coasterdude5
^ Great photos. What all was there in Spongebob's spot before Nick came in? I heard it was Mystery Mine something but what exactly was it? I wonder what they'll do for expansion in the future...
Sticky Nicky
Mystery Mine was a motin stimulator ride. i.e. Spongebob at KI. Ironicly, one of it's last movies was the Spongebob one.
jerryd
Mystery Mine Ride at Mall of America was a Iwerks motion theater. The person I spotted had a jacket from Dollywood so I suspect he was with Gerstlauer. Jerry

TheRapidsNerd
Awesome photos jerryd. Several of those are good desktop wallpapers. Still can't get over how much is crammed in there and how close everything is. Too early to request a Coasters in the Raw segment? Nickelodeon not withstanding, MOA and the new Nick resort with the built in water park that's being built (I forget where) are on the to do list. Looty
I heard that Franz Maier was actually at the site within the last week so maybe it was him you saw? Also, those few electrical boxes in the bottom of the picture on the SB webcam - that used to be where the electrical room was for the MMR (those units were for MMR). kraken613
Thats why I wondered if he had a picture because I saw what he looked like in pictures of Mystery Mine construction. Maybe if he is there they will build tonight?
jerryd
I found a interview with Franz on the Mystery Mine site, very good possibility that it was him. I did not have my camera with me at the time. If you want the real high res pictures for use as wallpaper PM me and I will send you the full size file. steel
Anyone remember that MMR show a long time ago that was the ultra-intense roller coaster? I think it was called "Rumbler" or "Rattler" or something to that effect.
kraken613
They are working! Workers!
Looty
^^Are you thinking of Red Rock Run?...it was a runaway mine cart with lava and rocks and such.
kraken613
They did quite a bit of work. More track up!
Vffreak07
Wow! You all know what that means. . . They'll either work backwords into the zero-g or they'll work forwards into the brake run/vertical turnaround thingy/horseshoe?
steel
^^^No, I remember that one. It was longer ago than that, I think. I was probably really young. It was definitely an actual wooden coaster, not a mine cart.
The Patchman
Wow they are moving fast! Looks like it will be a small coaster that packs a punch.

kraken613
Im excited to see the lift be built! I think they will take it in sections so its easier to build like theve done one side of it.
TheRapidsNerd
Looks like webcam troubles tonight. It's been 10 after 6 for over 4 hours. The inter-dimensional cross-rip from Carousel of Progress is spreading...
kraken613
The Spongebob and Avatar cameras arnt working. The overview is though.
TheRapidsNerd
Almost 7 am here, and Spongebob and Avatar cams still down. The overview showed the atrium a bit darker than usual. Maybe there was some kind of power halt to the circuit the computers running the webcams were on. In the words of Phillup J. Fry, "Fix it! Fix it! Fix it! Fix it! Fix it! Fix it!..." coastercrazed49
Wow after a week of no internet its amazing how much has been built. I can't wait to see how the final product fits in that small space.

Adrenaline_Rush
If this half circle turns into a full circle I wonder if there going to build a SLIME fountain like the one in Universal. I remember it being totally awesome! And it erupted every 15 minutes.
