Hhappy Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 This year Walibi changed it's Season pass. It includes (this year) visits to Hellendoorn and Dolfinarium. It's been a long time since my last visit to Hellendoorn, so today it was time for another try. The weather forecast was bad for today.. so i planned to get there early. Just in case.... Yes i made it this morning Rioolrat even goes outside for a brief moment.. Play area for the kid and a house.. Even the exit is themed... How much courage do you need to get onboard? Entrance theming seen from below Last coaster of the park.. Rioolrat. Here's the exit for all the "chickens" Looking at these arms the future looks bright View from the ride with a bunch of coaster "lovers" onboard Next up the kiddie called "Donderstenen". Just look at this kids face I hope they clean this one someday... Loop shot against the sun with a tree and lifthill... More happy faces.. and yes.. it's a Vekoma (and this one is not too bad for your ears) It even has a loop... First up.. Tornado. Just look at all those happy faces...
Hhappy Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 part 2. This is indeed a family park. Not big and lot's and lot's of small things in a small area.. The sun, kids and water.. it's always fun Food time spinning thing. this used to be an open field the last time i was here.. small boat splash This was (as far as i could see) the ride with the biggest wet factor Wild waterval ( i guess you call it a logflume?) and it's clean water And plenty of water With flowers It's just a little family park I'm just glad he doesn't sit on me. Boat ride Here they are building the "new" stunt show which will start in 2 weeks You might even get wet in this one. Sometimes it's better to have some kind of theming instead of none
AlmereStars Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 haven't been there in a while, looks improved they did a lot of things with the theming, Rioolrat wasn't exactly themed when I got there they only had a few real rats along the watingarea. it's a fun place to be, but it isn't that big Tornado was my first loop though!
thefitness Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Looks like a fun little park. That stunt show stage looks really out of place. The rest of the park looks nice though. Cool TR!
kennywood!007 Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Looks like a awesome little park. Very nice photos!
Nrthwnd Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Thanks for the report. Am curious - what did you have there on your fries? It looks like mayonnaise... but you never know, hmm? The whole park looks really nice with all the landscaping in and around all the rides.
Gav Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 ^Most likely, Mayonnaise is a popular condiment to have with fries in the Netherlands.
DarkStitch626 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Great Photo's but in the name of Robb Alvey I must say something about that corkscrew's lift hill. "Weerrrrr Weeeerr Weeerrrr KERCHUNK!"
verticalzero Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Lovely photo's, show off how good the rides n gardens are kept. how far is it from Walibi World..? What type of coaster is "Rioolrat"..?
Homer Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 http://www.rcdb.com/ig904.htm?picture=2 -Custom made Vekoma Junior coaster. Wow, surprised at how decently themed and landscaped this park is. Great TR, and Rioolrat looks like an awesome family coaster.
EmBy Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Nice TR there, great to see a park I haven't heard of before. Very impressed from those photos, lovely theming too. That train is so funny with the big rock on the front:-
