pgathriller Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Check out this cool new ride that Zamperla is making! Here is the link! http://www.technicalpark.com/News/Flying-Furi.htm I would love to ride that!
Jak Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 That is one cool ride 8) ,but I think the only problem is that it doesn't seem to have a very good capacity.
Homey G. Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 At a 5 minute ride time/cycle. You're talking about a 100% guarantee that this would be an upcharge attraction. And probably not a cheap one. I'd say easily in excess of 20$ per person.
coaster1 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Looks like a decent ride for Technical Park, not Zamperla .. however, not many people buy from Technical Park.
DenDen Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Technical Park should be called "The Carney Store". LOL
Shadowforce Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 One of these were supposed to go to the Finnish Powerpark last year, but it was cancelled because "It is too difficult and time-consuming to teach the riders to control the planes." Way to save themselves from actually working at Powerpark. From what I hear, they don't usually operate their rides unless you ask them. Nicely.
TwistedTrack Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 its sweet how you can control the arobatics on it
CoasterCrazy Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 That ride looks like a lot of fun!8) I just hope that a park near me gets one.
coasterdude5 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Definately an upcharge attraction! Looks awesome! That would go great pretty much anywhere.
Thuur Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Looks pretty boring, probably I'm the only one... I don't see how that can be exciting, nothing really special, just a Huss XXL frisbee. Only difference, you're not in a big circle but in a airplane. Sorry... And besides, it's Technical Park. If their rides are outside for more then 1 year, the paint goes away because of the weather (Don't really know how to explain, but I hope you understand)
Sir Clinksalot Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 At first I thought it looked like a new version of the "Salt N' Pepper Shaker". But after review it does look cool, but definately upcharge.
bgwfreak Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 That's a cool looking ride. Although it looks like they got the idea from S&S's Screamin Swing (which is a blast by the way!!) I've never heard of that company. It's funny how many of their rides are remakes of older rides like the paratrooper.
coaster1 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Again it's Technical Park, not Zamperla. I know Technical Park isn't very big in the US, for good reason too. The Ferris Wheel at Celebration City is a Technical Park wheel, when it was Branson USA, they had HUGE issues with it .. Chance actually fixed most of the problems with the wheel when SDC bought the place.
coasterdude5 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Yeah, I've never heard of Technical Park until now.
coasterdude5 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Yeah I noticed that too. My favorite (not a remake) was that 2 Fast 2 Furious ride where it launches you real fast. That looked sweet!
pgathriller Posted July 11, 2005 Author Posted July 11, 2005 Sorry about the names. It's Technical Park not Zamperla. I think it will be a big hit in the U.S. I think that because it is like a simulation ride that you can actually can control. It will bring in big bucks to! $$$
krouvi Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 There are talkings about this ride for few years now. However I think this is only an idea for a ride and if ever - you will be able ti find it maybe in fairs.
coasterdude5 Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Looks like it might be hard to move with all that hi tech equipment inside but they could probably do it anyway. It wouldn't be good if dropped!
benzo41190 Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 If that ride was at a traveling fair, imagine how the equipment like the screens will get damaged. I mean there was a 2 year old ride at our fair and the speakers that worked last year were broke this year. Also I bet that there would be plenty of problems with people who dont know how the work it and they get stuck upsidown.
