Homer Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 How do I beat Bowser? Which system should I buy? Anybody know what this mark on my leg is? Like Circuit City, you got questions, we got answers. If you need a helping hand with life or help with homework, ask a question here and hopefully the wisdom of a TPR member would have an answer to your question. NOTE: THIS IS NOT ASK ALVEY! DO NOT ASK ABOUT THEME PARK/ALVEY RELATED QUESTIONS HERE! This is NOT the Ask A Question/Get an Answer game. Also, like the forums here, keep it PG-13, we don't want it getting too hot in here like TPR Chat! So, to start off, I'll post something that I need wisdom on. Say this girl, let's call her Carrie, I have a crush on her. But, here is the problem. Carrie once in awhile talks to this one girl who is a total a-hole I call Amanda. Would Carrie really take her seriously or not, I was going to ask her out, but I ain't sure... anybody care to help with my juvenile problem?
GeorgiaDawg278 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Ummm... I'd ask her out. Just don't double date with her crabby friend .
Homer Posted March 15, 2007 Author Posted March 15, 2007 Ummm... I'd ask her out. Just don't double date with her crabby friend . Problem is dude, I don't know how to introduce myself to her. I doubt a simple 'Hi' would engage a conversation. And guys, no crappy pick up lines...
ParkTrips Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Tell her she was the subject of a thread on an internet site for roller coaster dorks. Girls love attention!!!
GeorgiaDawg278 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Ok, well, start up any old conversation. Do you guys have any common ground (afterschool activities, music, sports)? That's usually a good starter. Other than that, you're on your own.
Chrissie Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Awwwww!!! Don't worry about what that other girl might say. Id introduce myself by saying Hi or finding out about something you guys have in common and starting it that way. Good luck!! Let us all know what you do!
arrowfanman Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Tell her she was the subject of a thread on an internet site for roller coaster dorks. Girls love attention!!! I miss posts like these Joe! Homer, like I said in chat--just dont bring up Thrillville. Or how deep the water on Pirates of the Caribbean is! Not that I'm particularly speaking out of expirence or anything. As for me.....whats the easiest way to dispose of a body? -Jahan
Homer Posted March 15, 2007 Author Posted March 15, 2007 whats the easiest way to dispose of a body? Burn it or ground it up into chili.
rbpia Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 As for me.....whats the easiest way to dispose of a body? I think Robb has the best idea, invite people from all over the country to your place for a party. Make sure the sauce is hot enough that noone will notice the strange texture of the "chicken". I told him to spell check his post! He just wouldn't listen.
woah_killa Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Be really cool towards whoever you like...that's how people like me! OK, I have a really weird question that I touched on in the rant thread. So, one of my best friends has started going out with my sister so now I can barely hang out with either one of them without the other being there making it all awkward for me. I'm starting to freak out about it because sure they're having a good time, but it's ruining my relationship with them. What should I do?
mcjaco Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 ^ You're screwed. Wait til that blows up in both their faces. They'll both bitch at you about the other. I don't envy you!
Dailey Enterprizes Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Say this girl, let's call her Carrie, I have a crush on her. But, here is the problem. Carrie once in awhile talks to this one girl who is a total a-hole I call Amanda. Would Carrie really take her seriously or not, I was going to ask her out, but I ain't sure... anybody care to help with my juvenile problem? I had this problem a million times where a girl I liked was in a network of people where news (gossip) would dominate. Anyway the biggest piece of advice that I can give you is don't fret about it. No matter what happens it will all come down to saying hi to the girl. Just say what comes natural and don't worry. Trust me, I was in your shoes for the longest time and I've just recently matured to where I am now and I' m in college! Don't be like me, enjoy your adolesence.
CommanderLock Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 My space bar is held down due to crumbs and dust. TWICE my mom has vaccumed the keyboard without removing the keys themselves. Need help.
bulldogmom Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 ^ There's probably another solution, but if it was me, being lazy, I'd just buy a new keyboard- they're like what, $10? Maybe consider getting one of those plastic covers to put over it when it's not in use so it doesn't collect dust.
Blazen_AZN Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Problem is dude, I don't know how to introduce myself to her. I doubt a simple 'Hi' would engage a conversation. And guys, no crappy pick up lines... Does she have a MySpace? Myspace is the place to start conversation with sombody. You can read over everything you say before you say it, and its not nearly as awkward. Also, if you *DO* screw up, you can always play the "OMG, my friend got my password!" game.
GMAN962 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 OK, I have a really weird question that I touched on in the rant thread. So, one of my best friends has started going out with my sister so now I can barely hang out with either one of them without the other being there making it all awkward for me. I'm starting to freak out about it because sure they're having a good time, but it's ruining my relationship with them. What should I do?Well...here's what I have to say about that... They're probably not going to be going out forever. Just wait it out, then start hanging out like you used to, again. Easy as pie! There is a kid in my school that hangs out with us because he's another person's friend. He won't leave me alone, because he keeps calling me a gangster. (Jokingly) He's telling all of these people that I'm a gangster. (I don't know if they know that he's joking.) He's getting really annoying, and it's not funny anymore. All I say to him now is "Get a life", but he still isn't stopping. Any advice? No, do not use my screenname to call me a gangster. It was based on a character from the popular game "Half-Life". Thanks! -Mike
terrancew_hod Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 The truth usually works. Just tell him "Look, I totally being serious with you now. I don't like it when you call me a ganster, so please stop or you can't hang with me anymore." If he does it again, tell him to go away and mean it. If he doesn't leave then you say "Well then I'm leaving. I don't hang with inconsiderate a*..." and punch it. Leave him standing there looking stupid. He'll stop. Although it's best when someone calls you something you don't like, nip it in the bud right then and there. It gets harder if you let them get away with it for days or weeks; saying nothing is like giving approval for them to say it.
