  1. Wiener Looping at Boardwalk and Baseball.
  2. I was at Schlitterbahn KC yesterday and was able to get a pick of the new slide. I had a free ticket to the park and had to use it or lose it.
  3. Well that's horrible news. I will be there tomorrow. At least I rode it last year.
  4. El Toro last Monday. Then the thunderstoms came and everything closed.
  5. Paid for both days. Got my plane tickets booked and am ready to go. This will be my second WCB. Probably will drop by Disneyland on Friday and some other park on Monday.
  6. More news on the park houston.culturemap.com/news/realestate/07-10-13-astroworld-times-six-construction-on-new-houston-theme-park-begins-and-its-size-is-already-expanding/
  7. I actually saw my self on tonight's episode. I was the guy walking behind the family when they exited the New Texas Giant. I noticed that NTaG got a score of 883, so I guess it is second on the list right below I305.
  8. Great trip report. The shuttle is displayed much better than the one at NYC. I will definitely have to check it out the next time I am in Florida. The Kennedy Space Center was definitely one of the key players in the shuttle program since everything launched from there. But as soon as it cleared the launch tower, mission control in Houston took over for the rest of the flight. I worked three years as a shuttle safety engineer back in the 90's at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. I still find it sad that Houston didn't get a shuttle. Houston is the center for manned space flight. All of the astronauts trained and lived here. The main home of the shuttle program was here. All of the engineers that designed the missions and worked on the shuttle lived here also. Awesome pictures. I love how they displayed the shuttle as if it was flying in orbit.
  9. Titan at SFoT - That helix definitely will cause grey outs X2 at SFMM - Insanely intense Weiner Looping at Boardwalk and Baseball - I greyed out on this thing Top Thrill Dragster at CP - can't beat that open seating with just a lap bar and a great view of the lake Iron Rattler - Best pacing ever in a coaster. Keeps up the intensity until you hit the brakes with a huge pop of air and laterals.
  10. Just came back from Fiesta Texas. I was really impressed on how fast the line moved for Iron Rattler. Waited only 30 minutes on memorial Day. I have to say that Iron Rattler is great ride. Now that I have ridden all three RMC coasters, it's really hard to choose which one is better. NTaG has the most air time IRat is smooth, fast, and feels completely out of control on its pacing. Love that Disco tunnel and water effects. The zero g roll feels perfect. Outlaw run has great terrain, airtime, two barrel rolls and has some of that good old fashion woodie feel. If I had to rate them. 1. IRat, 2. Outlaw Run, 3. NTaG.
  11. Great report, I may have to skip Indiana Beach on my trip to coastermania and ride this instead.
  12. Great report. Didn't know Austin had a rodeo and I lived there for 5 years for college. I will have to try those tacos the next time I am up there.
  13. Went to the park yesterday and it was really crowded but I did get some nice pictures of the New Texas Giant. Fire Effects were working.
  14. Thank you all of the travel advice. Just got back from SDC. Outlaw Run was amazing. Definitely on my top 5. It was pretty crowded when I was there last Saturday, but the operations in this park are amazing. They moved the lines very efficiently. I only waited 45 minute for Outlaw Run with pretty much a full queue.
  15. Looks like I am heading over to San Antonio this weekend. Just rode Outlaw Run last weekend. Should be interesting to compare the two.
  16. Looks like I will be going to SDC this Saturday. I am DJ'in a wedding in Dallas on Friday so I thought it may be a good weekend to check out Outlaw run. Also on the way back I can drop by Frontier City for my first time on Sunday. Looks like I am going to try the 75 to 69 to I44 route. It's going to be a whole lot of driving this weekend since I will be starting the journey from Rosharon, TX just south of Houston on Friday.
  17. I should be there on June 6 after coastermania. I do remember riding XLR8 backwards in Astroworld and that actually got me a little sick. Hopefuly namtaB won't be as bad. Hope most of the other coasters will have more than one train operations by then. I actually like Mr. freeze reverse blast better. It is far more exciting looking straight down on the spike than looking up in the air. Same with Superman at Magic Mountain.
  18. Too bad I couldn't go on this one. Having a job with limited vacation time pretty much prevents me from attending weekday film shoots. Been on a couple at SFoT and they are quite fun. I should be there June 1st to give Iron Rattler a ride.

  20. OK this one is a regional chain but it's really good. Just outside of Seaworld San Antonio is Rudy's BBQ www.rudysbbq.com/page/location/name/bbq-san%20antonio
  21. Santa Cruz Beach Board Walk this Saturday
  22. It is 80 degrees in Houston right now. Because of the humidity it feels like 82.
  23. Dollywood, opening day tomorrow.
  24. I didn't know that had a special drink for the ride. Now I have to go.
