CreditCrazy Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 What if Knott's added a new B&M Hyper for 2010, would the place be considered a coaster park then? Perhaps something like Diamondback or Beheamoth. Do you think it would get more acclaim then? Or what would it take to really rival its neighbors. As much as I would love for that to happen... 1. Knott's doesn't have enough room. 2. New B&M Hyper + B&M Hyper Roar + Houses literally across the street = eggs and toilet paper at park entrance

Silver Bullet doesn't have a roar. Just fill the tack with sand.
triggernel Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 ^&^^ I didn't mean that is what they should do, what I meant was what do you guys think would make Knott's a top notch SoCal coaster park.

GreatAdventureConnection Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I saw this Report on Coasterfusions Forums! What are the odds! Nice report! Love the photos! Isn't Coasterfusion going there!?

GreatAdventureConnection Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 He said they were. You are on those forums right?
CreditCrazy Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 He said they were. You are on those forums right? Yes, but I'm not positive if they're going to Knott's or not
Top Thrill Dragster Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 You really think Knott's has enough room for a B&M hyper...? Yes I do. They could have the station and lift inside the park perimeter and use the back stage areas and parking lot for the bulk of the ride. Just look at Goliath at SFOG.
CreditCrazy Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 You really think Knott's has enough room for a B&M hyper...? Yes I do. They could have the station and lift inside the park perimeter and use the back stage areas and parking lot for the bulk of the ride. Just look at Goliath at SFOG. After examining Knott's on Google Earth, I can't see any way they could fit a B&M Hyper. They're completely out of room, even if they went Goliath (SFOG) style. There's no room for an entrance. Not a little open space of land they could use, and even if they used part of the parking lot, there's no way to connect that path to the park. If they did find an entrance somehow, the ride would basically just be bunnyhopping on the side and over the freeway (if they could even find room there). I'm all for Knott's squeezing in another new coaster, especially a B&M Hyper, but I don't see how they could do it. This time, I think they may really be completely out of room.
G-Force! Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 ^There will always be room and ways to build things if enough thought and money is involved. I could easily see a hyper being built at Knotts in the future.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 If they tear down the old KOD building they could fit a B&M hyper.
triggernel Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 What else could fit in Knott's apparently small area of usable empty land, besides a hyper?
UberBeavis Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Knott's problem doesn't lie so much in lack of space, but the neighborhoods around the park have pushed back quite a bit on noise issues.
CreditCrazy Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 If they tear down the old KOD building they could fit a B&M hyper. I don't know what to say, I guess we'll just have to see in the future.
Rollerman87 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I swear, every comment I've heard about a new coaster at Knott's is about some huge B&M hyper or something. Why not look at something smaller, like a more compact Maverick, or even something like Wicked Twister. Maybe even an X-Coaster or a Eurofighter (we need one of those in So Cal too ). Trust me, there is room in the park, but its more about them having to rearrange and remove things, and I'm not even talking Ghost Town, I'm talking Boardwalk.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 ^Yeah, an X Car coaster would be nice, but we shouldn't be bringing up Knotts future in a PTR Anyways, nice captions. You always make me laugh with the PTRs, thanks for the Laugh's! -Matthew.K
CreditCrazy Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 but we shouldn't be bringing up Knotts future in a Photo TR I'm cool with it, that's pretty much what this thread is for. That, and "Nice pictures!"
