RCT Roller Coaster Challenge

I posted a thread on the video game forum, and Robb suggested i post a poll here to see if we can get some more intrest

 

 

We want to have a RCT Challange, or competition

 

Basically, a challenge will be laid out, for example, build a coaster that 10x10, with an excitment rating over 7 and an intesity under 8

 

 

we would like to get as many people intrested in this as possible

 

RCT2 and RCT3 will be able to be used for the challenges, and when possible RCT1

As you know crispy, I'm all for it, I think it would give the Video Game forum a much needed injection as it can be fairly slow in there.

 

I think some healthy competition is always welcome and can't do any harm.

Hey Crispy, just thought I'd post, seeing as no-one else is! You know i'm interested! I've been practising and I am having a bit of difficulty in getting the excitment high whilst keeping the intensity low! It's driving me crazy, but it's fun!

No actual challenge has been set yet, it's due to be officially started tomorrow complete with the full rules etc.

 

But if you want to get practice in, these are the preliminary conditions:

 

To design a rollercoaster using the Coaster Designer in any RCT (RCT1, RCT2 or RCT3 entries are allowed) that meet the following criteria.

 

* Must fit within a 15x15 grid including the entrance and exit

* Must be a regular Wooden Coaster, not ANY Wooden Variety (i.e. no Wooden Wild Mouse or Side Friction Coasters)

* Must have an Excitement rating higher than 7 and an Intensity rating less than 8

 

These may be fleshed out a bit in the actual challenge but it's enough for if you want to get some practice in

You don't need RCT3 to participate in the coaster challenges/contests.

 

We are trying to encourage players of any RCT to get involved, if you still use RCT1 you can still participate, just save a coaster design that meets the conditions.

If you use RCT2 or 3 just use the coaster designer to create a coaster that meets the conditions.

Seriously, if you guys want to do RCT contests, I'm all for it! So please, if you really are interested vote in the poll so we can get this started in the video games forum sooner than later!

Over on WeeWeeSlap.com, they're doing a RCT3 Park Tennis, which we could consider in the future. Basically, those who sign up are given a park and they add something to it. They will then pass it to the next person to add more to the park and so on, until it's gone around a few rounds or so.

 

I'm completely all for a RCT3 contest here, which would definitely liven up the video game forums here as well as test our skills (or non-skills).

Some of the other sites stuff can be VERY difficult, we want to keep in intresting, without the insane difficulty, so its open to more people, as well as allowing any version of RCT to be used for the coaster competitions

 

 

As for the park competitions, we still have to work out alot of the details, but they will only support rct2 and rct3, no rct1, sorry, and will run as seperate contests, one for rct2 and one for rct3, while the coaster competition, will be both games, at least for now

 

The Coaster competitions will last one week, with a week for voting, so hopefully twice a month

 

The Park Competitions, will run three weeks, with one week for voting

 

There are TONS of things to work out, but Pucechan and I are working hard to get evrything together, get the Alvey Seal of Approval, and then post all the infor you need

 

I hope to have the competition started by at least Wed

I'm up for it. However, the "RCT Tennis" thing that Angry_Gumball suggested on the bottom of the first page sounds cool. We could probably make a "TPR Park" then, and each have our own mark on it.

Thats something a bit diffrent than we are doing here, but yeah that sounds kinda cool, I'll let Angry go for it if he wants to, cause I'm sure this will keep me busy enough
