therefore it is rarely seen, especially by the general public. In fact, I wore my shirts almost exclusively on job sites around the country and world. I gave away a few shirts to Japanese co-workers on Steel Dragon 2000 and some other friends at domestic parks, so this is your chance to wear an extremely rare piece of authentic coaster swag. Thanks for looking in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190356673057&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190356676583&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190356676583&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
atem122 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Woah, I remember your name from reading about you in one of my old math textbooks! That looks like an awesome collection you have there, are you ever planning on putting any Arrow memorabilia up for sale? I'd definitely be interested in that
Homer Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Now YOU can be the coolest ACEr on the block, just like Fatty Patch Jacket Robb! Old joke aside, I find it rather interesting you're giving away some rare swag. But alas I'm penniless and I must say Phantom's Revenge is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
larrygator Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I find it rather interesting you're giving away some rare swag. Well he is not giving it away, he is selling the rare swag. It is not uncommon for people who collect items, whether it be for hobbies or through work, to one day decide to clean up the clutter. If you have the ability to sell and make a little cash from years of work, then more power to you.
Steelinwood Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 That is really neat stuff. I'll have to think about getting it. What was it like working for them?

Wasn't it a photo him on the MCBR or lift hill of Wild Thing?
CorkscrewFoley Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I wanna second what Homer said about Phantom's Revenge...Thank you very much...
robbalvey Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 That is really neat stuff. I'll have to think about getting it. What was it like working for them? I'm sure if Steve wants to answer some fan questions he will, but just remember this thread is more about him offering some of his items on Ebay, not really a Q&A session. --Robb "I'll bet the more bids he gets the more questions he'll answer!" CorkscrewFoley Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I'm sure if he sells his Arrow swag, the fanboys (and myself) would be all over that in a heart beat.
hypercoaster2000 Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 I'm sure if he sells his Arrow swag, the fanboys (and myself) would be all over that in a heart beat. Really? And how much cash would you back it up with? I have an extremely tasty piece of Arrow swag that I would think of keeping, but could be convinced to sell if I thought anyone would bid. Really people, $20 is a good deal for a jacket, don't you think? I mean what would Six Flags charge you for that? Okay enough of the hard sell, I feel like enough of a prostitute as it is. As for what is was like to work for Morgan; strangely enough it was just like a job. Unfortunately, the couple of days when you dream up something cool is followed by hundreds of days figuring how to make it work. That all probably makes me sound like a grumpy old man but I assure you I started out as an angry young man. Thanks for compliments on PR, it was of fun to work on changing that ride. Excuse me if I mess this process, I haven't really done this before.
ebl Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Steve, your stuff looks very nice. Unfortunately, I don't collect anything like this. But I have no doubt that you won't have any trouble selling it. Just a note, while I haven't ridden very many of your creations, as a fellow mechanical designer/CAD guy, I have a lot of respect for your work. Eric
sfmman2000 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I would be interested in checking out some more of your swag, if you're willing to sell (especially t-shirts).
WFChris Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 ^ I get the feeling that he is trying to grab some attention with what he has up now. Why post more items if there is no *actual* interest in whatever is already posted? Zero bids on all items so far.... Chris.

That's what I'm saying, I thought auctions were exciting By the way, the photo in the textbook was on Wild Thing, I snapped it myself with a disposable camera held at arm's length What is MCBR?
sfmman2000 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 It's only been 24 hours since he posted the links - there may be people interested that haven't checked it out yet. I would be interested in other types of clothing he has, just not sweatshirts/jackets.

hypercoaster2000 Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 ^^ Mid Course Brake Run As if I am sitting out there with my hand on the button, sounds like a controls problem to me.
