steel
Well, the big three (GCI, B&M, Intamin) are all still there. I'm officially rooting for GCI starting... now.
Hobbesx2
I want a GCI the most, which is lucky because it seems the most likely. Sort of.
holyblakbelt
I might've said it once, but I'll say it again. I think that CF will do like they did with the Morgan Hypercoasters. When one is made, then three more are made. I liked what they did with Renegade and I'll like what they do If they do go forward with a GCI. Hobbesx2
^I hope that happens. Good point.
coolhandluke
^^Or they'll add two more Mavericks. Or two more Pony Expresses. Though I would think GCI would be the most logical guess based on size, thrill and quality. Or a nice Intamin accelerator, and get a launcher in the lineup. I don't think they'll go wrong, whatever they get. It'll be fun to watch it develop!
christianscoasters
I was supposed to be going to WOF today. But there were several things that came up, so it has been rescheduled until after June 20th. Oh well at least I still get to go sometime. And my bet is GCI.

christianscoasters
That makes me hope for a GCI even more. However, it could be wood for almost anything. Even a building
steel
At this point in the game, I would be completely amazed if this didn't turn out GCI. EK is done, so the timing is perfect. Renegade was a huge hit and CF has said they want more. The terrain is ideal for a woodie. Worlds of Fun has gone two years without any additions at all. It just fits too well for this to be coincidence. The only other explanation I can think of is that the wood is for Timber Wolf, but I don't think they're in need of too much more wood for that project just now. Hobbesx2
^Yah, lots of things point to GCI. I'm getting excited here.

Jive
Is it for wood bending or steel?
btp1
Definitely wood...the steel beams wouldn't fit in there, and also I believe that the steel come pre-molded/bent anyway.
Jive
I'm talking about the the steel track that is found on wood coasters. Wood bends pretty easily.
Johnny Upsidedown
Thats looks like the machine that they used to bend the steel runners that go around the track. Each steel plate is custom made for each section of the coaster and has to be bent to fit the wood precisely.. Wood is bent by hand and not so much bent as one would think but more bent to fit a general shape and trimmed to fit into its place.. This kinda shows how they make a curve... http://www.johnnyupsidedown.com/starliner/st180a.jpg And this photo you will see how they lay a bunch or boards along where they will go (see to top of hill).. They let the boards lay for a week or so and the boards will naturally start to curve down or up to fit a hill section. Then they are forced into place with clamps and stuff before nailing in place and bolting them to the cross members... http://www.johnnyupsidedown.com/starliner/st191a.jpg

bigstevet07
The International Wildlife Organization warning? Lame. I do like how they are trying a little viral marketing of their own. Obviously no where near the level of Farenheit however.
