We had baseball sized hail about 20 miles west of where I live. It tore holes in the house's roofs and killed some livestock! Fortunately, it was moving the other direction and didn't come near our house.

However, several insurance companies have left the state because of large insurance claims like this. And those who stayed, have raised their rates.

That reminds me of our weird random weather we can get. Several months ago, it was sunny, maybe a few clouds. We go to McDonalds for lunch, come out and everything's soaked. Few minutes later, I hear thunder and on go the paintball sized hailstones...they actually did sting as I'm trying to run for cover in the middle of a shopping center parking lot. It lasted 10 minutes and then the weather did other random things for the next hour and then stopped.

Yeah, I lived in Orlando for the last two years.. so had a nice direct shot from Hurricane Charley.. which was WAYY worse and scarier than Francis and Jeanne.. I was standing by my 3rd floor apartment window watching it buckle inward a little..

Thunderstorms are the best kind of weather!

That reminds me of my trip to SFMW several years ago. We decided to go in the pouring rain. It wasn't raining the first half of our visit but once I headed toward Roar, the rain came in buckets...I was wondering if it was beginning to hail because it stung. Unfortunately, Six Flags acted like Knotts and closed the park when the rain stopped and it was beginning to clear up. I can't complain as rides were walk-ons.

Yeah, since I am just back from florida, It is realy weird because we rarely get any Thunderstorms in Florida. I really like them.

When I was at Busch Gardens, queueing for Shiekra, there was an extremely loud crack. It was like half a second after the lightning. While I was queue, I didnt realise it was thunder, I thought the ride screwed up or something, until it happened again. I was by myself in the queue, and my mom and dad were waiting. My mum who is terrified of Thunder & Lightning, was really scared. I also miss the rain in Florida, it is really cool.

Oh yeah, and there was a tornado in Birmigham, England yestarday. That is freak weather, it is really rare for a tornado, but they are appearing more freguently over the years I have noticed.

The first year my daughter and i went to SFWOA/GL for the frightfest it was about 45 degree with rain and hail. We rode Serial Thriller about 13 times (it was a more gentler SLC then). At times, it sort-of stung, but it wasn't much differant than skiing.

Largest hail i've seen was golfball sized. the damage to cars and aluminum siding was incredible. luckily no one was seriously hurt.

Me and my freinds got attacked by bees while it was raining cause we shot the nests with our paintball guns.Fortunatly,I was smart and hopped the fnce while they were worried about their 300 dollar paintball guns.Good thing a have a cheapo 69 dollar brass eagle.

So do I. That's one of my favorite memories of staying in Disney World... waking up from your midday hotel nap, and pulling back the curtains to see storms rushing through, all within maybe 2 hours, tops. The "weather-obsessed" side of me takes over when I'm in Florida...
