DerekRx
Sorry to bring this up from the dead, and I hope that this is correct. I found the following information at this link: http://www.aceonline.org/events/ Winter Coaster Solace. March 2-3, 2007. Knott's Berry Farm (Buena Park, CA). I don't see anything on Knott's Berry Farm's site though. I wouldn't plan anything around these dates yet. Just got the latest ACE News today, and it says in there that Knott's Coaster Solace is going to be on Saturday, March 10, 2007. I'd wait until there is an official confirmation from the park before scheduling yourself off or booking a room or anything. little blurb about upcoming park events stating possible (?) date of Solace Sept/October 2006 issue (actually came in October!) CoasterFanatic
Since they have already posted it in two places, my guess is that someone knows when it is. Maybe a call to the park can get some more info. Any takers?

Coaster Palooza
^^^I got that too Derek and I agree that I wouldn't plan anything just yet until we get "official" word. I just saw it on the website and thought I would post it. Hopefully Wally can find something out today!

65skylark
Excellent! That works out best for me too. I'll buy the first round at the Knott's Hotel.

65skylark
^ I do like my foo-foo margarits. But one of those Wally size mugs full of Widmer Hef doesn't sound too bad either.

PhishyBrewer
It's not the 2nd and 3rd!!! 8th Annual Winter Coaster SolaceMarch 10, 2007 Calling all Coaster Enthusiasts! Plan for a coaster filled day including E.R.T. on our most popular rides, Mrs. Knott's Chicken Lunch, Thrill Seeker's Raffle, plus a commemorative T-shirt http://www.knotts.com/park/calendar/index.asp I know this screws things for a lot of people including myself. I won't be able to go anymore because I'll be in Japan. Hopefully some of you can get your flights changed.
socalMAN123
How many times are they gonna change this event? Watch, next time they change it, the event's gonna be on August 17th. Anywho, I've always wanted to go to this event but have never had enough money to join ACE. ---Brent
PhishyBrewer
I've always wanted to go to this event but have never had enough money to join ACE.---Brent You don't need to be a member of ACE to do this event. Most park events allow most coaster groups or clubs to attend. Like premium members from Ted's coasterfanatics.com.
Guy T. Koepp
This is very odd. I just got an email from my ACE rep that this event is going to be on the 2nd-3rd. Weird? As to the other questions. You can go if you have a CF pass as well. It is an upcharge event. But you do get a pretty nice discount.
SharkTums
^LOL! Leave it to Knotts and ACE to get the details straight!

Rollerholden
^ Read the first post on this page. I checked the Knott's site either yesterday or the day before, and it still said the event was the 3rd, so this must be a very recent change. Guy T. Koepp
Elissa, is there going to be a rideworld event this year?
SharkTums
I will post this for the umpteenth time! You do not need to be a member of ACE or almost any group to attend Solace. Many sites offer 'passes' that will 'get you in'. In the past, you've never needed to show any of these or any kind of proof that you're cooler than Joe Normal and in a club. There is one price if you have a current Cedar Fair Pass, and a higher price if you do not. In the past couple of years this price has included ERT and a group meal. SharkTums
^^I believe Robb contacted Chris from Rideworld to find out. (Since we'll coordinate a big party too!) As of now there was nothing confirmed. Hopefully we'll hear something soon!

SharkTums
AHHHH!!!! There are only two prices...with a Cedar Fair Season Pass, and without a Cedar Fair Season Pass. You can print out a piece of paper from various sites online. It doesn't get you a discount, you just have it in case they ask for your "proof of belonging to a club".
