I just LOVE headlines like this! There is so much humor in such a short little story!!!

 

When I first saw the headline instantly what came to mind was... "I thought ACE was going to Japan, not Korea!!!"

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - Six elephants escaped from an amusement park Wednesday and injured a woman as they rampaged through the South Korean capital, officials said. All of the animals were eventually captured and returned to the park.

 

One elephant charged into an alley near an elementary school and hit a 52-year-old woman, Roh In-sun, with its trunk, Yonhap news agency said. She was being treated at a hospital.

 

"She fell, and I ran away because I was scared," said Roh's landlord, Lee Hye-ja, who was standing with her when the elephant came charging toward them.

 

Television footage showed one elephant breaking a glass door to enter a nearby restaurant.

 

"Three elephants came into the restaurant... I hid in the closet," said Choi Yoon-sun, the owner of the restaurant told South Korea's MBC news. Another elephant was seen at one time standing on a small garden of a house.

 

The elephants were able to run away due to the "zookeeper's carelessness" on the circus compound at the Childrens' Grand Park, police said, reportedly escaping during a daily show.

 

"Television footage showed one elephant breaking a glass door to enter a nearby restaurant."

 

OBVIOUSLY the Koreans must have mistaken the ACErs for elephants because they had never seen such creatures before ravaging through their restaurant!!!

I saw this on the news last night, I cracked up. there's nothing like seeing 2 elephants break through a wall its making laugh now just thinking about it.

On the plus side, the "elephants" were returned to the park without incident.

Dumbo the elephant was quoted "Can't we all just get along?" in a news conference earlier today regarding the riots in downtown Seoul. As you remember, this all started when a not guilty verdit was handed down to 5 stage clowns for being video taped beating Dumbo during a routine traffic stop.

 

Sorry, I don't know where this stuff comes from.

Reminds me of that one video they always play on "when animals attack". The one where a circus elephant snaps, kills the trainer, and then rampages around the city before getting taking down by cops with shotguns.

 

But the funny thing about that video was the guy running to close the chain link fence before the elephant gets there. Because I'm really sure the elephant was going through that fence wether it was closed or open.
