Jayjay719
Well I will now attempt my very first photo trip report. Me and two of my friends decided to go to Rye Playland a week before we hit up Six Flags New England. First things first...we had breakfast at Duchess and then we were off. We left Norwalk CT at about 11 and got to the park around 11:20. I live 15 mintues from the park btw. The park wasn't that busy when we were there. The only closed ride was Catch A Wave. Ok since I know people don't read this part, onto the pics. Layout of the Dragon Coaster. Still pretty smooth. We didn't ride the Power Surge this time. Yeah...no more rides on that. From the Big Wheel... Kiddyland! One of three Derby Racers left. This one is the fastest. This ride is blah. Lots of headbanging. Sorry Derek, no vertical loops today. Next up was Ye Old Mill. Sally redid this ride. I love this ride and It's a nice relaxing dark ride. Though some of the water effects don't work anymore. We needed a little rest so we sat for a few mintues. Notice my new TPR shirt. Lindsey forgot to wear hers....I WIN. I love the Dragon Coaster's tunnel. Usually it has mist as you enter the tunnel...not today. We decided to do the paddle boats. We were the only ones that were out there to, seriously...don't believe me? Take a look.... Here is our whip for the trip! Hey that rhymed! coastercrazed49
Nice First Trip Report. I was going to go to that park a long time ago but never did. Looks nice though.
Jayjay719
Thanks. It's a nice little park. More Photos: I tried to get a Lift hill shot while on the Dragon, but I failed miserably at it. Chris is all "FEED ME." HI LINDSEY! Lindsey and I on the Dragon Coaster....well sorta. Lets do it! That sounds wrong... Double Shot...the parks drop tower. While it's not the tallest drop tower, you do get good airtime from the powerful luanch. The BIG Wheel..... A Kidtums approved ride! No amusement park visit would be complete without DDR! I couldn't play though because of my knee. Lindsey put it on easy....wimp. It's time to be credit whores. Horseshoe Orgy! They are getting more then me....hmmmm DUCKY! The beach. SIGNATURE SHOT! Lindsey and Chris are having fun...getting wet by the water. An Elissa friendly place! Thanks for reading guys.
CycloneMan
Nice photos! Believe it or not, I've lived in NYC my whole life, I've been to parks in 3 different countries (USA, Canada and Japan) and have never been to Rye Playland in my life! Jayjay719
You should hit up Rye Playland. It's a nice little park. It's no Great Advanture, but I still enjoy going to Playland a couple times a year. Thanks! Maybe I'll see you at Great Advanture sometime. Bubba Z
I've been to Rye twice this season and I'd say the dark rides and Bumper cars are worth the trip alone.

Axman
Why must they replace a defenseless Windstorm with a supposedly painful flying coaster?

CP_RULES
That "original Dragon Coaster car" looks a lot like the current Millennium Flyers... That's pretty weird, but cool! Nice TR, that park looks like a good little park.
