JimmyBo Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Non-German Tom decided to fly out during his holiday and I met up with him at a few parks in So Cal. Unfortunately, Tom brought some nasty hot weather with him so the parks were extremely hot but still loads of fun. I mean come on...who doesn't have fun with a british chap in America? Here we go.... Time to play with Legos!!!!! And some symbol that means peace or freedom or "Don't mess with the US or we'll bomb you" Some famous singing place in the continent where an animal killed the best croc hunter ever Some tall structure in the country where french fries come from Some place over on some continent where there are a lot of people Somewhere over on the East Coast Some place in Northern California Alright! MiniLand Time! Here's Tom with his First Class British Porn Star...no, not Lou...Queen Lizzy Hey! It's me with my governator AWENAULD Now am I the only one that see's something wrong in this picture? Does that Dinosaur have an erection? This is part of the Spalsh Battle...we decided not to go on it because it was only 90 degrees outside...IN NOVEMBER! This was the new Pirate's Cove that just opened this year...It had a Spalsh Battle, Sooooper small log flume, and one of those water play areas where a bucket full of water drops on poor defenseless children And we did, we finished the race before any of the other teams put their fire out. (If you know how Fire Academy works, we kicked butt. If you don't know how it works...then just picture a dragster going against a horse and carriage...we were the dragster Alright...Fire Academy. It was time to kick some serious butt But needless to say, Tom was a horrible boat driver and he fell overboard and a shark ate him Shark-"MMMM, british flesh!" Cuz Tom wanted to drive an american boat where the steering wheel was in the center Then it was time for Skipper School! Why you ask? Of course I had to do level 5 again...Tom wimped out and only did level 4 (i guess the 5 cups of coffee finally was catching up to him) But we both liked it so much that we had to do a re-ride Then, about half a second after the ride started...we started to question our decision ...we decided to do the highest intensity experience possible Here's one of those robitic arm knights jousting theme things...I have never been on one of these before and well..... ARRR!! I'm a big scary dragon. Behind me is the best ride in the park. ARRR!! Seriously...I had to blur this picture just so it would seem like it was going fast. They had the trims on waaaayyyyy toooooo much Next was Project X...X for extremely slow! This one's for you Big Mike. We saw this guy and he reminded us of you...You rock Big Mike! We had fun blasting people with the water cannons...poor defenseless kids Then we headed over to Aquazone! Not quite Aquaman but pretty close to being completely opposite That's the most action that LegoChick has seen in minutes! I decided to play with a friendly lion...but then he turned out to be not so friendly when he ate me Tom decided to play with the water fountains...but they got thier revenge and trapped him in a wall of water Wow! Coastersaurus through the trees! Almost as cool as Voyage through the trees! It Is! Holy British Porn Star Panties! What's that through the trees? Is that a credit? Yep, it's gunna be a busy day...the parking lot is already full! Here we be...my "home park". Only 5 minutes from my house but since So Cal is known for traffic, it took us 20 minutes to get there Even my neighbor's cat was around to say good-bye Here we are having an American Breakfast...eggs and bacon and Tom drinking his 5 cups of coffee...weird brits Here's where it all starts...my house in sunny Encinitas, Cali
JimmyBo Posted November 9, 2006 Author Posted November 9, 2006 Now it's time for some pictures that will probably get me banned from TPR but hopefully Robb and Elissa will be nice and at least let me finish me Trip Report... So after LegoLand I had to take Tom to the best burgers in the world...IN - N - OUT!
Gnome Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 its been a while since I was last at the land of legos, I would like to go back in the near future. Anyways, amusing trip report, as always.
robbalvey Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Ok, that was freaking funny!!!! Glad to see you taking care of the brit while I'm 10 minutes away from his house!!!!! --Robb *sigh* Alvey
JimmyBo Posted November 9, 2006 Author Posted November 9, 2006 Next Day was Knott's, Disney CA Adventure, and D-Land...it was hot but still fun. I met up with Tom, Don and Monica and we had a very eventful and extremely hot day...did I mention it was hot? Here we go... Just an idea of how hot it was...here ya go. 100 freakin degrees! We say good-bye to Knott's and Snoopy as we head to Pat and Oscar's for grub! It was so hot outside that Tom decided to cool off a bit Where the hell was everyone? Tom and Don sat in the very front, me in the back, and some random dude in the middle...that was it We decided to run back over to GhostRider and I'm sure glad we did because the station was extremely full Montezooma's Revenge.... BACKWARDS!!!!!! Ryan, this one's for you dude. Double pounding Non-German Tom!!! (Plus the jaguar's in the background are pounding each other Next was Jaguar...or as the brits pronounce it... Jog-u-wire There was a lot of british cursing coming from this vertical loop...I wonder if Tom has bloody ears yet? So we all watched Tom as he got his Boomrangizzle credit Log "Sit Down!" Flume Signature Shot! Mullet was the same meh! except for the "forceless" helix Next was (as Don calls it) Silver Mullet! Tom and Don are ready to get their ride on GhostRider...through the trees! Almost as cool as Coastersaurus through the trees! We decided to head to GhostRider before it warmed up too much and got broken in...plus the copper train was on the track and that train seems to run the best. Knott's...America's First Theme Park? Sure, whatever!
