twisterbret Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 In your opinion (Derek/Nicole) which coaster is better, Apollo or Nitro? I know you said Derek and Nicole but opinions are like A__Holes, everyone has one
Peejay Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 El Toro looks awesome. I wonder if it could top my all-time favorite woodie Colossos at Heide Park. Very nice pictures. I hope I can make it to Great Adventure sometime in the near future.
WadeJ Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Nice TR Ironically, the Intamins were the ones having issues in the cold, not the B&M's. Although Toro appears to be two trains again now that it "warmed" up. Yup, you missed Chiller but maybe by some chance both sides will actually be running together next time lol
Jayjay719 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Awesome trip report Derek! I was at Great Advanture on Friday the 6th and had a great day despite Kindga Ka didn't open til 3 i think? El toro didn't open until 6:30, and the park closed at 9. But I still had a blast! Thanks for the pics, and keep drinking beer!
twisterbret Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 I meant to tell you guys Conner's is coaster count is up 3. 1 Wood (Camden Park wood coaster) 2 Steel (Fitlzer in Wildwood and Road Runner here) I had to wait till I was 4 years old for my credits. Lucky kid! He scored the wood coaster when he was 1. Conner's 3rd coaster credit
thrillrideseeker Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 WOW! Great TR! I love the Kingda Ka segement! I am not much of a fan of any of the other rides except nitro, but thats because those are the only to I was able to ride when I went I just had to ride Kingda Ka didn't I? LOL! Well any ways! Great TR! ~Matthew P.S. Tacos are nasty
thomas2 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 This officially proves Nicole has ALOT of hair Awesome TR. Those coasters look soo good!
redfoot12 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 ^^BRET!! That character (not Conner!) is scary! It was great to see you and the family again! That's just Henry the Octopus!
okinawaboy11 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Your SO lucky. I went last Wed and Thurs. Wednesday was raining, about 20 people in the park. It closed early. No El Toro, no Kinda Ka. Thursday it was cold and PACKED. El Toro valleyed in the twister section and Kinda Ka went through 20 tests and never made it over the top.
RCTfan Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Nice Photo TR. I really need to return to SFGAdv. I really enjoyed myself the day I went about 3 years ago I'd say. Nitro was amazing in my opinion. I definitely prefer it over Apollo's Chariot as well! Good readin! Oh, and I like Tacos too.
deguy123 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Great report! I can't wait to head there this year. Next year hopefully they will get some flats to replace all the one's that have left the park.
