  1. I may be a teenager, and thus may not have the best idea of proper methods of "punishment" may be, but hey it's the internet, and I have my right to rant! I have no clue why half the people are so worried about the mental trauma that may be cause when you spank you kids. If the father is a drunk lowlife, who hits their kids for not holding his ash tray in the right way (a bit exaggerated I know) then obviously the poor child is going to have some issues. However, spanking a child when they do something wrong, and the child already understands what he did, and why it was wrong, is perfectly fine, until I was 11 that's what happened to me when I did something really stupid. The problem is that some parents don't do the right thing at the right time. The parent(s) should be able to determine the best action to take when a child is misbehaving, but half of them would rather OD on anti-depression pills, and give a half hearted speech to the child. In which case the child will just run rampage and loose his sense of proper judgment. I say this because I personally know someone who has been living in a situation, where he would be given a generic speech, that he probably didn't understand/care about, every time he did something wrong. If I were a parent, punishment would simply work like this: If they did something wrong, but didn't know any better. The child would be told what he did, what the proper course of action would be, and they would be grounded from toys etc, for 1-3 days. If they did the same thing again, the child would be locked in his room and grounded from toys, and friends, depending on the severity of the action. Third time, spanking! Sounds a bit cruel, but by the third time, the child should understand, and if all goes well, the child will rarely ever reach this level. That's a basic system that my parents used, and obviously it would vary greatly depending on context, but it works perfectly. I may have issues, but those are from school incidents that usually involved other people who weren't raised properly trying to jump me etc. (Whew, that was long... )
  2. Ok, so I've been working on a whole presentation thingy that I will debut during big school district meeting of technology teachers, where I will show a quick sample lesson plan, a few videos of what the program can do, and all that other blah. However, since teachers will be given a complimentary NoLimits download, and that some teachers have a Mac, while others PC, I need to know if there are any differences between the two programs that I would have to mention during the presentation.
  3. Eh, now I'm speculating, but I presume that you are still new to NL, and thus are whoring on quickie designs. You seem to be having a rocky start, but a quick word of wisdom, people much rather prefer quality over quantity.
  4. Overall, meh. You eliminated on of the signature elements of a jet coaster, *cough* spiral lift *cough* and the track seemed a bit, stretched. No good pacing at all. Plus you may want to tunnel test the thing next time. Not much bad about it, but nothing really good about it.
  5. Oh thank god for the rant topic! Anywho, lets get down to the knitty gritty of it all. Lately on YouTube I've seen a lot of religion bashing videos. Most, if not all of these videos used "word manipulation" to tie to completely different subjects together to make a single stain, on some religions white coat. For instance, there is a video on YouTube a bout a pedophile who was a MoTab, (Mormon Tabernacle Choir) member. The whole description of the video was the guy linking the pedophiles, pedophalism (?) to him being a Mormon, and a whole bunch of junk about how the Mormon religion is false. First of all, who cares if it's real or not, the religion itself does no harm to anybody, and most Mormons are happy with their lives, otherwise they'd choose a different religion. But, now some of you will say, "Hes a pedophile, and a Mormon. Mormons are harmful to society!"... WRONG! This would be "word manipulation" For instance, I can say that Jane has eaten a pickle, and she has cancer. Now, many people would assume that the pickle has caused the cancer, but no the pickle and the cancer are not related. If you consider that most Americans have eaten a pickle once in their life, that if I go up to ANY cancer patient, that they would say that they have eaten a pickle in their life. The pickle and the cancer are not related! Now some of you will say, "Well duh, of course their not related, pickles don't cause cancer!" Well, um, duh! It was a metaphor. Most of these "manipulations" are done very slyly. One that might be harder to notice, is that everyone who lived in the 1800's and ate salted pork, died. Many would think that the salted pork killed them, but no! They're dead because they lived in the friggin' 1800's! Why can't people just learn to accept all peoples of all types! I'm 14, and yet I'm preaching this to stubborn 40 year olds on YouTube! My opinion is valid, and you have the right to hear it! *pants* Anyway, so yeah... needed to get that off my chest...
  6. Figured I might post a pic of me without the spiky hair, and semi-goth drab. OH GOD ITS HORRIBLE! ... I need to smile more often... Wait, I mean ! Now you get a close up of my mutant eyebrows, and the Ricardo 'stache, lucky you!
  7. Wow, I had no idea how many people here took so many great pictures! Anyway, I just got my new HP (8 Mega-Pixel) Photosmart R927, along with the A716 printer. A little perk my dad got from Novell, and figured I'd make better use of it. Anywho, the second it charged up, I dashed to my back yard and took some close ups, now that I've learned a few pointers from my Photo class at school. Here's an over edited fly close up, not sure what species, (could ask my biology teacher) but sadly, it came out a lot grainier than I would have liked. My cat, Amunet. Her eyes had a sort of "Mona Lisa" effect, which I really like. Here's a little fuzzy bee, I really liked how this photo turned out, Here is a fly, sitting on the same bush as my first fly picture, and the wasp picture. This is one of my favorites, sadly it's cropping shifted a lot when I converted it into a jpeg. The original has the wasp up towards the top right thirds intersection (if that makes any sense at all) I wanted to experiment with lines and pattern for a while. This would be the butterfly molesting dog I mentioned. Her name's Lucy, and she's my little dumb blond. A very bright number, I just watched this butterfly for 20 minutes. I couldn't look away until my dog scared it away. Can butterflies be scared away?