JimmyBo Posted November 9, 2006 Author Posted November 9, 2006 So we head off to DCA and D-Land for 2 hours each and do everything in DCA and the important stuff in D-Land... Here we go... No it was time for Pirate's...or as Don called it "Hurricane Katrina the experience...the flooded Bayou" Big Thunder was running all big and thundery. Tom and I sat in the death seat but we managed to survive...thank god! The mansion was decked out for the holiday season So after DCA closed we head over to Disney and say hello to Disney's Largest Paper weight This is what you call a ghost train, seriously. CA creamin is a haunted rolly coaster So here's some of the pier at night...cool? Yeah, it actually looks better than Coney Beach Now This is Big Bear Lake...I mean Grizzly River Rapids (GRR) This is the Sun Wheel without a big fat head in front of it This is the sun wheel...Jeff Johnson counts it as 16 credits cuz he's a whore like that A shot of the sunset Time for Tom to experience "REAL" California driving...mainly LA driving Oh geez...the suns going down and I guess it doesn't look so bad at night Time for the best replica park of Coney Beach in the US Side boob shot of Cinderella = hot Monsters Inc. I was very impressed with this ride. I think it still shows that Disney can still make really good dark rides as long as you dont have to wait 3 hrs for it Sweet, only a 13 minute wait Terror of Tower...where you drop and vomit your 5 cups of coffee...Tom... Time to go to Not so good Tower, but first we have to walk through DCA Mainstreet ALIFORN...NEW PARK!!!! SWEET!!!!
JimmyBo Posted November 9, 2006 Author Posted November 9, 2006 And now I give you one last shot as I do in all my Trip Reports...A final wallpaper shot. Thanks to Tom, Don and Monica for an awesome time.
Guy T. Koepp Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Yeah Hi! Thanks for giving me a ringy dingy guys. I would have loved to have joined you. Just kidding! Great TR. It looks like you all had a awesome time.
Divv3k Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Good to see that Tom is in safe hands. Is it wrong that I'm jealous of someone being in California?
DallasAlvey Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Next was Project X...X for extremley slow! Project X is just about anything but slow. It's probley the best mouse I've been on. I will admit though the ending is slow but the first drop is is fast and filled with airtime. If you want slow you should ride that dragon coaster.
Bush985 Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Ahh... Pat and Oscars. How many times did Don drag you there? I think he had me there about 5 times last month. -RD
larrygator Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Real nice Jim, you rip on the kid's father and his favorite mouse in the same PTR.
DallasAlvey Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Real nice Jim, you rip on the kid's father and his favorite mouse in the same Photo TR. lol nice going. I'm serious that mouse isn't slow.
Ed Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 If anyone else meets up with Tom remind him that I have both Matterhorn Credits. And he doesnt.
JimmyBo Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 Guy, we were going to call you but we figured that was your day with Kim Possible so we'd thought to let you two have the day to yourselves. Larry, thanks for bringing that up And Dallas, Project X's first drop was fast but right after it, they had the trims on so much that we creeped around the rest of the ride. Maybe they were afraid Tom was going to fly out so they slowed it down. Tom is in Vegas right now getting some strip club credits...i mean coaster credits
Erik Johnson Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Wow, NGT is really racking up some US credits this year. How long does Disneyland run the Nightmare version of the Mansion every year?
Guy T. Koepp Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Untill the first week in January I think.
socalMAN123 Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 They've run it since October 7th or 8th and it lasts until like January 7th. Well, looks like Tom enjoyed his visit to Socal, I missed you guys by one day at DLR! ---Brent
Louise Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Great photos Jim, and I laughed at a whole bunch of captions as always!! Ugh, 100 degrees would kill me and my English rose complexion!! Coney Beach > DCA... That's accurate, right?!
Satoshi Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Now it's time for some pictures that will probably get me banned from TPR but hopefully Robb and Elissa will be nice and at least let me finish me Trip Report... wow i didn't know lego has such great ABC word stuffs and we can make messages lol!
