siby Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I am a working on a engineer requirement for a theme park and I am not able to understand what PPM means. Can anyone throw some light on the term Siby
brilinjo Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 People Per Minute? Parts Per Million? People Pee Messily?
TheBannedKid Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Yea, in any occurrence I've encountered at work PPM means Parts Per Million.
Carnage Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Parts per million is how I know PPM as. In engineering it's probably likely that's what it refers to as well. But we can only guess, as you're not telling us what the context is. How it's being used will determine what it means.
Purplepills Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 If its engineering I'll also say parts per million. What exactly is the PPM referring to though? As ^ said its hard to judge when you've just said PPM and not what sentences its been used in etc.

davidmorton Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 In IT system management terms, Project Portfolio Management. Dave "PPM consultant! (no, really!)" M.
dandaman Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 It's really PMW, only they referred to it as Pot instead of Weed.
siby Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 Actually I am looking to recruit ride engineers(mechanical/electrical) for one the biggest theme parks in UK.They are looking for people who have experience with PPM. I researched on the term and I came across Parts Per Million ,Periodic Permanent Magnet,Pulses Per Minute etc. I was looking for some information. siby
ebl Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 I did just typed "PPM" on Yahoo! and got this page. Google might shed some light on this as well. Eric
haux Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Why don't you ask the theme park? If you don't understand, why did you turn to the Internet?
natatomic Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 It's really PMW, only they referred to it as Pot instead of Weed. Nooooo! You beat me to it!
downunder Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Purple People Movement - I think it has something to do with Prince, the one from Minneapolis not England.
dandaman Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Purple People Movement Is that when the Purple People Eater eats too many of Robb's hot wings?
downunder Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 ^Too true, those kind of movements register on the richter scale.
PeoplemoverMatt Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 It's the typo version of my name's acronym.
