timetrial3141592 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I was bored recently, so I fired up the RCT2 conversion of Dynamite Dunes and just built. It got out of hand. Adding coasters became a challenge, but I did it. I will post screenshots, a download, and the starter scenario. I dare you to make something more twisted. Dynamite Dunes.zip The scenario. Dynamite Dunes.zip The download. Another overview. One overview. The center of the park. I systematically replaced Dynamite Blaster with an identical hyper.
EuroTre Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 That was crazy I never thought I'd see lag on RCT2, but you have proven me wrong.
CoasterNut17 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Holy Crap I get frusturated when I can't fit one coaster in where I want and it's challenging on top of that! Great job! And, did I mention WOW!!!!
xascher Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Wow, but that park probably has ALL of my RCT pet peeves. Uneven lifts, akward drops. Which would probably explain why I can't cram costers into a park like you
chmilo24 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 You have a gift of cramming coasters into small areas. You must use it to allow parks around the world to have more rides.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Wow, but that park probably has ALL of my RCT pet peeves. Uneven lifts, awkward drops. Which would probably explain why I can't cram coasters into a park like you Same here, if it isn't straightforward & conventional, it gets scrapped.
BrownStreak Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Did you max out your rides? I've downloaded RCT2 parks over the years where you can't add anything because you can only have like 250 rides/shops or something like that. I have tried building from scratch to hit this mark but I never have...I have run out of staff however! Anyone recently added the max number of rides?
kennywood!007 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 You must get bored a lot then. Cause all your parks seemed jammed.
timetrial3141592 Posted March 15, 2007 Author Posted March 15, 2007 Actually, most of my parks are 256x256. This park is an excercise in making BPB look like an open field.
timetrial3141592 Posted March 18, 2007 Author Posted March 18, 2007 Yesterday, I was sitting around, and thought, "Something's missing." And sure enough, something was. Dynamite Dunes needed a launched coaster. So I added one. Oh yeah, I also got a huge package from Penny Press.
coasterdude5 Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Why? I mean, it was cool the first time, but how about working on some theming... and spacing.
timetrial3141592 Posted March 18, 2007 Author Posted March 18, 2007 By spacing, do you mean "each coaster stays tidily in its area"? If so, then I will have no truck with it. The purpose of this park is to prove that I can weave coasters better than almost anyone.
coasterdude5 Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 No, I have coasters that pass over other coasters, I'm just saying how about you space some of them and focus on other aspects other than building as many coasters you can.
GeorgiaDawg278 Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 No, I have coasters that pass over other coasters, I'm just saying how about you space some of them and focus on other aspects other than building as many coasters you can. Umm, I think he was just having fun with this park by interlocking an insane amount of coasters, not trying to make it look good or even close to real.
coasterdude5 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 ^^ I understand that, but almost every one of his parks is like this. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just offering an opinion.
kennywood!007 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 ^Like I said earlier, all his parks are like this. Coasterdude5 was just trying to say, try a different style park, space things out, try to aim for realisticness. Nothing to fight about...
BiCoastal Kid Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Just because I can. 5 coasters, 1 hour, total awesomeness? 3/5 have Very High excitement, 4/5 have higher excitement than intensity.
thrillrideseeker Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 WOW! That is a lot of rides in that little area. I dont see how you can do it. I would have gone crazy trying to put them all in there. Good job! ~Matthew
BiCoastal Kid Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Actually, I added two more and some trees, so it looks like this now. http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/8066/scr59of0.png
