Photo TR: Insomnia

So yeah, I can't sleep tonight and have to get up around 3:30 am for long day and photo shoot. Greeeeeaaat.

 

I'm tired and punchy and trying to find some way to pass the time. Got the brilliant idea of a random TR. Fair warning: In my tired and silly state, this may be the most pointless TR (and I've posted some pretty pointless ones) I've ever subjected TPR to. However, I will try my best to make it a little entertaining, what with the crappy cell phone pics and all.

 

Ready? Off we go!

And we'll end this travesty with Pizza ERT.

I hate when I get bouts of insomnia. You know you'll be exhausted, so you set aside the time to sleep, yet you just can't sleep.

All those pics of Bettie Page reminded me of a party in Madrid. The music was bumping and the next thing you know, pics of Bettie came on the monitors and these scantily clad girls came on the stage and started dancing around.

 

I asked my friend "This is a gay party right?"

 

The girls weren't working it to my satisfaction though. They should have been bucking and crawling around the stage. The only dancers allowed to dance in one place (in my book) are the men, and that was because they were too muscle-bound to move!

 

And your fridge was CLEAN! But I guess that's because nothing was in it!

Hey, thanks for the kind words all. This one truly was a random thrown to tether with no thought kind of thing.

 

Good to see other Bettie Fans too.

 

Since you're all dying to know (yeah not really, but play along anyway), the trip was so-so but ended up with a nice dinner with friends. Fine Birmingham wings and vast amounts of coke were consumed (the drink people, the drink). My friends Raymond and Paris (whom I was best man at their wedding) surprised me with a bottle of Brogans Irish Creme! This was a real treat considering my love of Bailey's and St. Brendon's. Once in a blue moon, a wee nip of either is a nice treat. Back to point, what a great gift from them and a cool way to end up a long and tiring day.

 

Yeah, I'm really a lucky guy.

Such a fun, random TR. Nice kitchen theming and that refrigerator just screams, "single guy" haha. Love the Bettie Page items though, especially the pillow; where exactly do you lay your head on that...?

Interesting. Maybe you need some color on your walls. Relaxing color like light green and not so "insane asylum white."

 

I have a mini fountain in my room and that helps to knock me to sleep. Hopefully you are able to get some sleep tonight. If none of that helps just start counting rafts on your favorite rapids ride.

Thanks Scott. It almost turned into a "TPR Scavenger Hunt" just to find references to people, but I couldn't remember clearly who all enjoyed what or had an inside joke about what. Perhaps that will appear in a future (and equally pointless) PTR.

So true Moose. As for the fridge, just hadn't had time to get to the grocery store. I'm one of those weirdos in Walmart at midnight. Big suprise. Keeping an eye out for duckies during my travels for you as well as other folks likes.

I cracked up Terry once with a similar line. We both had a good laugh. His response was the best: "..and I thought, somebody is feeling very free tonight!". I still chuckle over that one.

Not really a big drinker, but do like a wee nip of Bailey's, St. Brendons and now Brogans Irish Creme. Corona and lime now and then isn't bad either. Can we say light weight? Lol! Brogans is keeping my fridge company for a while.

Well, the insomnia and trip was about a week and a half ago, but that advice is timeless....and funny! I like it.

I should have done one of these during the summer! I once stayed up till 5:30am! I sometimes just cant get to sleep during the summer but once school starts each year and i have to get up at 6:30am I'm in bed by 11:30!
