??? Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 ^ THE PARK IS STILL OWNED COMPLETELY BY HERSHEY - ONLY A NEW GROUP OF PEOPLE ARE IN CHARGE OF OVERSEEING THE PARK. THE WERE HIRED BY HERSHEY Oki doki! When can we see year 24?
coasterdude5 Posted May 25, 2007 Author Posted May 25, 2007 Update Year 24 Announcement  Hey, long time no see, it's been a few months.  NEW FOR YEAR 24: TANGO & MOREHERSHEY HAWAII - The resort announced plans today for a three-ride addition to Hershey's Hawaiian Escape at the Hershey Hawaii Resort:  TANGO One of the wildest rides in the universe, Tango will tempt guest's willingness to take on the thrill as they are spun, flipped upside down, and more. The ride rolls as it turns and rises, and flips, creating a one-of-a-kind experience. Only at Hershey Hawaii.  SHIPWRECK A more tame attraction, Shipwreck rises to the might seas, bringing guests along with it. Families can board the large boat and prepare for the wild voyage. Only at Hershey Hawaii.  ROCK SLIDE How fast can you go on these wild racing-style slides. Challenge the whole family to race down the two story sliding contraption.  All new. Only at Hershey Hawaii.  Looks like the queue is still under construction.  By the length of the line, they must anticipate it to be popular.  Pass.  Why does it have to spin?  From here it looks like an evil ferris wheel.  This thing goes every direction imaginable.  My bet - someone's gonna get sick...  That's just a guess though.  I grabbed a shot of the two other rides. I'll have more on them tomorrow.
??? Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Cool! I wonder what the park will have in store for the 25th anniversary! Wait, has something happened to Hurtle De Shambi yet?
coasterdude5 Posted May 26, 2007 Author Posted May 26, 2007 ^ No, it's still there. Â Update Year 24 Â Alright, here's the other two new rides. Â The park is always empty over here. Â Kaena Point Falls sorta ruins all the shots in this area. Â Shipwreck is pretty small. Â So is Rock Slide... Â I've heard great reviews from Tango. More soon.
??? Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 You are so right,Kaena Point Falls kinda comes in every picture with the hole zone, that ride disturbs me,it was kinda dumb to build a new splash ride with the exactly same layout, the only thing new i know is the trains! Â Good that Hurtle De Shambi hasn`t leaved!
brandon Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 this may be out of the question but would still be cool if you made a bobsled coaster, maybe have it so around the volcano or something
coastercrazed49 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Looks nice. I still say you should add a water park like next to the hotel, make it volcano themed. Just a thought.
coasterdude5 Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 Update Year 24 Â I really like this ride. Â I'm not sure why, either. Â TGI Friday's looks like it's about to be killed by coasters. Â Oronga - the biggest coaster around. Â I can see someone suing the park because they got on the wrong ride. Â Eat good food here. Â Turbulence has been doing alright lately. I forget about it alot. Â More soon.
coasterdude5 Posted May 28, 2007 Author Posted May 28, 2007 ^ Good.  I just realized I'm leaving for vacation on the 11th, so I've gotta start posting updates twice a day. (this park goes on hiatus on the 15th)  Update Year 25 Announcement  4 Rides Closed This SeasonHERSHEY HAWAII - It seems the new board is making changes at the park this season.  Hurtle de Zhambi, Turbulence, JRancher, and Hershey's Kissing Tower will all be closed for the Year 25 season.  Turbulence is reportedly moving to its sisterpark, Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Hurtle de Zhambi is up on the auction block. A new owner has not been found as of yet.  Board member Joe Ward would not comment on the announcement of these closures.  Nothing was said about JRancher and Hershey's Kissing Tower other than they would be closed for the year 25 season.  What morons did they put in control of this park?  One of the last rides on Hurtle...  This is crazy.  At least we know this ride will live again.  Whoa whoa whoa.... stop the show.  Could that be? More soon.
Disney Dood Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Mine Mountain lives again! Â Where will JRancher go? It's so new!
Kingbooba Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 MINE MOUNTAIN! YAHOO! Â Hurtle de Zhambi... You will be missed!
texasgiantrules Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 well i mean if 2 coasters had to go...i just hope JRancher will open again and i hope the Kissing Tower stays.
??? Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 OMG! How can they close majestic rides like Hurtle De Shambi,Turbulence,JRancher & Kissing tower? Â But... Is Mine Mountain returning? HALLELULJA!
Steffen_Dk Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 I did not see Turbulence was about to close It was pretty surprising!!! And a new coaster!! Exciting!
niiicolaaah Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 I love this park, it makes me REALLY want RCT3! Â But I've heard that RCT3 runs really slow on some computers. Does it cause you problems? What kind of computer/operating system are you using?
coastercrazed49 Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 They got rid of two awesome coasters? Bull**** Â Â Other then that I'm glad to see mine mountain coming back!
coasterdude5 Posted May 28, 2007 Author Posted May 28, 2007 I love this park, it makes me REALLY want RCT3! But I've heard that RCT3 runs really slow on some computers. Does it cause you problems? What kind of computer/operating system are you using?  It does cause a good amount of lag, but there are a number of tweaks you can make that will improve game performance.  I have a Dell Dimension 4500 with 768 mb. of RAM and a Geforce 512 mb. graphics card. (Both of those I had to add in).  If all else fails just pause the game and work, that should fix alot.
coasterdude5 Posted May 28, 2007 Author Posted May 28, 2007 Update Year 25 Â The destruction continues... Â Is there a silver lining? Â Is that Mine Mountain track? Â JRancher deconstruction... Â It was only here for three years! Â These new board members are whacked up. Â You will be missed... Â More soon...
thefitness Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 I hope all these great rides will be replaced with something even better! To be honest I'm not sad at all to see Turbulence go. Â R.I.P. JRancher.
brandon Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 poor turbulence, i always liked that ride, but yay for mine mountain!!!
