  1. No pictures, but I remember it. I don't think that helps, though. Sorry.
  2. And how much of a difference can that make? It's still a huge people eater and will move faster than pretty much every other line in the park. Ops had to do exactly that with the normal trains. Now they don't have to step over anyone to get to the middle seats. Think. People will not be confused because there will pretty much have to be two separate air gates (yes, I know they don't do that on Deja Vu, but that's a Six Flags Vekoma and this is a Cedar Fair B&M). It's fairly obvious where the rows start and end. Again, you are mindlessly complaining about the loose articles issue. Please tell me how on earth this arrangement could possibly be any worse than the current one in the loose articles department? The load side seat now has to step over three other seats, compared to one now. It's like that on every coaster, not just this one. I still don't see how those two seats will be obstructed. There's nothing near them anywhere. Well of course, because this layout is a little shorter and the trains are a little different, it must not have been thought out. You are nitpicking. That's all you're doing. You still have not addressed any major faults in the design. This is huge for B&M. This is the first time since Air that they have done anything risky or new. Someone said this earlier and they are totally, undeniably, completely correct: Why is it that enthusiasts are happy to ride any Dragon Wagon at all of the most obscure parks in the middle of nowhere, but when a ride with real potential is announced, all they can do is complain? Do you honestly think that you can't enjoy this ride because of trims that more than likely will not be used, trains that don't look familiar, or the fact that the capacity of the ride will be a tiny, tiny bit smaller? Please wake up, people.
  3. Willski, Bolliger and Mabillard are absolutely not idiots. They wouldn't allow these trains to get on the track if they were so obviously worse than their current design. I'm not a huge fan of them either, but all you're doing is complaining. Fewer riders per train? Yeah, four fewer. That's nothing. Longer load times? Absolutely not. There's more than enough room to get in everywhere. If anything, this will reduce load times. And obstructed views? I don't know what you're talking about here. First of all, the view is definitely not the same in every seat because you can't see much when you're in the middle of the back. Normal B&Ms aren't dive machines with stadium seating. Second, there will probably be a better view in the side seats on these than in the fronts.
  4. This is sort of off topic, but I find it slightly crazy that they let us out of school 90 minutes early because of heat today. We can't even go five days without something going haywire.
  5. Um... I live ten minutes from downtown Des Moines, so... Des Moines. ("deh MOYN," by the way, not "des MOYNS")
  6. SFOT - B:TR, Shockwave, Flashback, Wile E. Coyote's Grand Canyon Blaster SFSL - Ninja, Rockin' Roller Beech Bend - Wild Mouse Parc Asterix - Periferix (was Trans'Averne when I was there), Ronde des Rondins (was Serpentin when I was there)
  7. I would wait for it. I don't really care how long the line is. It moves like Severus Snape confronted with shampoo once you get across the bridge.
  8. Ouch. That sucks. I go all over the place this year, too. 1 - 4th Floor World Languages at Central Academy 2 - 3rd Floor at Central Academy (Bus to Pappajohn Center) 3 - 3rd Floor at Pappajohn Center 4 - Bus to Roosevelt High School 5 - 3rd Floor at Roosevelt Lunch 6 - 3rd Floor at Roosevelt (5 and 6 are on two totally different parts of three - you have to go down to the second floor to get from one to the other) 7 - 2nd Floor at Roosevelt Freshman year was fun. I liked it, at least. Be nice to the upperclassmen and you'll be fine. I'm really excited to pass my morning classes because I'm getting college credit in at least two of them (AP Biology and German I/II). That's what Central Academy and World Languages is. All about college credit. Pappajohn is just the overflow building now. There aren't many teachers over there, but I think they're remodeling it and putting everything at Pappajohn soon.
  9. ^That's a very true thing. Without Dominator, most enthusiasts who've been there before will really see no reason to go back. I'm sure it's the same with a lot of locals as well.
  10. Funny, that's how I would describe El Toro, Raven, Avalanche, Apollo's Chariot, S:RoS, Nitro, and Voyage.
  11. What is the point of those trains? I miss the old ones... Not a big fan of the name, but the height and layout sell it to me.
  12. ^Ooh, Chemistry. Have fun with that. I took it last year in a semester, which was crazy. Don't get behind. Your head will likely explode if you don't understand what they're talking about. I'm taking: German I/II (One level per semester, which is handy) AP Biology (Gack, I am really not excited for this class) American Lit (I have the spaciest teacher ever, so it won't be hard) Show Choir (With one of the best teachers in the school and one of the worst teachers in the school) Algebra II (Don't know what to think about this one yet) Select Drama (You have to be a drama nerd to be in this class) I am planning on having fantastic legs by the end of the year. All of my classes are on the third floor this year, except German, which is on the fourth floor, and Drama, which is on the second floor. Interesting.
  13. More... Woohoo! This thing is sort of fun. Darn, another one. You know you want it.
  14. It's no more pointless than Simpsonizing yourself. This one was inspired by the ride op who wanted to know if my train had "enjoyed our whiz" on Whizzer. Whizzer is just too awesome to not be in this thread.
  15. I started on the Thursday the 23rd. And I had an two hours of AP Bio homework this weekend. Blech. I'm actually pretty excited for this year to get moving. I've got some fun classes, some easy classes, and some challenging classes. Should be a good mix.
  16. The point of this coaster is obviously not realism. There's no need to nitpick. It's a fantasy ride.
  17. I have a really hard time believing that the GP will be able to tell the difference between this coaster and Goliath. As far as they know, Golitath is over 200 feet. And they can't very well say that Canada hasn't seen anything like it if it most definitely has. Not that I'll be disappointed if it's a hyper. I just think a floorless is most likely at this point.
  18. ^^I assume you say that in response to the point the poster in question made about imitating KK in "more ways than one" as an allusion to the tragic accident on Superman this June. If so, I whole-heartedly agree. No, they should not do that.
  19. Your face. Sorry, I had to. The opportunity was just too real. Why doesn't the world accept peanut butter enthusiasts?
  20. Oh, BTW, don't let all the people on CS get you down. They are extremely, extremely, extremely picky and can be really rude sometimes. This is everything a coaster should be and more. Much better than Kilo.
  21. You have to enter the first code, type in "nantimi," and enter the second code. That will take you to the page with Nantimi's "address."
  22. Um, last time I checked, Maverick, Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, Kingda Ka, Xcelerator, Stealth, and Storm Runner all have pretty significant drops. Not to mention all the impulses. Obviously it isn't a rocket coaster, though. But we do know that Intamin loves to try new things, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were Intamin's version of a dive machine.
  23. ^^I don't remember any special effects on the flume. They might have been down when I was there as well. You don't get wet at all, though. You would have been fine.
  24. Fantastic. Does Timber Falls still have the plane that blows up? That was a highlight of my visit.
