Six Flags 2007 Season Passes

Recommended Posts

My wife and I got them online today. They were advertised as 54.99 but they charged us 44.99 each for what were labelled "Outer Market Season Passes". I noticed that it was the higher price to RENEW one from last year!! Can anyone explain this? It kind of seems a little too cheap to be true - it's cheaper than a one-day admission!! And why the hell is it more expensive for renewals!?!?

If anyone's interested, I think I figured it out. I got a 10 dollar discount for living outside the immediate area of SFSTL. And I live in St. Louis CITY!! They ask you for your zip code before you purchase online. I tried a zip code closer to the park, and it was 10 dollars higher!! I only live 30 min. away!

The lesson here is: if anyone who lives more than a half hour away from SFSTL is gonna be in this area, order a pass online now and pay 45 bucks, then come to the park and get your pass!

I just bought two online that I'm going to activate at SFMM in a few weeks. They were only $60 each. I think this is silly. They need to raise the price. Cedar Fair Maxx Passes are $125, and Six Flags has more parks. Six Flags should adopt Cedar Fair style pricing, offering both home park only and chain wide passes. And the home park only passes should be $80.

I think giving a free kiddie pass with an adult pass is a great idea, but the adult passes should cost more. How do you chase away rowdy teens by offering your passes so cheaply.

That's an incredible value, of course. But, do you really think Six Flags can turn the company around by giving away the gate? Cheap season passes just makes the problem of babysitting rowdy teens worse. They've cheapened their brand image, and this is no way to fix it. The season pass pricing structure makes no sense when you look at what competitors are doing, competitors that aren't losing their a$$.

Do you want Six Flags to go out of business? How much can you enjoy those parks if they are sold to developers to make condos, and the rides are shipped to China for scrap?

Are you activating a new pass, or renewing one? I haven't had a pass in a few years, and I want to buy one at SFGAm for a some business trips I have in the next few months. They say I have to activate it at my home park first. I'm wondering if anyone's up there to do it this time of year, before I leave????

I hate all of you guys... my "early bird" Six Flags Great Adventure season pass costs me 80 dollars (excluding taz) and a whopping 45 dollars for PARKING! Not only that.. but now my favorite rides are gone... yeah, i kinda want a refund now. I really do not understand how I have to pay double the price for my season pass than one for Georgia. Just thought i'd throw that out, so you all see how fortunate you all are.

And it's more expensive for renewals because they want the sales that are not specically from the park to be cheaper, so more people will buy one... since.. "it's hard to pass up a good deal"

This is a new pass. I don't live near SFMM, but there are no Six Flags parks in my state. I doubt I'll have problems activating it.

different markets

Yeah.. but see.. it's DOUBLE the price. It does the same thing my season pass does... I never hated Six Flags until New Managment..

But well, the reason i'm typing thsi post is that. Cedar Fair... same price..all around. If it's not the SAME price it's within 10 dollars. Why the... should i have to pay nearly $50 more than someone who gets the same benefits?

Don't forget SFMM is also giving away for free a childs season pass with every $50 normal play pass!!!!

I thought the idea was to stop turning the parks into babysitters!?!??!

The Childrens' season pass is only valid for children 48" and under. That's the catch. I don't know of any parents neglectful enough to not accompany a child of theirs that's below 48". These kids will be pretty much be stuck hanging out at Bugs Bunny World all day because they're not tall enough to ride anything else -- even Gold Rusher. The kids the park "babysits" are the junior high school and high school kids that are over 48" that can be dropped off for a day at the park sans the presence of mom and dad.

The idea is that if they can give away childrens' season passes for free, mom and dad are likely to visit Six Flags more often than if they didn't have the free kids pass. More mom and dad means a stronger family presence at the park, meaning a hope for the increase of in-park-per-capita spending. First smart promotional move I've seen Six Flags pull at Magic Mountain in a VERY long time.

Now I don't feel so bad paying $70 for my SFMW pass! And I think the higher renewal price was just a error, SFMW's website orignally said the same thing, $10 more to renew. Only lasted a few days before the website was updated and now has the same price for both.

SFOG's season pass renewal was $70! Last year, it was $55. I probably won't renew. I don't plan on going to any other SF park except for SFMM. If I do go to more than 1 Six Flags parks, I'll probably hit SFKK first and buy their $50 season pass.
