Adam_C Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Not a child in site! And I think Health and Safety might have something to say about the Water Chute now! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xQEhYv0KfE
IceDragon Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 heh... so old school... the water chute would be awesome! Still not liking the idea of a cramped virginia reel... poor doggy...
cobra_roll06 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Wow..how doggy does a virginia reel look! No wonder theres none left.....right?
coastercrazed49 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Thanks for sharing that video, I loved it. Even back then Blackpool Pleasure Beach stills looks pretty awesome!
niiicolaaah Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Wow, that is a cool video. I love seeing how things were "back in the day". Those River Caves boats in the video made me a little nervous because they tipped over so far!
Fisherman Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Wow...that Virginia Reel looked pretty dangerous! Cool! -Derek
CP_RULES Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Everyone seemed so happy back then, it's so nice.
Calvin Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Wow, the Virginia Reel looked like fun. Look how fast it takes that dip turn thing...
verticalzero Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 The 1920's - 1980's were the best time for parks before all the stupid "Health and safety" laws arrived. Why add "seatbelts" to Rollercoaster when it has been doing it's layout with no deaths for over 50 years. I sat across the seat when I went on this ride last time, great fun There is a Park in Linconshire which has a ride with "tubs" simular to the virginia reel. A Park needs to be brave and rebuild a "virginia reel".
krouvi Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Have you noticed most people are adults and no teens or kids ?

Fallen Heretic Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 People in the 1920s all seem to have a real hat fetish going on. lol.
