Jew
http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=731 That's the coaster, right? If so, it's already been listed for sale for almost two years now...makes you wonder. I personally don't think there is much of a market here in the U.S. for this type of ride. For the price, there are a lot of other more attractive options than a 30 year old traveling coaster that doesn't have any marketable features (height, speed, loops, etc.). After you factor in the cost of installation, the price probably comes pretty close to Sponge Bob @ MoA (listed at 2.9 mil on RCDB). If RCS didn't already buy that awful looper at the now defunct Santa's Village, I would say that this would have been a perfect fit for them. They have a schedule that could support a coaster like that (LA county fair, OC county fair, CA state fair, Houston Rodeo...), and already have experience hauling around a sh*tload of trailers because of their giant wheel. Oh well.
cfc
I've grown rather fond of these Schwarzkopf loopers--I hope this one finds a good home. Any bets on Cypress Gardens or Wild Adventures picking it up?
montezooma
It seems like it would be a great addition to Holiday World. It is about time they get something that loops
King_K.
I took some pictures tonight, got a good shot of the Schwarzkopf logo on the front of the trains. I'll post them up later.
DCody
(drooling over King_K's photos) I just love the distinctive look of those Doppels.
downunder
I wanna ride it, send it to Luna Park Sydney, our fine city of over 4 million deserves to have more than 1 coaster (and it's only a creaky wild mouse, geez).
montezooma
Well as luck would have it you can take one last ride on the Doppel Looping... Well actually this was when the ride was located a little more north, at the CNE. And as a bonus you can also got a POV ride on the Flyer. The great woody that is also no more. I love seeing the CN tower as the train crests the lift. I hope this treasure finds a home stateside (Mid-Atlantic preferably!). The CNE Flyer is ANOTHER woodie I visited and explored but never got to ride. Why were there so many?
montezooma
The CNE Flyer is ANOTHER woodie I visited and explored but never got to ride. Why were there so many? I guess it all has to do with bad planning. Just like when I drove to Charlotte on a Friday so I could ride White Lightnin'. Never in a million years would I have guessed that a theme park would have been closed on a Friday in the middle of summer. But Carowinds was and I never got to ride White Lightnin'

Never in a million years would I have guessed that a theme park would have been closed on a Friday in the middle of summer. But Carowinds was and I never got to ride White Lightnin' Aside from the OV Rocket, which needed a certain number of riders before a train would return to the station, all the other coasters I visited but never got to ride were already closed ... with no hope of ever reopening. I remember when Carowinds closed on Fridays. Very strange. Sorry you missed White Lightning. At the very least, that one is still operating ... in South Africa. My dream is for Carowinds to get a new version of WL .. with a nice reliable LIM launch mechanism. Wieland Schwarzkopf, are you listening !?! CoasterComet
It's a little *too bad* that Laser is in a CF park. Dorney has been totally neutered by CF. That aside, it's still the best ride in the park! It's very dumb that a big company like CF can't fix it up a little so you can pick your seat. I could see this other looper going somewhere like Holidayworld. I do think, though, that when they do get a looper, it will be something new and very unique (I HOPE something old skool like Mindbender or Revolution, that would be the bomb!)
