Gnome Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Has anyone else seen the awsomeness that of which is located in this ride? Its so articulated. I mean, even just from watching the video you get a sense of how terrifying it must be to see this thing in person. Note: If you're going to DisneySeas any time soon, and you haven't been there before, I'd reccommend not watching the video as the ending is just to awsome to spoil.
robbalvey Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Yup. He's awesome. You can also see him in TPR's Tokyo Disney video: http://www.themeparkreview.com/videos/tokyodisneylandvideo.htm --Robb
SharkTums Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 He's my lava monster. And he kicks all sorts of ass. If you want a better video of him and Journey, buy ours! 52 weeks till I'm on Journey again!
Calvin Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Book me a seat on the next Japan TPR trip. Just not the one coming up, because I'd like to wait until I graduate high school and lose like seventy pounds. And I'm gonna graduate and lose weight because this looks sooooo coooooooool.
disneyfan1313 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I call him a Lobstermatronic! He reminds me of a giant lobster!
niiicolaaah Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Hmm, that's definitely something I need to see before I die.
okinawaboy11 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Yeah he's pretty cool I like him more than the Yeti. But that just might be and my hate towards all things cold. It's always warm in hell
SharkTums Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I like him better than the Yeti also. I think he's about the same size, but you see him longer, closer, and he seems to move a lot more.
Wes Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Lava monster is not Satan! Poor, poor lava monster.
robbalvey Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Lava monster is not Satan! Can you prove that?
Adriel Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 The lava monster is just so real! You can feel the warm around you as you reach his area. I always closed my ears when the cars reached the lava area and the thunder cave.
pianojohn Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Yeah, it is an amazing creature and a great ride. Now if we can just convince the US parks to build this one! (Stormrider too! Hey, The Weather Channel could take over Wonders of Life and put Storm Rider there! What do you think?)
SharkTums Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 OH NO!!! NO STORMRIDER!!! Give me an Aquatopia instead!!!!
ECZenith Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 By the time I make it to Japan, Disney will probably have a Journey installed stateside... This ride is definately the one I've wanted to try the most since it's opened, hopefully I can make the NEXT Japan trip after college.
Adriel Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Aquatopia is a great attraction too. But is there any connection between weather and this water GPS ride? I think EPCOT's Wonders of Life maybe changed into Weather pavilion or something like Port Discovery.
SharkTums Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Of course there's a connection! Stormrider and Aquatopia are in the same themed area at DisneySeas! Plus that whole area has an adorable Chip n Dale Scientists as mascots! Think how incredible the pavilion would look if you walked in and there was an indoor Aquatopia and off to the side they had Stormrider, and some Weather Exhibits on the walls. Too cool to happen.
Adriel Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I guess that will be great if it really happen in the next few years. But do you think they will build the Aquatopia with GPS system? I'm not so sure because they don't even use the system to the Pooh attraction. I know GPS system is very expensive and if it doesn't be cared well, it will break down a lot or maybe there will be accident.
pianojohn Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 OH NO!!! NO STORMRIDER!!! Give me an Aquatopia instead!!!! OK, how about both?! I loved Stormrider, and the film featured western actors dubbed into Japanese. So I assume it would be an easy install at a US Disney Park. I also like the fact that the simulator rooms are HUGE. I think they held almost 100 people. Anyway.....I can dream!
