pvcoasterguy Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Totally agreed... Dragon is a total piece. I guess that's what we get when we get the only Hopkins coaster with OSTRs... The dinky bunny hills of pain, lifthill turn of hot doom, straight ramp-ish drop that shouldn't be rough but is, two spine-compressing too-high-g loops, and two nosebleed helices. It's just not a fun ride anymore... LOL. Let's get an S&S... they seem to be reasonable in price. Or a used Arrow Mulitlooper... anything would be better than Dragon... even an SLC.
Ed Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 7 Minute TopScan almost killed me. And the 5 minute Tango/Equinox cycle... I was holding on for dear life! Fairs <3
Calvin Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Our Rotary Park here in Fresno has this Octopus that gives you airtime. I'm totally serious, the tub goes up and then just drops and then rises and then drops, but instead of "uuuppp...dowwwnn...uuuppp...dowwnn..." it's "uuuppp...OMGDOWNAAAH...uppppp...AAAAAAHOMGOMGOMG..." And they also have the teacups of death, which are like the Francis' Ladybug Boogie at DCA, but on crack. Really really high-quality crack. Add to that the best Rock-O-Plane in the galaxy and a credit none of you have and it's something that means great but is really fabulous-sounding.
buttonman700 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 The Octopus at Thrill-Ville is by far one of the most out of control flats out there. This and any temest ride, out of control!
USRoadTripper Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I'm sure that if Beech Bend's Scat 2 had gone on for even one more minute, that I would have passed out from the intensity! -Julie
Edwardo Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 I just noticed this thread. Myrtle Beach ran it's Rainbow insane. Too bad the last ride on the Top Spin wasn't as great as it could have been. On that note, I rode a roundup and Rock O Plane this weekend that was on Heroin Mode. All out and for like 5 minutes each.
onewheeled999 Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Once in Lake Tahoe, I went to this little kiddie carnival that had some classic rides like a roll-o-plane and a paratrooper. The scrambler ride there was just so insane, I'm sure it was at full power! It hurt, being pushed so hard into the side of the car like that.
Gnome Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 When I was at SeaWorld, they pretty much ran Kraken at max capacity with 1 minute dispatch time. Give and take a couple of seconds per each load. Then IOA pretty much runs Hulk to capacity as well. DD is not exactly in the same boat, I think they could go faster, but it didn't have much more then a 15 minute wait when I was there. Silver Bullet also used to be a people eater, although that is rare today. And on busy days Calfornia Screaming really shifts in to high gear and gets people out of the station in less then a minute. (Although, usually not the case on slow days ) And there are many others, but those were the best that I can think of right now.
