coasterdude5 Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 ^ You did! Remind me when the park opens and I'll send it to you.
DBru Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 ^Will do! (And yes, I got another RCT3 disk, so my problems are resolved...for now. lol)
coasterdude5 Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 Update Pre-Opening Here are some more shots from Barracuda's first test run! The first drop is pretty big. Down the first drop... Overview of Barracuda At this point, the ride is going about 55mph. Check back soon for more updates.
coastercrazy216 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 That could be one of the best coasters you have ever built. Its very graceful. Its compact and also very iconic.
cinciDAWGS12 Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 This is freaking sweet already! Keep it up!
coasterdude5 Posted August 17, 2008 Author Posted August 17, 2008 That could be one of the best coasters you have ever built. Its very graceful. Its compact and also very iconic. Thank you! I've taken quite a long break from wooden coasters. My last one was the one at Taiga park and that was about a year ago.
Kalepi_Konei Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I have to agree, that is a very amazing wooden coaster! And I love the layout!
coasterdude5 Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Special Update Barracuda Video Check out CD5's first coaster video in nearly two years! Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EMcnrq9uyU
KPWoCkAxX Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 An excellent ride! I loved it! A little rough in some places but after all it is a woodie! It had a great speed all the way round and the camera angles you used in the video captured every perfecion of this ride! 5/5!
AlmereStars Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 looks pretty awesome, nice and compact! like the helix before the drop
coasterdude5 Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 Speaking out of character here, I'm sure everybody is aware of Hurricane Gustav by now. I have made the decesion that if Gustav damages New Orleans like Katrina did, Orleans Place Boardwalk will not continue or will be put on an extended hiatus. I am hoping for the best, but if the city is in the state it was after Katrina, focusing on building an entertainment center would not be a respectable thing to be doing. Again, I am hoping for the best. I just want everybody to know what to expect with this park. If it doesn't continue, I want to thank everybody for all of the kind compliments that they gave me. I really felt like I took a step up with this park. Update Pre-Opening Well, I'm about to head up north to my father-in-law's to weather out the storm. No telling what's going to happen to this place... Construction has, of course, been put on hold. The park's Boardwalk Inn is nearing completion. It looks very nice at night. I bet this area will provide some great views! The other side of the hotel is just as impressive. Very bright! They told me it shouldn't be this bright when the park opens. I still have some more shots leftover from the other night that I'll post later. God Bless New Orleans.
DBru Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I love the hotel! And wow, you're even more respectful than I thought, John
kraken613 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Well looking great! I hope its not too bad down there!
KPWoCkAxX Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I bet a room at the hotel dosen't come cheap!
KPWoCkAxX Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 ^ Lol. Looking forward to seeing this coaster! Can I ask though, Is that Vekoma Track?
AlmereStars Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 looks great I would change some colors though (every building a different colour) so it stands out more. can't wait for the coaster
cinciDAWGS12 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 ^That's exactly what I was thinking...Either that or maybe a Vekoma boomerang.
Jcoaster Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Maybe a Vekoma Launch like Zambi Zinger from HHE. . If not then it might be a Boomerang.
