Since we touched the topic of Turbulence, I'm so HAPPY they canceled that thing.. I never liked the idea of plopping down this huge mass of steel in the middle of "Founders Circle".. a nicer area of the park. Wasn't it going to be close to 200' to the top? If it was out in Midway America I'd be fine with it but I like the classic feel of the front of the park/Comet Hollow.

Midway America already has that huge pile of Playskool vomit (East Coast Waterworks).. and all the nice grass is now concrete.. so put anything ugly out there from now on and leave the trees alone! Thanks!

Thats just my opinion.. I know Hershey couldn't be happier with the success of the waterpark.. so much so that they should have looked into building a real one at the Fairview Golf Course land!

I was planning on heading down to the park Sunday. First to renew my season pass before the prices go up. Second to walk around and gawk and point at survey markings on the ground. Third to stand in front of the Founder's Circle fountain and try to channel the spirit of Milton-- maybe he can slip me some inside info about this new attraction.

And kettle corn, I almost forgot. Have to buy a bag of kettle corn. Maybe the mix of sweet and salty plus the crunch will stimulate the nerve endings of my brain. Ahh, the hell with that, it just tastes good.

We still haven't figured out a definite answer about the hotel room pic, have we? I mean the first one, before the homer message. Mirror image-- looking SW. Boston. Lots of "two's" floating around the blog and website. What's it all about? C'mon Martin/donan/luke. Give us some clues that lead to something, not just dead ends.

^^I'm aware that there are people that have inside scoops (I've been in that position before) but when there are posts made that seem to contradict the ones a few pages back, it's hard to sound credible. The point that I was trying to make is things aren't really "official" until it's been "officially" announced. And in some cases :cough:turbulance:cough: things can still change after it's been made official.

Oh and hpfan3, if that post seems a little harsh it wasn't intended too. It's hard make stuff sound right when you're just looking at words lol.

I understand. But I'm not telling you to listen to me. I'm just saying, as a person with connections in and around hershey, I can tel you that Hersheyparkfan3's info is accurate. I put my own reputation on the line by saying it. He's got the info you want

Alright. So I E-Mailed the donan@nantimi.com address asking whether it was too late to jump on the bandwagon with these clues, and this is what I got back:

Tyler,

I need your full date of birth first.

Did anybody else have to give their date of birth? I really don't get what my date of birth has to do with anything...maybe they aren't E-Mailing people under a certain age?

Okay, so, after a little bit of thought, I believe that perhaps this is Hershey leading up to their announcement. I mean, I think there has been far too much effort put into this for it to be some dumb enthusiast leading everyone else on. No one has that much time on their hands, and if I'm wrong, well then whoever is behind this really, really needs a life.

As for guesses, looking at everything, it's obviously an Intamin, but the scale of the announcement seems to be a bit off for another Lift and Launch coaster like Maverick. I'm thinking, after looking at all the other rides they have, an Intamin Hyper. I hope to God I'm right, as that would mean yet another mind-blowing roller coaster from Intamin, and it could perhaps be HP planning on besting S:RoS or even Expedition GeForce.

^which would be absolutely amazing. I'm so hoping in that hopeful boat, even though it might be a stretch for something like that, before Storm Runner was announced we thought it was either a rocket or Hyper, or even Junior Hyper like Goliath in Holland. Either way, that would make me one happy kid if that's the case!

I just returned from Hershey park and have some items to share. Chute out is closed and a temporary fence is in place. There are a ton of those S markings all around that area and also the column markings the only ones that really stand out is the three that were posted here before. There are a couple triangle markings over in front of the wildcat with numbers associated but says nothing about columns. The one thing that made me think was of the picture below. I found these all the way over in comet hollow between the paddle boat cafe and super dooper looper. Directly underneath the netting where great bear crosses over top. This made me wonder is it going to go all the way over there or are these marking new drainage systems that are going in and have nothing to do with the new attraction. Or is this a super sized attraction?

Anybody else have any ideas?

I'm beginning to wonder if the "S" shape stands for "Suckers"

I don't know where all this "S" business is coming from. Unless I'm getting confused with my alphabet, S faces the complete opposite direction from what those markings face.

No, my friends, those look much more like Zs or 2s. And I have my money on the latter. Not that I have any inkling as to what they would mean either way.
