Airtime&Gravity Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Well after a long hiatus, I got around to going back to SFGAM. After visiting that sad excuse for a park known as DL, I though a visit to a good park was deserved. Crowds were high, but it wasn't uncomfortable, and it was a really enjoyable day. The staff was great, and the lines moved fast and efficiently. However, Viper seemed rougher than usual, but AE was running extremely well. Since there are over 100 photos, this will span multiple posts, but feel free to comment after this post. Another ride I don't like Deja vu lives! It's moving I'm waiting for you Robb Why can I only go 30ft into the air? One ride I will never get on Nice family ride If you wanted to know what the bottom of an invert looks like, here you go Is this sign new? Crap, I'm back in NYC Big Easy balloons was really popular today Little additions like this make GAM a great park Condor More S:UF Pretzel Loop Condor's sign It's one of SFGAM's best rides So many expressions King Chaos Sky Treck Tower is actually open?! More B:TR SFGAM's worst ride I wonder if Elissa like this ride This part of V2 still scares me Batman, almost hidden, through the trees For you track with no train enthusiasts, here you go Corkscrew Vertical loop photo 2 B:TR dives down Random buildings V2 over the trees...again The area around V2 is nicer than most rides at SFMM V2 over the trees massive kick to the head ow ow ow rattle rattle rattle Two words that bring pain to all who hear them Revolution still going strong never mind Hey Dan, you don't get wet on this... Hey Derek This gets Deja vu's train really high, really fast Nope Wonder if Deja vu is open... Poor innocent riders Triple Play is a classic Welcome to SFGAM

Stop following me Still easy That was too easy Gotch ya! Is it just me, or does she look in love in this photo? How did she find our clearly visible hideout? That's it, I'm out of here I'm so evil. Airtime&Gravity Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 Even more photos: Tilted photo Thanks for looking, and please comment. ...and you don't need a trash can for every 5 guests You can have them in parks besides using them for coasters. Hey CF, these are trees See, few newer ones have that detail It has a classic look to it I think SFGAM has one of the best newer carousels. Here is S:UF, which is the worst major coaster at the park. S:UF and Condor through...yes...through the trees. Extreme close up Why couldn't they put a good spinner in? I really like the classic signs East River Crawler, and that's all I'll say. V2...what, I can't think of anything else for it. What, it's station is...nice. Is that good for you? TPR exclusive...for now Signature shot Nerdy coaster shot, and yes it controls the air brakes on Demon. AE was awesome today Well, of course she lives. The show was decent, and hopefully similar ones open up at other parks. Well at least if I die, your going with me. I hate having acrophobia. No, I don't like you, and how do you keep escaping?! You are truly evil I shouldn't have made that Cubs joke. Nope, she escaped Is this the end for Spy Girl? Haven't you learned what will happen from your friends? She's right, you are pathetic. A rocket?! That is so typical. Who missed me?
WildStangAlex Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Cool TR. I was at the park last Thursday. At first I wondered why GD was shut down. Upon checking online when I got home, it all suddenly made sense. I love SFGAm. No Hurrican Harbor pics? By the way, did you check out Show Stoppin'? It really kicked major butt!
bulldogmom Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Nice pics, especially the close-ups. That Crawling thing- spinny ride whatever- looked pretty neat- sort of like a modified Octopus. Whatever that show was, it sure looked weird.
MrMorgan Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Ok, is there some new trend I didn't hear about? If you check out this pic, you can clearly see the guy in the first row grabbing the titty of the girl next to him. Look!
MrMorgan Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 And check out the guy in the 4th row, (in the white shirt with dark stripes). He's doing it too!!! What's that all about?
almightyfire Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I never understood the logic of having 2 of the same types of coasters in a park. V2 and Deja Vu.
WildStangAlex Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 To me they are VERY different rides. I mean that is kind of like saying why would King's Island have two launched coasters, Flight of Fear and Italian Job. V2 is based on Impulse, Deja Vu has a much more drawn out beginning, and is based mainly on inversions. I mean you can also look at Elitch Gardens, they have Boomerang and Half Pipe.
bossman Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Yay Pink Power Ranger and her foes great shots and i would love to go on the hyper coaster awsome all together dunk
EagleFan344 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I never understood the logic of having 2 of the same types of coasters in a park. V2 and Deja Vu. They are completely different rides... However this park did have 2 arrow loopers before Shockwave was removed...
Cameron Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I am in agreement that the two are very different rides; however most people never even see Deja Vu run, so it's a moot point. Cameron.
Danhockey04 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Cool TR. I was at the park last Thursday. At first I wondered why GD was shut down. Upon checking online when I got home, it all suddenly made sense. I love SFGAm. No Hurrican Harbor pics? By the way, did you check out Show Stoppin'? It really kicked major butt! I was there last Thursday as well, and GD was open all day that we were there, we left around 3:00pm. It wasn't shut down Friday and is closed indefinitely as well as all other Intamin 2nd gen. drop towers.
vedved82491 Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I never understood the logic of having 2 of the same types of coasters in a park. V2 and Deja Vu. I was thinking something VERY similar to that. Yes, they are very different coasters, but to me, it seems that a park [a major park] has either an Impulse, or a Giant Inverted Boomerang. Both coasters represent a similar layout and design concept. forward, then back. I also thought "how odd" when I realized both Deja Vu and V2 were in the same park... and look, the both have a "V" in their names!
