Sorry that I haven't commented

The park looks good, but there's some few things, I think you could change - it will look so much better, if you do it:

1. The rocks around LTTT's fountain plaza - try putting more of them under the ground, if you know what I mean?

2. I think the logo signs used for the cafés are too big; try to make them smaller, and it wouldn't look so blocky.

^It's funny that you brought that up, because I just got some new billboards!

And yes, I know exactly what you mean about the rocks. I'll work on it...

Park si coming along really well... YEa, I was thinking the same about the rocks and billboards, and also think about putting some railings or siddings along the the paths, other than that everything looks very good. SO your not going to be on here that often since your going to hawaii?

^lol, no. I didn't have a summer update so I came up with a story so I could skip to fall. I'm trying to tell the story line of the park as an entertainment adviser from Indianapolis, so none of this is true...

Oh, and path enhancements will come sometime within the next two seasons!

I will put up the next update in an hour or two. I am VERY happy with how the 1997 additions turned out...

ANNOUNCEMENT

Today Mark Campbell announced to the public what the park would be adding in 1997.

Last year we concentrated on families, but this year we wanted to target thrill seekers! For 1997, Indiana Adventures will be adding a new thrill ride, along with a coaster! The first attraction is Banshee, an incredible ride that will spin and flip you all the way through the ride, it will have a 54" height requirement, the highest in the park, to ensure rider's safety.

The second ride is a Maurer Söhne Wild Mouse. It is a custom roller coaster that is set above a beautiful lake that you will come in very close contact with. This ride is not for the weak, the Dragonfly will fly around curves at high speeds and down steep drops, so hold on tight!

I really like the new attractions, take a look at them and make sure to tell me what you think...

What is that I see through the trees???

Oh yeah, it the park's newest thrill ride, Banshee!

Banshee's logo...

Banshee is a Bussink Evolution. I think it looks pretty fun!

Dragonfly, IA's new wild mouse's logo!

Dragonfly's station and entrance...

I love Dragonfly's setting! Its reflection in the lake is beautiful...

The coaster is a custom mouse by Maurer Söhne. It is currently the only wild mouse to feature both a double up AND a double down!

In other news, the park has redesigned LTTT's fountain plaza. Though you can't really tell from this angle, the rocks have been buried into the ground. The water pressure has also been decreased on the fountain to save the amount of water used by 20%!

Season begins in early may this year!

Opening Day, 1997

Hey guys, well, after a mild winter I am FINALLY back at Indiana Adventures! It was a beautiful day today, the sun was shining and clouds were nowhere in sight. The park was busy, but I still had a great time! A fun fact: because of its location, Dragonfly is the park's tallest coaster! Looking at it, you really wouldn't think that...

Onto some photos!

Before we get to the new stuff, first let me show you what the new LTTT fountain plaza looks like compared to the last year.

Before...

After!

Banshee's location makes it look a LOT larger than it actually is.

I was getting dizzy by this point...

Here is Greenwood Grill's new sign. It's a lot smaller, and I like it because it isn't as big and blocky as before. What do you think?

Here is the entrance to Dragonfly. The signs with the logo's on them look cool, but I think the park should remove the sign as you enter the queue line. It hides the beautiful fountains and landscaping...

When I approached Dragonfly, it sure didn't look very thrilling...

Boy, was I wrong! The location is amazing IMO. It feels as if you are going to just dive into the water!

Experiencing the double-down...

And the double-up! I love this picture, it captures a great element on the coaster, the reflections in the lake, and the beautiful sunset... I want to go back!

The new attractions have really drawn people to the back of the park, so ridership on Mill Creek Falls has dramatically increased.

An overview of the park on opening day, 1997. It looks a lot bigger here than it seems from ground-level...

See you this summer!

Looks good. I find taking the signs off at the front of the queues look much better and Dragonfly has such a good sign above the station, it renders it kinda pointless.

Otherwise I think the park is coming along nicely!

