thefitness
This Photo TR has picture from my visits on both July 1st, and 31st. This is my first Photo TR I'm actually in. Part 1 Clyde and Seamore Show Pacific Point Reserve Blue Horizons Kraken Part two is coming soon. Thanks for reading! Sorry about the blur, my camera was on the wrong setting. Krakens themeing is pretty good. The queue is cool, but the actual station isn't themed at all. Kraken! This coaster is really good, especially in the back. I found the front to be somewhat forceless. This part was crazy; they were all jumping in a huge group. The show is good, but they need to concentrate more on the animal performers than the humans. I think this was actually a species of whale. They were really long and skinny. Watching the dolphins is cool though. Blue Horizons, The dolphin show. It's so cheesey it's almost painful. My sister and I feeding the seals, I'm wearing the white shirt, and big sunglasses. Probably one of the loudest places in the park, It's one of my favorite exhibits. Pacific Point Reserve, home to seals and sea lions. At the end of the show the walrus came out. He was huge! The Otter crawled through this holes. He stole the treaure map. These guys were marooned on Pirate Island. Notice the color of his shirt. "I'm the king of the world!" Captain Squid, and her mate Shlappy. The Sea lion is either Clyde or Seamore...I forget. This lady really thought he was going to take her chips so she started running! This guy was the Pre-show. He was hilarious! He would sneak up behind people and imitate them, make fun of them, and lead them out of the stadium. It's worth seeing the show just to watch him! We went straight to "Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island". Yes, it's cheesey like all the other shows, but it's really funny. SeaWorld!
CP_RULES
From your pictures SeaWorld looks like one of those parks where the animals are actually having fun, which is great. Nice photos and captions, I liked the blur effect on that one even if it was accidental.
Little Coaster Girl
Very nice pictures. I would love to get to sea world.
jten11
cool..i like. Dont usually see many Sea World TRs. The blur in your pic actually works and gives a sensation of speed. This makes me want to go back for the atmoshpere (and Kraken since I never rode it). The last time I was there was when Journey to Atlantis opened.... spaceace12
Sorry about the blur, my camera was on the wrong setting. Actually, that adds to the picture, I like blurred pics, makes it look in motion.
coastercrazed49
Looks really good. The Blue Horizon show was on the travel channel. Wow that is the stupidest plot of any show. Does Kraken usually have a long line?
kraken613
The longest ive ever seen it was about 30 minutes and that was around spring break.
thefitness
Thanks for all the replies! To answer a few questions, the longest I've seen Krakens line is around 45min, and yes Blue Horizons has an extremely stupid plot. Part 2 Believe Wild Arctic Journey to Atlantis More Kraken And now for something completely random...A moron on a leash! Thanks for reading! Kraken is an awesome coaster, Journey to Atlantis is fun, and I haven't ridden Shamu Express yet. I'm interested in SeaWorld’s rumored 2009 coaster. This is from Journey to Atlantis' queue. Kraken from the Clyde and Seamore show. One last shot of Journey to Atlantis. The beginning of the ride is kind of trippy, but overall the theming is really cool. The ride really looks great. When I first rode I expected more coaster sections, but the ending is really fun. This ride is really fun. The two times I've been on it one of the audio things doesn’t work so I'm still trying to figure out why Medusa is pissed at you. It's my favorite exhibit in the park. Now that I think about it The Art and Design Team of HHN should come check this out for The Thing house! This is the Wild Arctic. To get here you have to take either the simulator, or watch the stationary film. This area is really cool, the belugas whales are swimming around, it's cold, and it looks like you are outside. I was almost relieved when it ended. I have yet to see the night show, which I hear is a lot better. A lot of people got wet, and freaked out...even though there were big signs saying "Soak Zone". WHALE! When Shamu actually did stuff, the show was good! The daytime Shamu show is called "Believe". It has a very cheesey story line, and there are a lot of dead spots in the show. Pufferfish
It's been a while since I've been to Seaworld, but it doesn't appear to have changed much. I loved Kraken from the first time I rode it. It is still one of my top ten. Journey to Atlantis is also my favorite water ride.
alpengeist04
Very nice pictures, thanks for the TR. ...and I agree, Kraken is great in the back.
RctInfinity
I wanted to know...did you remember hearing a "Polka-type" song while going up the outside lift of Journey? Very nice pictures, though. Especially the blur of Kraken going through a corkscrew.
thefitness
^Thanks! And, yes, the music is like "Greek Polka". It definitely fits in with how weird the ride is though!
Adrenaline_Rush
I didnt know that they had a rumored 2009 coaster because they are spending ALL that money on Aquatica, so I'd expect something small. Nice Photo TR, I like Journey better than the ones with all the coaster sections because this ride has more themeing and a story line on saving atlantis, though the tree falling sound is really random before the coaster part, lol! kewlcoasterdude
I agree, Kraken is a great coaster. One of my all time favorites. The Clyde and Seymore show was so funny! Great place to visit, even for adults.[/i]
kraken613
Kraken was my first coaster ever so it has a special place in my heart.
RctInfinity
Kraken was my first coaster ever so it has a special place in my heart. I agree. It was my first B&M, and it made quite a great first impression for 100+ foot tall coasters everywhere.
kraken613
The only B&M above it on my list is Top Gun: The Jet Coaster in the front or back left seat! The only coaster that ties it is Thunderhead I love Thunderhead! Actually i've never been on a B&M that i've not enjoyed but there are some that just stand out. resonancej
I also like that pic of Kraken zooming past you, when you're standing there behind the gate you can feel it go WHOOOOSH thru the corkscrew. I'm glad you had fun there, I actually really enjoy SeaWorld, it makes for a nice relaxing day in comparison to the intensity of Universal. Besides, I love the animals, particularly those seals in the bay...they're very demanding.
