The park that TPR built!
kenshinmac replied to Mr.Six's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Ok yeah I know there are way too many coasters already but due to all the complaints about the space left I just threw in one of my favorite pre-builts that I made... I call it Boardwalk Bomber. Hope you guys like it. It is absolutely tiny for what it is and fits well into almost any park. I have used it tons of times. BTW I will prolly add a log flume soon if no one else does... Seems like a serious oversight IMHO. Pics to follow in a few minutes. BTW anyone have any suggestions for free image editors that have better jpeg compression options than paint... Paint has no options... official_tpr_park_158.SV6 No idea what the official name is now but this should work... Another view of BoardWalk Bomber. Overview of the area... BoardWalk Bomber angle #1... It fits right between the themed rides around it and doesn't violate anyones space. Robb please up the size of pics by just like 50k... It would allow jpegs to be much easier to post... -
This news came out over the summer. It is just that the game has gone beta now. It should be in stores in November. BTW the reason that RCT and RCT2 never made it to the mac is because they were written almost entirely in Intel assembly. Macs until 2006 have been and are PowerPC based. Therefore there is almost no way that they could have efficiently ported the games. Heck there is almost no way to port assembly in general. It is an ugly thing to read and takes serious documentation (in code) to be able to understand some of it. RCT3 on the other hand is a more standard game featuring mostly C(++) based code and 3d graphics. It probably won't run as fast on a mac due to the fact that it is hard to re-optimize someone elses code but it should run perfectly fine. Keep in mind though that it requires a 1Ghz G4 at least.

Tilt Coaster!?!?!
kenshinmac replied to incredicoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Me Thinks Stratosphere reference? Correct? Personally I would be terrified riding the ride but heck it is a unique ride and that makes it a thing I wouldn't pass up for anything if I somehow got to Taiwan... Looks like a damn cool idea. Truth be told I have no reservations about Vekomas being safe... Comfortable they are not but considering the number of installations that Vekoma has they have a freaking amazing safety record. I mean you hardly ever hear about accidents on vekomas. I think B&M is the only manufacturer that comes close otherwise but they have far less installations. -

lol... Elissa with teh Veto... That was a seriously messed up video... What is the deal with that park? I mean seriously. Are those like characters from a kids show or something? Seems kinda well messed up for a kids show... Especially that cow... -
Discovery Channel Show - UPDATE!!!
kenshinmac replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hey thats sweet... It almost sounds exactly like the sort of thing I was hoping they would go for... Heck I think I made a post almost exactly to that sort of style. I'm really glad they came here as I think the big coasters have gotten way too much attention recently. This is great. Thanks Discovery... I hope this will turn into an annual thing with TPR. Heck it can be a series... Oh and how cool would it be to get a mention of the TPR forum members in the credits... Maybe just a special thanks or something... (where is the face_pleading?) Actually I just went searching and this was the last post I made on the thread. Sounds kinda similar right? I'm just excited as heck that they are doing it. Wooden Coasters needed a show to themselves. Especially with all the great ones coming this year. -

Can't wait to see how this turns out. It looks really good so far. -
Six Flags BeachSide
kenshinmac replied to coasterfreak101's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Just a point... Steel Coasters come in pre-built pieces so seeing them sitting around makes sense. Wooden Coasters are completely built on site so you would only see large stacks of wood unless it was being built. The first things built on wooden coasters tend to be the support structures so the best thing to do would probably have been to build the supports and part of a lift hill or something. -
RCT 3 HELP PLEASE!!!!
kenshinmac replied to HCOSurfer90's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
There are many possible problems... Unfortunately we can't really help without knowing a whole lot more than you have given us so far... Try taking a look on the site for the program they should have a FAQ. -

Well can you post the original video at something like yousendit.com or something? I can't view the video you posted no matter what I try. Oh and color me impressed... I can't wait for you to post the file because so far it looks pretty impressive. I've never been able to figure out how to build good indoors scenes because I can't get the camera to stay put... Grr... -

Um as far as I know a tilt coaster uses the same equipment as the corkscrew coaster so you can't really tell the difference until you see the tilt lift. BTW are you gonna make a scenery pack and stuff so we can actually use this when you are done because that can't all be standard... I can't view the video period... Can you upload the original to a sending site? -
New Six Flags??
kenshinmac replied to kennywood!007's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
That is a custom scenery piece meaning the park won't work unless you have exactly the same scenery pieces on your RCT3. Sadly RCT3 isn't as easy to add scenery pieces to as it won't load them from a park file. -

kenshinmac replied to Mr.Six's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Yeah RCT3 custom scenery doesn't auto-load... So you couldn't use any custom scenery or it wouldn't work for anyone. -

kenshinmac replied to Mr.Six's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Yeah it has custom scenery. You have to load that earlier file with the zip. Then load that RCT2 file. Then it should load up. At least it worked for me. -

kenshinmac replied to Mr.Six's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
You can get RCT2 + both expansion packs for only $20. It is hardly breaking the bank to get it if you want to participate. -

kenshinmac replied to Mr.Six's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Load the one a few pages back which is like 2MB as a zip file. Then load the file and it will load the scenery items. I don't really know how this works but it worked for me. It will put the scenery you need in and then you can open the smaller version. Hope that helps... BTW what do you guys think of my ride? -
The park that TPR built!
kenshinmac replied to Mr.Six's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Ok heres the park back... I made my addition a mobius Dive Coaster called Perpendiculous. I'll post pics as I convert them. BTW if you start this up again it might have some problems with the stacking. If so just turn off the syncronize stations until you clear both stations then turn it back on. offical_themeparkreview_park_10-06-05.SV6 Park Overview Closeup of the Craziness Overview of the ride. Kinda an Industrial Chic... But it is truly a mobius coaster. 1 long track between the two sides. -

WIPPED IT OUT... Sorry seriously though I'll try... WIP. Ok yeah... I'm getting a missing file error... Someone used some custom scenery that doesn't load properly for me... Sigh... Any idea what I should do? Ok I got it sorted by loading one of the earlier files that had all the stuff... Go figure... -
