Maybe it's just my browser settings, but the words seem very large...larger than they used to be. This makes the photos beside them look small in comparison to the table cell they are in (like, there is lots of room above and below each photo, between the faint gray lines). Again, it very well may be a setting in my browser, but smaller text would look better considering the size of the photos IMO. As for the way it's laid out, I think it looks fine.

EDIT: Maybe changing the background of the column with the photos to black would help with that? Would sort of make a top and bottom "frame" for each photo, and clearly set that column off from the rest of the page. Just a thought.

SECOND EDIT: Cool...I didn't know you could change the font size like that! haha I probably won't change it since it really looks fine larger. But y'know...since you were asking for input...

^ If you're using IE or Firefox hold down the CTRL key and move your mouse wheel up or down to change the font size. That should fix that.

I didn't change anything in the text or default browser settings so I'm assuming it's something you might have done by accident.

I've done this before too without realizing it.

It isn't affected in the forum because it's all PHP code whereas the front page is HTML.

See if that works!

Yeah, it's got to be your browser. You shouldn't be able to see the background of the photos table. Here's what it should look like in both IE and Firefox:

PS. Does it look like this for everyone else?

I will go with flow....

And Flo will go with.... ?

I jump usually to the Forums immediately, and then I back up to the main page, later.

Looks good, whatever you're doing with it.

How's that for fence-sitting, hmmm?

(Edit: This is Reply #35 in the thread. My current age and birthyear 'randomness', when it's reversed to 53.... Also my 35th anniversary in April! )

I agree with Nicole. The section headings should be more pronounced. Can you change the background color behind the Yellow Text?

Made the font bigger again. Does that help?

I like this, but I'd like to see new "Reviews/TPR's etc" on top, because that's where the sites all about

Can't really do that because the "annoucements" part will probably be the same for a few months at a time. It would look weird to have a section that was changing, then a section that was the same, then another section that was changing again....

Maybe I'll just work on the overhaul this weekend with the seperate columns....

That's better, but I honestly think it looks too "texty" right now. I think there should be more space between the sections.

How does it look on your screen? On mine there's a pretty good space between sections.

The challenge I have is that if there is too much space, then the daily updates may drop off the bottom of the page and people might not see the current updates.