  8. Emo pose! With a Ricky Ricardo surfacing mustache! At least it's not as ridiculous as my last picture. Rawr...
  9. Not bad, but I will say the lateral braces(?), or whatever, the diagonal tubes on the support structure jut out at a painfully awkward angle. Consider making it a bit more acute.
  10. Might as well, I need to work on something like this for a bit anyway,
  11. A few hours at lest, *rawr*. Anyway, I got a video made for you guys! YAY! I think the color scheme for the video is a bit more appealing than crap brown and red, no?
  12. Ok, well um... wow it's been a while since I've posted a track, dang I need to make more, more often. Anyway, my track design is basically a twist between the real life MS S-coasters 1000 and 2000, hence the 1500. But the track is a decent design, with a few twists and packs a punch for its size. I'll be in the works of a video for all you, **cough** shameful **cough** non NoLimits users. Yay I finished a movie for a model of this ride, I simply gave the coaster a code name, Get Down! PS: Fueled By Ritalin, is my Youtube screen name, so you can also find my videos, or at least a few of them if you search! S Coaster 1500.zip Yay the download. Enjoy! A final overview, in this one you can see the interlocking overbanks. Pretty fun ride no? This is the weird little 'banked hill' which is a pretty unique element to the coaster. It's the little helix. Aww it's so cuoooot! Here's a view of the ending of the ride, and the bridge over the track for the station entrance. Maurer Soehne Get Down.wmv The Video!
  13. Well Wee, you had inventive elements, that were executed poorly. But none the less gutsy. Also, you want to get rid of pumps? From my knowledge, a pump is just an inconsistent change of radius of the heartline in the track. Ex, all the turns, drops blah-blah-blah, should have a constant radius, or an elliptical curve, not a box shape, or triangle. PM me if that's a bit confusing.
  14. SiCKO 9/10 SiCKO is probably one of the most eye opening documentaries that I have ever seen. It's a movie on par with the greatest. The topic is American health care systems. How the one's without insurance survive, and the one's with insurance are scammed out of their money. As with many Michel Moore films, SiCKO has some, (but very few) exaggerated parts, but the film shows how far we are from fair, and equal treatment. Ovaral SiCKO is a must see film, I give it a 9/0
  15. http://rcdb.com/ig198.htm?picture=1 EWWW!!! Just an odd color scheme with the ride. Not only was it awkward for the ride, it stuck out like a puss infected thumb http://rcdb.com/ig198.htm?picture=9 Now they reversed the color scheme, much better
  16. Hey, Xascher here, been a while since I posted, before I get into the main stuff, my computer just had a major reformat, so any projects I had, are now lost. Sorry for those waiting for the Extreme X-car project. Anyway, I am creating a video tutorial, or series of tutorials for how to use the program No Limits. I plan to create three main videos, or three tutorials. 1) Focused for a Jr. High, High School demographic, which shows basics. Enough topics so that teachers can create a thorough lesson plan from it. Iplan to release this edition on YouTube.com, and in a downloadable format. 2) Focused on more advanced school students, but mostly for a wide audience of people. This video will have a quick review of the basics, and show more advanced material. This will be posted on YouTube alone, until further notice. 3) Focused on NL familiar people, who want to learn more advanced tools, I MAY include info on using third party tools, but I'm hoping to stay true to the original software. I'm looking for as much help and input as I can from you guys. I need ideas on what to cover for the first tutorial. I will post updates and WIP footage. I'll get the intro video up ASAP. Ciao!!!
  17. In my opinion, a sport is anything where two or more people compete against each other in front of spectators. However anything that is done by drunken collage students is instantly stricken from record. Cheerleading, in competition is a sport, and easily more so that cup stacking, in which I compete, and enjoy at tournaments.
  18. Ok. before anyone rants about how uncomfortable X-Car seats are, I KNOW but that will not change my opinion that it is a great concept. The elements are in this order: Half Loop,(Humpty Bump lift) Downward corkscrew Immelmann Inclined Loop V Vertical loop ^ (Interlocks with Inclined Loop) Non inverting Cuban Eight Ok, here are a few pics of my progress, please give your thoughts. PS: This project is COMPLETELY hand made, including the flanges on the little supports I have done so far. Here are the last three elements. You cant see the bending part of the Cuban Eight, but i'll just tell you it's a rather fun 90* hairpin turn Here are the first three elements. Or two, if you count the lift and first vertical as an immelmann
  19. Wow, I think it's just the cop getting giddy over arresting someone. Orem and Provo have a huge problem with corrupt cops, kinda sounds like when my poor cousins were fined for somewhere around 100$ because their dog quote, "Barked so loudly it disturbed the neighbors, and made many people fear for their lives." The world is spiraling downward!!!! RAWR!!!
  20. People who say that caffeine will kill me. I'm a 5 DR. Pepper a day kind of person, and I don't care whatever the caffeine does to me, I LIKE IT!!! People who say Diet Coke Kills, F U People who say that tattos, and writing on yourself with a pen gives you skin cancer... F U ALL!!!
