So this got passed around at work today, for obvious reasons, but it just amazes me where the video game industry has come in 20 years.

Look at the "stereotypical programmer geek" that all these guys look like, and how just a few short years ago those little boxy stick figures and a screen flash was considered "state of the art."

I love it!

I remember playing all of those games! Clearly Activision has had it's act together for a long time, they even had The Great Phil Hartman doing Ice Hockey Commercials.

No doubt twenty years from today, there will be a special on the history of video games and we'll watch an interview of Robb (Before he left Activision to form Alvey Interactive Inc.) discussing games like Call of Duty 2, and how "those" games were the state of the art for there time.

The next 20 years in Video Game development will be a fun and amazing ride for all of us!

I believe they have this video on the Activision Collection for the PS2. By the way, I hope the new version of this upcoming game is a little better than this one:

Awesome stuff. Nothing says "realistic" and making you feel like you're "part of the action" quite like stick people hockey. Funny how we can now have all those games emulated on our cell phones! Thanks for sharing!

That was awesome, I certainly remember those games, in fact I'm sure I have a few of them

Funny enough, one of the next video's that was brought up after watching that was the old Transformers game for the NES, please Robb, don't follow this example

I have a Playstaion 2 and I think all I have for it is the classic game complation, like Activision Anthology, Capcom Game Classics, etc. There's something about playing Pitfall that is so much fun, even today.
