www.thesims3.com is finally up!

Sadly its being alittle wonky right now so I cant do much on it, but form what Ir ead in magazine articles the sims 3 looks very promising. Gameplay will be extremely different form the sims 2.

And on a side note, Nolimitscoaster.de says a news update about the progress of Nolimits 2 is coming this March, and it's already March 19th

Well the SIM world has drastically changed since the sims 1 original game. There's alot more to do now and alot of challenges you can set for yourself. The original sim game is uncomparable to the sims 2 with all the expansions.

This game looks cool and has better things. Sims 1 still beats Sims 2 badly if you ahve Sims 1 Complete Collection that you can but at like Target for $40.00. Sims 1 is just better than Sims2 so lets hope Sims3 beats them both good! Sims2 is more mission and objectives than building dream houses like in Sims2! Sims3 looks more realistic than the others!

Sorry, I know this isn't a cheat site. Lets hope it's good though!

^ Uhhh, who didn't know that cheat?

Will Sims 3 take as much space up on your computer as Sims 2? It was really fun, until it started to lag (badly)...

That's the only complaint i have for Sims 2, lag. I love the game, me and my sis have nearly all of the expansion packs. But it lags sooooo much, it sometimes makes the game unplayable.

I have all the expansion packs for both Sims 1 and 2.

They're gonna have to show me some amazing stuff to get me to buy "The Sims 3". Right now, the screen shots make the game look like it has very few graphic advances. The only thing that I see making it "worthwhile" is you can place furniture diagonally.

These are based off the screen shots off of IGN.com

And I have to admit, I've bought the expansion packs and haven't bothered with them that much. I'm kind of OVER The Sims really. So it will take something amazing to draw me back in.

^ There's a Sims 2 cheat/hack that lets you place furniture diagonally anyway ... boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true through the cheat console,

Well, personally I think that considering that this is the sims we're talking about here, and the fact that now the entire town will show, not to mention people complaining about the sims 2 lagging alot, the graphics are pretty darn advanced and impressive. Sims look less cartoony than before.

And also, keep in mind, what they tried to revolutionize in the sims 3 isn't the graphics, it's the gameplay. The game is going to be very different now, not just some "Adde dgraphics" expansion pack.

Your sims will be constructed differently(with character traits instead of various meters and whatnot), no more social/energy/bladder/etc. meters, only three, which I forgot(one of them is stress vs. fun though). The rest will still exist, but they'll be hidden. and alot more stuff that you can see by reading through articles that have been posted in magazines about the game.

I was a little worried at first having read all the things they're going to change, because if it ain't broken, why fix it? Plus I know that this did NOT work well for simcity societies. But after having read through two articles about the game I am fairly certain they know what they're doing and this could turn out better than the previous games.

Personally, i really like the cartoonish look the characters have, and i'm kind of dissapointed that they're improving this.

I don't like this much either. I thought the way they were constructed was fine, and that the social meters really helped the game to sucess, and made it feel like a really good simulation game, as did the personality meters.

The graphic improvements that i've seen on the screenshots don't impress me much either. They look more detailed then the Sims 2, however the difference is so slight that i probably wouldn't take much notice of it anyway.
