Calvin
S&S Double Shot 120' models. AIRTIME. They have one of those at Castle Park, although I think the one there is even smaller. And my god, you get so much freakin' airtime at the top.
IceDragon
my favourites are: 1) Detonator (Thorpe Park. masses of airtime, fastest 100ft tower around!!!) 2) the 200ft tower in Malaga, Spain (seems to last quite a long time. love the way it slowly drags you up, then speeds up and slows down again before doing a quick 5 ft pre-drop, thena full scale drop. INTENSE!!!) 3) not sure if this counts, but, Oblivion (Alton Towers. i loved being held 200ft in the air almost vertical before being dropped. much better than Sheikra)

Fry
I'd rate the Towers I've ridden in this order... 1. Tower of Terror, MGM. 2. Hurakan Condor, Port Aventura. 3. Mystery Castle, Phantasialand. 4. Detonator, Thorpe. 5. Apocolypse, Drayton Manor. 6. Doctor Doom, IoA. 7. Space Shot, RIP, Southport. 8. Ice Blast, Blackpool. Also.. Oblivion (Alton Towers. i loved being held 200ft in the air Oblivion holds you like, 70ft in the air But, the drop is better then Sheikra's. Lack of hole takes a lot from Sheikra's. IOA Freak
Tower of Terror is the best drop ride I've ever ridden. The storyline with the ride just makes it scarier.

nihtro
whats the difference between intamin 1st and 2nd generation drop rides?
matteocrepaldi
I discovered this type of rides this past July at Mirabilandia where they have the S&S towers: space shot and turbo drop. The best tower I've been on is Space Vertigo at Gardaland. It's small but it's REALLY powerful! I was wondering: are the Huss' towers good? RCfanatic
I was wondering: are the Huss' towers good? I rode one this summer in Bellewaerde Park (Belgium), and i must say it was pretty good, its like an S&S Space Shot tower but after falling down after the launch, you are pushed back up to the top to hang there for a few seconds and then you are dropped back into the brakes (Its like an S&S tower and afterwards an Intamin freefall). The capacity is also better becouse there are more seats then S&S's towers. The downsides are: 1- When you are pushed back up, it makes a really loud noise! 2- IMO Intamin freefalls are still a little bit better then this one becouse they provide more airtime then Huss's tower. But they're still very good towers, only not the best IMO.
