hansrubens Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 On a dutch TV program they show a fragment of an old show. This show was about records and stunts. Just watch the video...
Adrenaline_Rush Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I saw one like this at the Desparado coaster. If you look at the end you can see he didnt get the last chain off... http://youtube.com/watch?v=yOA6lLnJxmw And a recent Infusion escape....
texcoaster Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 The Desperado one is whack. Interesting how they show the coaster running its course while he's still working on the handcuffs... then they back up and show him with both hands free, working on the waist chains and the coaster is STILL going up the lift hill. He was halfway free before the thing even got over the first hill.
Groteslurf Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Cool to watch, the amazing Joe Alcatraz Although I have a feeling that it's more about acting and jumping away at the right moment, than real escaping. Compliments in that case for the guy on Desperado : he really jumped at the very last moment. I think he was even slightly hit by the train.
Team Thriller Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I saw one like this at the Desparado coaster. If you look at the end you can see he didnt get the last chain off... http://youtube.com/watch?v=yOA6lLnJxmw And a recent Infusion escape.... That was David Blane.
FLIPDUDE Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I didnt watch the infusion one... The eftling one looks real but the Desperado one is in no way shape or form real.
cycamps Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 The Desperado one did look fairly fake. I think anyone who trys that is an idiot.
eddie200330 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Does anyone remember the old TV show from the early 80's "That's Incredible"? One episode showed a man with a set of skis hooked to a coaster chassis and skied around a corkscrew coaster somewhere. I have tried to do some searching on the internet but I can't find any info on the old websites about the episode or the coaster.
Adrenaline_Rush Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 What about the guy who had rollerblades specially designed and rollerbladed a rollercoaster similair to the RIP (thank heavens) Python at BGA.
Moose Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I am shocked that the parks allowed someone to be chained to the track. Forget the person being chained, the chain itself could do a ton of damage to the coaster if it was left in place.
