  1. According to the meeting this morning, all that was said is that SWO is still owned by InBev. So, nothing there was said about this topic other than that, so take it for what's its worth.
  2. I did not go to the meeting today, was thinking about it, but waiting to hear back from people that did. They did make a big deal about the meeting on the employee home page, so maybe it had to do with this.
  3. I rode it today, it opened at 10:40, which was I expecting to open late. Only had 2 trains running, same as last night (which I was on the stairs, waited 25 minutes to get there, before they closed for the night due to technical difficulties). I was actually disappointed with this ride, yes the non-inverting loop and treble clef were cool, but it was element to block to element to block. This ride had no flow in it whatsoever, hoping I just had a bad ride on it. The end was the most intense part though. Overall, I gave it a 7/10, but it got rounded up from 6.5. The music is just a gimmick, it basically takes your thought off the ride flow to the music. Mummy is the better coaster in the studios. On record, I did Eminem, Lose Yourself as my song.
  4. I rode Avalanche around 90 times in one day, SUF at SFGAm 55 times in one day, Demon at SFGAm about 70 times in one day (wasn't too bad with headaches either ) and BTR at SFGAm 31 times in one day. Forgot Space Mountain (WDW), 22 times in one day (walk-on), thanks to MNSSHP.
  5. We got to DHS at 8:45 ready to ride Toy Story Mania, got a fastpass then rode so we could do it twice and leave. So we got in and saw Mr. Potato Head, very amazing AA, though only saw him for 5 minutes. Now to the ride, this thing is sweet. First, the ride is very different from Buzz, as it tells you what the point values for each target is and the games are gimmicky but a lot of fun. It is much easier to tell what you are shooting at as there are two people per screen and different colors. The end is the best with rapid fire, shot as fast as you can, which is ridiculous as it hurts your arm really bad when doing this. Pictures were taking over a few days. Entrance of the ride Now queue line pictures, which was very well done. Hidden Mickey There is much more to see in the queue line than just that, I wasn't able to take pictures of everything with my cell phone camera. Not many on-ride photos, only have the practice round picture and the scores I got. And that's all I will share, this is a must ride attraction, but the line will get insanely long very quick. Also, Fastpass did run out everyday around 11:30am to 12:00pm, and the line is usually around 90-110 minutes at that time. This is something that you should do bright and early as the first otherwise, you will be waiting a long time. Another thing is that you will not be able to see Mr. Potato Head from the fastpass/single riders line, which they will close single riders line if the long gets too long as fastpass and single riders share the same entrance. Scoring high in this game is rather difficult as you need to look around to find the higher point values and find the secrets to make the higher point values appear. Took me 7 times to figure out what to do before I got those higher scores. Thanks for stopping in.
  6. First, no I am not a ride operator, I just knew when to go and never waited in a line greater than 40 minutes. Second, it is much quicker to de-construct a ride than it is to put it up. It is very possible to get that thing out of the park in 3 weeks. The buyers pay for the removal and shipment as well, so the park can careless how long it takes, but the buyers want it asap.
  7. Well, I have gotten to know the ride very well with riding over 300 times in four years. The ride was sold to some company overseas, from what I heard, and they are there today to get it. The ride will be dismantled and shipped within the next few weeks. It should be all gone by the beginning of December. As of now, there is nothing planned for the space for 2008. It will basically be a frolic field. Vu held its last public ride on October 28th just after 9:45pm. It was filled with enthusiasts and we managed row 1B for its final public appearance before the ACE event. Then the ACE final rides began afterwards with 3 trains in total being sent. We managed the last two rides in row 3B, in what I would like to have called my seat as that is probably the seat I have ridden over 70 times. The final ride of Vu for the ACE event occurred right at 10:00pm and was said to have been run in manual mode with the full time there catching the train themselves, and successfully so. The park will look rather bland now since they just lost the green and blue lawn ornament that would just sit there for days upon days trying to work correctly. They finally got the ride working to its full potential this year with very minimal downtimes when it had the staffing to open. To that, enjoy your new life at a new park and hope they have the treatment they gave you at SFGAm.
  8. I was there as well and I have a few photos. The ride was just great and much better than before. Madam Leota was rather hard to get a good picture to get all the effects and not get the wires in it. Also, the staircase scene is darker than in the picture.
