Angry_Gumball Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 http://www.ebaumsworld.com/videos/swings.html A yo-yo swing collapses with riders on it. Not sure how old or real this is but found it interesting. Kinda reminded me of the evil wave swinger @ PGA when it did that wobbly thing and the ride ops couldn't get it under control.
SpartanTS Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005  That's just crazy. I hope everyone was okay.
c0sterfreek Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 3 words will describe that....... OH MY GOD! :dead: Im sorry for those people! Chris " I always hated carnival rides" V.
Coasterlicious Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 Did that happen to be a Six Flags?.. (just kidding)
Ed Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 I saw this early this morning after watching the Spider vs Mouse video.. I didn't think I would be more shocked ever but I was stunned..
AllisonY2K Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 OMG. I don't think that one guy they highlighted was okay. that's terrible.
Jordan Shankman Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 Damn, i've seen that before. It creeps me out...
Mind Eraser Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 If I recall, this (old) video was at a small park in Asia - not a carnival. And nobody on the ride was hurt, even that kid who appeared to have been smashed. -kip-
Not For Sale Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 If I recall, this (old) video was at a small park in Asia - not a carnival. And nobody on the ride was hurt, even that kid who appeared to have been smashed. -kip- I'm pretty sure that's correct.
ECZenith Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 I just got home from a carnival to hit some flat rides. (Foxboro, MA) While I agree that some rides look shabby and could use some paint, I trust traveling rides as much as flat rides at amusement parks. The ride jocks on the other hand, are usually in worse shape than the rides.
FlyingScooter Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 I've been to plenty of carnivals. I've also seen how the rides are put together and by whom. Day labor, show up to the site at 8 am and you too can build Tilt A Whirl. no thanks... Me, i'm affraid of Carnies, you know, circus folk. Small hands, smell like cabbage.
