dandaman Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 It's too bad the most exciting stuff has already happened... the huge linebrawl on Long Island, and the melee following the big hit by Steve Downie on Dean McAmmond. I haven't been following with the Leafs pre-season, so if this has anything to do with them, I'm all ears.

dandaman Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Well, I found the "linebrawl" subject. Jazz hands!
Scaparri Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 ^I love the expressions on the faces of those in the crowd.
dandaman Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 You mean Cell Phone Lady thinking, "This looks so much cooler on my cell phone; it's like I'm actually there!" ?
Carnage Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 ^I love the expressions on the faces of those in the crowd. Nothing beats this classic though for "faces in the crowd" Some of these people are enjoying it too much.
trustkill22 Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 ^Nice! This season I'm probably going to follow Montreal as Carey Price seems to be there big impact player. Hopefully they can make the playoffs.
dandaman Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 ^^I love the fact that he's still wearing socks and a watch.
trustkill22 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I was just wondering if anyone saw Downies hit. All I can say is WOW.
Eric_Smith Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 ^Saw the story on it. Hope he gets a big penalty for this.
Carnage Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 ^^I love the fact that he's still wearing socks and a watch. It's even better when you realize he fell and knocked himself out spread eagle on his back. I don't understand streaking or rushing the ice in hockey. It can only end badly, you have no where to go. It's not like streaking in football where at least you can try and get away. I haven't seen the Downey hit yet either. From the sounds of it he should be in for a pretty big suspension. Though he'll be serving the suspension in the AHL.
carolinacaniac Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 What game was that at? that is just too funny! I would think that the guy would realize it is much harder to get over the plexie glass than it is a regualar wall. Can't help but love the perfect placement of the glass holders.
Eric_Smith Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Downey got 20 games. Serves him right.
Scaparri Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Yeah, not really a good way to start your NHL career. Deserves every one of those games. Props to the NHL for stepping up.
DallasAlvey Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Downey deserves the suspension. In other news the Kings (unforntetley to us Ducks fans) beat the Ducks 4 to 1 in that London thing.
dandaman Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Our local radio (Windsor) always praises Steve for being such a great player, just 'cause he's a former Spitfire. Conveniently, I haven't heard jack squat about him on said station since the incident. In other news, I'm pretty happy that the Leafs beat the Wings last night 6-4 in Toronto. Now if they can repeat the performance at the Joe tonight, they can finish the pre-season above .500.
dandaman Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 ^Crap. Was just about to check it. I think we only play the Wings in regular season on February 9th. Besides last year, I don't think they'd played each other in 3.
DallasAlvey Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Hey I'm going to start posting the days final scores. MTL 3 CAR 2 OT ANA 2 DET 3 SO OTT 4 TOR 3 OT DAL 3 COL 4
CoastersNSich Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 DAL 3 COL 4 I got back not too long ago from the Blue Jackets' home opener against the Ducks at Nationwide Arena. 4-0 shutout over Anaheim. So much for being the defending cup champs!
Scaparri Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 My Blues are off to a pretty good start. They are 5-2-0 right now, sitting second in the West-Central behind the Crap Wings, though they've also played to more games than us. I'm really hoping we get a playoff berth this year. I'm feeling it. Though if Minnesota keeps this up, they'll be the team to beat in the West. They are looking really strong. Hopefully I'll get to St. Louis for a game in the next few months.
carolinacaniac Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I am loving the Canes season so far! Just beat Buffalo yestarday 6-2 and now they are on top of the southeast with a 6-1-3 record. And they haven't really played anyone in the Southeast yet, other than the one loss to Washington. I am hoping to get to a game here before too long. LETS GO CANES!!!!!
Dorneypark_fan Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 The Flyers are doing awesome! Joffery Lupul, Daniel Briere are great new players.
Dailey Enterprizes Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 I wanted to bring this back, the Penguins have been playing very well these past few weeks. It's not just the 8-0 win record that they have now or Conklin's 9-0 performance as a goalie, but the whole team seems to be bringing extra to each game they face. I love hockey and I love the Pens.
AllenA07 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 It's another great year for the Kings, as we compete for a #1 draft pick.
