On Six Flags Magic Mountain's Log Jammer, how big is the big drop. I saw a POV of it, and it looked like one heck of a drop for a flume. Also I know it is hidden in the mountains and I want to know how many drops there are in total besides the very big one.

i rode it in august and it was probably the 4th best log flume ive ever been on (after the two american splash mountains and the flume at SFFT) it goes up the big lift hill then probably takes a >4ft. drop and then turns to the left for a long, graded straightaway. then it turns around and takes a very long, twisty path to the second lift hill which isn't very big. then there is a slow section followed by a big drop and then the second big drop, which is the biggest.i don't know the stats or anything but its really high up on my list. i strongly suggest riding this on a summer night when it's still hot but there is no line.

Its a decent log ride. Better than JetStream IMO. Yeah, two drops. the first one is probably around 40 ft; the second one is a little bit higher.

I never quite understood the obsession with Ripsaw Falls. The drop is awesome, but the themeing is just "blah." Not bad, but not good. Timber Mountain Log Ride (KBF) and the Splash Mountains are much more immersive experiences.

Its been stated

Ripsaw Falls is the greatest log flume ever.

Ya and nobody mentioned Ripsaw Falls nor was Log Jammer claimed to be the best flume ever in this thread. So...your point?

Log Jammer at the time of its inception was the longest flume ride, with the longest drop on a flume ride in the world. A little trivia most people aren't aware of. The ride's final drop is somewhere in the ballpark of 70-feet.

Jet Stream's final drop is 57-feet.

If I remember correctly, I think LJs drop is something like 45 feet.

And I agree with Joey...Jet Stream is 100x better than Log Jammer. However, I'd rather be at Brake 3 at Jammer than Brake 3 at Jet any day...

40ft isnt high, the flume at Thorpe Park is in the 80ft region :\. and no, it does not level out, it changes gradient 3 times, crating the uber-cool feeling of log flume airtime!
