crispy Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Well i wasn't sure wher to post this, but seing as it has rides, i figured it can go in here lets see, long story short, we wanted to go minature golf, but the Putt-Putt is ultra ghetto, so we went to Hinkle Family Fun Center They have go-karts, bumber boats, and bumper cars, an arcade, and a very very nice mini golf course We played 36 holes, both courses, lake course, which was awesomly beautifu, and stream course, which was nice, but maddening, as stream course has REAL WATER HAZARDS, so of course mickey hit ALOT of ball into the water, and guess who got to fish them out, me We had a ton of fun, and will go back when we have more time, one of the best mini golf courses i have ever seen We finished up with Carrabba's, we have never Been. Our waiter was AWESOME, i don't think we had to ask for anything, gave us a sample of sauce, so Corina could try it, he was great, now to the food, OH MAN, ok, I now see why Elissa and Robb make such a big deal about this place, the food was awesome, Mickey wanted a kid sundae, so we ordered her one, and the waiter came back with two huge scoops and three spoons, AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, we will be going there ALOT, we left him an $18 dollar tip We had great fun on to the pics Well it was now time to play the stream course, not quite as nice, but it does have REAL WATER HAZARDS, YES! Ah another reason to love NM, sunsets HOLY CRAP real water hazards This picture sums it up, the most beautiful mini golf course, i have ever seen Hey they even have a place to wash my balls on of the MANY waterfalls, very VERY blue water i think the scenery is screwing with my game Round the corner, and this is what we see This hole was EVIL ohhh, purty and the game is on, Mickey Tee's off Here's the 1st hole, for some reason Whoa, this is a pretty nice Minature Golf Course, 1st up, Lake Course inside is a decent size arcade, i looked for the drum game, nope not here, bummer We made it LOL, here's the freeway, and the interchange, at 7pm I love Albuquerque Coming Down from Rio Rancho, ther are some AWESOME Views of the City
crispy Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 Carrabba's time For any of you wondering how corina puts up with me, yeah alchohol a joke So much so, that she pulled them off the pizza and ate them yes mickey is happy, she loves tomatoes MMMMMMM food And i won stream course Talleyed up our games Corina won Lake course Mickey likes the bread
ebl Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 That looks like a great miniature golf course. It's definitely the first one I've seen with a REAL water hazard! I like that---it makes the course that much more challenging. You ought to see the one on Catalina Island out here. My brother has lived on the island since the late '70s and I go out to visit now and then. Next time I'm there (which may be soon), I'll get some pictures of this course. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! Eric
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Yay! Hinkle Family Fun Center! Crispy that was a great TR! It looked like you had a lot of fun! (apart from sticking your hand in the gross water)!
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Great TR, looks like a really fun place to spend the day! I've never seen a mini-golf course that makes such a point out of scenery. It looked really nice ! And at least you got plenty of exercise thanks to Mickey giving you a workout with those water hazards.
dandaman Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 That course reminds me of Challenge Golf at CP... a lot of bridges and waterfalls, and impossible holes. In one of your pics... How did you end up outside the green on the sidewalk?
crispy Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 I hit the ball WAY to hard, and not on purpose, i'm really pretty bad at mini golf
dandaman Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 I was afraid that was what happened... Don't worry, we have this one course near my house, and it always jumps over the bricks at this one hole.... You can even see some of the coloured balls in the bushes behind it.
Erik Johnson Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 I know someone just posted this...but yeah first putt-putt I have ever seen with real water hazards....Very cool. Nice TR as well
Hattuchili Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Wow, and another great photo TR, Chris. I love mini golf. It looks like you had fun with the water hazards. --Sören
AllisonY2K Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 hey! I thought the water was blue! the stuff you put your hand into was *not* blue! fun TR! neat pics. good shot saving those golf balls from the trecherous water hazards of doom. and I think I need to try Carrabba's again b/c the few times I went there it wasn't that great.
crispy Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 Yeah the 1st side water was toilet water blue, but the stuff on the other course, was just normal water Carrabba's was AWESOME we will be going back, soon, although i promise NOT to do a TR of my next vist
SharkTums Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Yay! I'm glad you liked Carrabbas! I'm always worried that since we talk it up so much, it might let people down when the finally get there! Did they get 'dough' for Mickey? You can ask for dough for kids (and robb) to play with too!
QuakerOaties Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 I like your Photo TR's because of the shots of New Mexico. Its cool to see the different environments that people live in. Some people practically live in a forest (me) and others live in the desert! Mark "wow I'm a dork" Luskus
crispy Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 no, we didn't, she was pretty content with the crayons though, it was better than i though it was going to be, no offense to anyone, but i am super picky, so when someone tells me something is great, i usually don't pay much attention we had tried alot of other restraunts, but though, what the hell, we can try Carrabba's we are VERY glad we did Chris "i think we are going back for sundae's, my God, the chocolate they use" P.
crispy Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 Thats my favorite part of some of the TR's Quaker, I love seeing the diffrent environments New Mexico, can be nothing but short bushes one minute, to nice oak tress and beautiful grass the next the sunsets here are really amazing, they really are like fire, just like the pic Chris "proving my dorkyness by back to back postings IN MY OWN THREAD, DOH!" P.
SLUSHIE Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 You have to drive 55mph on the freeway? Where I live in Cali it's 65mph, but most people drive 75-80. That or 0-25 mph.
crispy Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 No i was Grandma driving for some reason, oh wait I know I was being a dumbass and taking pictures and trying to drive at the same time Chris "it was just a bit to scary to do 65, and take pictures" P. Edit: even left over Carrabba's is great, YUM!
