Warlord694 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I saw this on Amazing Race a couple of years ago when they were in New Zealand and have been wanting to do this. It is coming to Pigeon Forge this year. http://www.zorb.com/smoky/index.html The "tracks?" they are building look wild.
DenDen Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Before there was an actual name for these things, I've ridden in one of these bubbles. They are fun. Doesn't look like those zig-zag tracks will hold them, but you really cant tell the size from the photos.
ConleyKE Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Awesome! I think something like this was on some comercial for brandband or Capitol One or something like that a while back. Definitly will have to check these out next time in the Smokeys!
crazyrider06 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Awesome, that is totally something that i would like to do in the near future. ill probably feel like bubble boy in it though lol
jedimaster1227 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 My brother did Zorbing in New Zealand when he was 14. He had such a fun time that he instisted that we pay to do it when he and I go to there in the Summer of 2009.
Ccron10 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I've been always wondering why they don't build a coaster using zorbs as the cars? The track could be the same as a gigantic bobsled coaster run. It could work.
RCTfan Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Ever since I saw it on the Amazing Race I've wanted to do it. I think I've seen it on Celebrity Fit Club or something like it. If and when I go to Dollywood, I'll have to make a pitstop there as well!

spaceace12 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 these things look like so much fun. I would like to do it both ways, dry and wet.

If we are planning this far in advance, I don't think that this would be a problem, but let me talk with my brother about it first. It would be extremely cool to meet my first you in person though! My brother actually has a family that he stayed with when he was in New Zealand for two weeks, so getting to meet you along with them would make our trip even better. We have been planning this trip since I was in the 6th grade as a way to celebrate me being out of high school and him being out of college.
pete4winds Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Wasn't this already posted almost a year ago? Why, yes. Yes it was: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24628&highlight=zorb
okinawaboy11 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Uhm, what exactly is a Zorb? Lol sorry for being behind.
bgwfreak Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 ^ See the link in the post above yours. You get in a big ball and roll down a hill or "track". It's coming to Pigeon Forge, TN near Dollywood somewhere. I'm going to be crazy and try it at least once although I'm worried it might make me sick.
coasterdude5 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Looks crazy, too crazy for me, I'd probably get a lasting headache - not something I want on vacation.
odene497 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 That's good news! I've always wanted to try zorbing and I might be going to Dollywood this summer so I'll definetely look into it. About how much does it cost?
