KingB24 Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Awesome! Â I do find it strange that there's a drop tower that's 260ft. tall in 1999, but hey, I like seeing what would've been new records in parks!
CorkscrewFoley Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Yet another great addition to the park...and it's an Intamin...yayy! Fanboyism aside, the one thing I really have to give you credit for, is that although it's a Six Flags park, aside from Batman, you have avoided for the most part the typical SF names with the last two major rides ('Taker) and now rebellion.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 My feelings for the loss of Parachute Falls! Totally agreed! Â But still, this new tower is looking good! The colors are great (although I personally prefer the lighter orange over the darker); they fit the ride well. Â I just hope this doesn't have a cable break like the one at KK had.
Corkscrewy Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I remember seeing this a year ago and loved it. And over the course of the last 4 hours i managed to catch up and read everything. All I can say is amazing. Aesthetically beautiful.
GrabowskiEnterprises Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Hey CD5, you okay with me saying that my new park bought Parachute falls from your park?
coasterdude5 Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 ^ No. The ride was scrapped.  1999 21st Season  Rebellion is a hit! Lines for the ride have exceeded 2 hours this weekend! People really want to know what it's like to freefall 26 stories!  That's quite a view!  The tower is visible from just about anywhere in the park.  Today was another crowded day!  We can't forget about Undertaker!  I'm looking forward to this season!  - Joe
GrabowskiEnterprises Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 ^aight, i'll change it. Oh and your park is amazing, do you have any tips on how to make a park look as amazing as yours?
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 The ride was scrapped. EVIL PERSON!
GrabowskiEnterprises Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Wow, it's an old ride, why would you not scrap when you really think about it.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 ^Because it's awesome. If you didn't know, I'm a HUUUUGGGEEEE fan of parachute towers.
GrabowskiEnterprises Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Yeah well i love every aspect of amusement parks, but you got to admit, how the hell would you move something like that to another park?
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 ^Disassemble it and move it. SF did it all the time for a while. In fact, SFGAd's Parachute Tower was moved from SFSt.L.
coasterdude5 Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 1999 21st Season  The 21st season continues and so far the crowds have been steady. The lines for Rebellion can still surpass the 2 hour mark! Hopefully that will die down as the season progresses. Sometimes I feel brave enough to want to ride it again!  A nice view across the lake never hurt anyone.  Derecho's new paint job looks great - the ride looks brand new (almost).  I reported some time ago that Washout would be leaving. Those plans have apparently been cancelled. We need the rides to stick around longer!  Batman is still a hit with guests!  I better get out of the way!  Have a great day!  - Joe
mcjaco Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Â Looking across the lake never hurt anyone, but that guy seems to be able to walk through tables!
imawesome1124 Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 ^ Â Lol, I didn't notice that until you pointed that out, that is awesome! The updates are too, they seem to get better and better. I am seriously jealous of your skills, John. Keep the updates coming.
coasterdude5 Posted September 10, 2010 Author Posted September 10, 2010 1999 21st Season  We're in the dead heat of the summer. The crowds are heavy, the lines are long, and there's little rain to give us any relief.  The days are hazy...  Coaster riding isn't as fun when it's this sweltering.  That doesn't stop me from taking a spin on Undertaker, though!  I've heard that we may see an even bigger coaster come to the park within the next three years.  Once the sun begins to set, the temperature falls ever so slowly.  I'm ready for the fall season!  - Joe
Mastersax68 Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 ^ Well I certainly do! If not, then it has to be a Goliath/Titan Clone. Either way, I'm excited!
imawesome1124 Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I still think it is going to be a SROS clone, whatever it is I'm excited.
CorkscrewFoley Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 S:RoS clone...By clone, I do hope it's the SFNE version...more important, I do hear there might be some relief coming, rain and cooler temps.
coasterdude5 Posted September 13, 2010 Author Posted September 13, 2010 1999 21st Season  I've been hearing a lot of things about next season. Some are saying to expect something small, while others are saying that Six Flags is going big for the new millenium. I'll keep you updated.  A new eatery has opened next to Rebellion.  Rebellion attracts even more attention at night.  If you're scared of heights, it might be a little easier to ride at night.  We can't forget about the other side of the park!  Vulture has gotten pretty rough over the years. It's a classic, though!  - Joe
808Freq Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 1999. So Vulture probably has a few seasons left. I'm betting expansion will be across that lake. I wish I could get this thing to work in game. I'd love to see this park in game.