PArk is coming along very well. Pointers and suggestions, for your dragonfly sign, I think you should put a custome dragonfly billboard up, it will bring out the character. If you wanted, I wouldnt mind designing you one. Just in your future parks, I know is too late now, but think about widing your paths, thats the mistake I made when I first tried building PFW, and one more thing. How did you design your brochure, like I said before, I LOVE IT, very unique. Keep up the good work.

... of yea, I almost forgot. By looking at you arial shot above, it looks like you croped it. I'm not sure if you knew, to make things a lot easiar... there is a cheat to take out the utility arond the boaders. name one of you peeps david walsh, then hit ctrl+u, and it will dissapear. then take your shot, makes the pix look a lot better. then hit it again for it to come back.... ok, thats all...lol.

Thanks everyone!

PKD Freak- How do you make custom signs? That would be completely awesome if you could make me one, but how do I use it? Thank you for the aerial pic tip, those utility things are REALLY annoying!

Oh, and I made the brochure with paint and powerpoint! It is fairly easy to do, but it does take a long time... You take the "line" function, draw one down the middle, use the "square" function to color the backgrounds of each side, and you just customize the rest anyway you want!

Far as the CS, Im going to PM you about that. far as using it, when I post it on here, just save it to you pictures and pull it up on your BB, jsut like your other signs. I jsut wish I could use mines...lol. Thanks for the brochure tip, I'll we probably get to it in the near future.

Thanks! I'll experiment with them. Look out for some credit in 1998, PKD Freak... lol

Summer, 1997

Well, today honestly wasn't my best day at the park. It was dark, rainy, and HOT! Despite the weather conditions, all rides stayed open during the day with no problems, so I'll give props to Indiana Adventures for that. I hadn't visited the left side of the park yet this year, so that's what I headed to first. Onto some pics...

Black Widow from the River Wheel's queue. You can get some pretty good views of the park from here...

Grain Grinder... THROUGH THE TREES!!!

Even with the rain, I don't understand why Memory Lane doesn't get the ridership it deserves. It really is a great family ride.

Cool shot of Black Widow from its queue...

Mr. Campbell's Big-Top isn't as exciting as it was last year.

The park has removed the sign over Dragonfly's queue, let me show you a comparison.

Before...

After! I personally think it looks a whole lot better.

Overview of Dragonfly. This coaster is truly insane!

I'll leave you with this view, which is supposedly going to change very, VERY soon...

Last day of the season, 1997

Hey again. Did you have a good summer? Well I went out to the park today for the end of the season, and it was nice. I saw some new things, heard some new things, but I'm not completely sure what to believe.

The River Wheel was down all day, which was strange, but everything else seemed to be working fine. The sun was shining most of the day, and it was pretty warm. If you didn't get out to the park today, here are some pictures to see how things went...

I've never realized how great a shot you can get of Black Widow before even entering the park!

I wonder if those ladies realize how much water they're wasting...

Don't you just love these great shots of Grain Grinder I've been getting lately?

I never noticed that you could see Hideout from Memory Lane...

I never noticed you could see this... hey wait a second...

A bathroom with Hideout in the background.

Banshee really towers over the east side of the park!

We can't forget about you, Dragonfly.

No Entry Signs + New Path = ???

I hear the announcement is coming soon...

ANNOUNCEMENT

"For the 1998 season, Indiana Adventures will introduce a new roller coaster to the park's lineup of thrill rides!" Began park owner, Mark Campbell, "We have agreed to be the first park in the world to open a new type of attraction from B&M. The ride will be a Dive Machine called Plummet."

"Plummet is set on the side of a cliff, the same cliff that Mill Creek Falls drops from. After the coaster takes a short, yet fun trip through an ancient village, it will take a climb up to tree-top level, and then drop 125 feet at 90* to the surface of water!" Explained Campbell."

"Plummet is an adrenaline pumping attraction that we are sure will attract thrill seekers from all over the world!"

The Dive Machine will reach speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. It will be one of a few new attractions debuting at the park in spring, 1998.[/u]