  9. Mario Strikers online play #: 154725 515599
  10. Nice pictures, certainly shows off some of the beauty of SFGAm.
  11. I was there last Thursday as well, and GD was open all day that we were there, we left around 3:00pm. It wasn't shut down Friday and is closed indefinitely as well as all other Intamin 2nd gen. drop towers.
  12. This is really bad. Horrible for SF and for all parks across the country. I can see all SF drop towers being closed for further inspection. Also, you can't forget that Intamin will get hit too with lawsuits on this incident. But most importantly, I hope the doctors can do their best and help this poor girl get better and continue to have a normal life.
  13. I don't want the beads anymore, they just broke somehow. So you can have them back. Dude you gots to go again on HH opening weekend
  14. There are lots of smaller parks that have one or two smaller coasters in the area of Chicago, some have indoor coasters and some have outdoor coasters. Personally, I wouldn't exactly want to ride the El for fun since it is currently under construction for like a long time now, the subway is closed and trains being delayed, not fun. Of all the museums in Chicago, I like the Shedd, the Planetarium, and Science and Industry the best, probably most for the kids to enjoy too. The IKEA, I have never been there, but it right near the Woodfield mall, which is a rather large mall and lots of stuff around there too. When I traveled to IB, it took me about 3 hours to get there from my house in the subarbs, which if you try to avoid I-94 (Dan Ryan) and take side-streets, it'd be much quicker, unless traveling really early or really late. Also, in Chicago, you could always visit Navy Pier, that's free, but the shops and restaurants are somewhat pricey, the Children's Museum is in Navy Pier too. They have an IMAX theater also inside it, but it's like $12 a person to see a film.
  15. The park wasnt crowded, but it had good crowds for this private event. All rides were open basically, except Vu, Eagle Red, Sky Trek Tower and water rides.
  16. Ok, so we arrived at the park at 5:15 with there already being about 12 cars there. They open the gates and we enter the parking lot. We are greeted with new signs as soon as we exit the car. (All these pictures were taken on my camera phone, 1.3 megapixels, which may explain for decent quality) Pulling up to SFGAm Tickets to get into the park Finally inside the park again, the carousel. The new garbage cans. A new mister thing. Another misty thing. Let's ride it! We get to our first ride.... It is rather rough for Bull Cycling the red train empty. Then we rode Viper, it was an amazing ride, probably the best ride of the day. Eagle's new entrance, crazy queue. Now some Wiggle World! Eagle's new queue area thing. It's very long and annoying, but RERIDES now (set up for it without exiting and re-entering)! Then we rode this since AEB broke right as we got up there, so we left. Just a random shot. Then got on this awesome ride! The queue line, boy was it long.... Then we something strange in the window.... It's That Guy! Then got on this ride, just to ride it. The awesome garbage can shot. New posters! Cool shot with the sun reflections We then rode Demon and Whizzer, which then it came time for the Kickoff Party. All these next pictures are from that party. It was also inside the Spy Girl Stuntshow ampitheater Hank Salemi, the GM of the park (kinda blurry). New show, Spirit of America. It is rather good, I like the story of it. And the Wiggles had a segment from their show too That's it, two hours of ride time, rode plenty of stuff. TOTAL RIDES GD-1 Bull-1 Viper-1 SUF-1 BTR-1 Wolf-1 Demon-1 Whizzer-1
  17. I believe it is Miner Mike at this small place called Haunted Trails in Burbank, IL.
  18. Deja Vu is a great ride when it is open. I have ridden it many many times and still, for some odd reason, like it. I have ridden it over 230 times since it has opened, I've had 1 miscatch, on my latest ride, 1 retraction on tower 1 (where it gets stuck on the tower) and been stuck on it over 10 times. This ride just gives you that adreline rush you are always craving.
  19. I just couldn't figure out how to make the E, it was confusing. It was a lot of fun though. Just so you know Colin, since the Tornado didn't open for media day, the Tornado was good.
  20. Mean Streak, that thing is just mean. I rode it once, but never again.
  21. I think that the out, top hat, and back coasters are not too thrilling, though they do pack in a great rush, I prefer the rocket coaster more like Storm Runner.
