Ohio Parks

My family and I are planning to go to Ohio for Cedar Point and Kings Island (and possibly Geauga Lake) this summer and I was wondering which month would be better to go? The only times that are possible are early July and early August because that's when my parents have time off work. Last year I visited KI on a Sunday in August and the crowds were very minimal, so I am leaning towards August for this trip.

 

Which month do you think would be best?

They are both pretty bad, but August, I would say is the lesser crowded of the two.

I say don't go at all because you have a high chance of dying on a ride.

Late July and the first two weeks of August are the worst summer travel times I believe (meaning quite crowded). I'd go for July, but CP will be crowded whenever.

If you manage to get Geauga Lake in, either month would be fine. Just call ahead and check the website to make sure there's no special events (ie Cleveland Clinic day, which jams the park to no end.)

I'm going to CP, GL, & KI during the last week of August...Can anyone tell me what to expect, crowd wise?

The last week of august should be fine, as most (if not all) ohio schools start during the week of the 20th.

I'm planning on a CP/ Geauga Lake trip in early to mid July. We are planning on going two days at CP and probably getting a Twilight Ticket (from 5 till closing) at Geauga Lake.

CP and KI will be busy all summer.

GL will be dead all summer, with virtually no lines for anything.
