  1. ^ Yes but that's understandable. When you're a growing company, you take out loans, that's what happens. Cedar Point has every intention of paying off those loans, and you have to also look at their net worth, which includes stock price, and Cedar Fair's net worth is a lot more than Six Flags. -James Dillaman
  2. Ok, you're a newbie. -James Dillaman
  3. Hahahaha, Jahan Loves Da Cock! Yup! -James Dillaman
  4. Depends on the ride really. Look at Raptor and Magnum at Cedar Point for instance. Both run 3 trains, and will rarely have a train sitting on a brake run very long. It seems like a train is constantly being loaded and dispatched. Going down to 2 trains would make a difference. And, as I mentioned. the Beast at PKI sucks when it's only running 2 trains. People complain about waiting, as it's like 2 minutes between trains. With only one train... forget it.
  5. And when I worked on Beast, we always ran 3 trains if we could, even if the line was 5 minutes long, because with one train the line would quickly grow, as there would be almost 6 minutes between dispatches. A pet-peeve of mine (seen often at kentucky kingdow) is when a longer coaster is running only one train when the wait is 10-15 minutes on a weekend, when they know the crowd will pick up later. When the crowds DO pick up, they have to close the ride to add the second train. grrrrrr... -James Dillaman
  6. ??? Unhappy guests who wait longer for rides is good for the shareholders? Happy guests who don't have to wait as long for the rides and have more time to spend money on food and souvenirs are bad for the shareholders? I'm sorry, but at PKI the emphasis was always on capacity, and I know cedar fair is the same way. It has nothing to do with cost saving with a well-run park, it's all about keeping people happy so they'll come back. -James Dillaman
  7. ^ Are there footers poured, yet? and has there been any mention of a webcam for this ride like at cedar point? -James Dillaman
  8. No, we did it, it was an ACE event at PKI, also: Beast Buzz. -James Dillaman
  9. ^^Must agree, I really liked the rides at the top of the Stratosphere. And I enjoyed Canyon Blaster, too. Why didn't you like the stratosphere rides? -James Dillaman
  10. The first time i went on TTD they had 5 of the six running, but I've never seen all 6. -James Dillaman
  11. ^Nice video. I appreciated the cameos from Guy and Ryan. Honestly, I can't believe X is still down. That's horrible. -James Dillaman
  12. Over 2,000 How many significant others have you had up to this point?
  13. Um... It doesn't have to line up with the book to be an okay movie... Lots of movies based on books change things around to work better as a movie, or just because the director or producer wants to. I can't stand the so-called "book purists" that knock movies only because they aren't scripted word for word from a book. That's just stupid. The visuals in the movie were quite good and fun, and I think some of the actors were very good. Granted, it isn't my type of movie (and definitely not my type of book), but enjoyable, none the less. Much better movie than "Are We There Yet?" with Anthony Anderson. -James Dillaman
  14. Same Here. If the trains were facing forwards, i reckon i could do it. Racer @ PKI: I can ride it once forwards, if i want to get my back broken, or I can ride it all day backwards: smoother and good airtime. Great ride backwards, crap forwards. -James Dillaman
  15. Kaotic Kitten Super Upsides Downs Thrill Coaster... What? it sounds better in Japanese, that's only the english translation. -James Dillaman
  16. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Our countrys 2 most underpaid, and valuable positions are teachers and military service personell. Strippers are a close third. Keep yourself safe over there. Hopefully in November we can re-gain controll of our government and get you home soon. If we don't, you can probably expect to be re-deployed to Iran or N. Korea soon. So you at least got that going for ya. Keep the faith bro. Oh no, Guy, Strippers are OVERPAID. Seriously, after only 2 days in the local club, I had spent my entire savings, sold everything I owned, and had my left arm reposessed. They didn't even play an entire song for the dances! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr I have nothing and now I'm frustrated. -James "Do you know how long it takes to type with only 1 hand??!?" Dillaman
  17. Well hey, I enjoyed the movie. And oh yeah: Books suck! I'm far too busy to read an entire book. -James Dillaman
  18. I'm with Dave on this one: That is one of those priceless moments that needs to be shared with the entire world. -James Dillaman
  19. UPDATE! We were able to take Miles home yesterday. He's eating a special diet and drinking on his own, so he no longer needs the IV in his leg. He's still very sick, and will have to eat low residue food the rest of his life, but at least he made it through the weekend, as there was indeed some doubt he would. Thanks for everyone who thought of my family, especially my brother (Who picked Miles out, named him, and has been away at college the entire time he's been ill) He's almost like himself for 10 minutes or so, then he just sleeps. The vet says sleep is the best thing for him, and NO TREATS at all for at LEAST 2 months. Thanks again to everybody. -James Dillaman
  20. Thanks for asking, he's still very sick, but well enough to where we could bring him home. We switched vets (now we're actually with my future father in law.... ) and he can have no treats at all for at least 2 months. We have to watch him everyday when he's outside so he won't eat anything off his special diet, and he has a shaved stomach from the ultrasound and a shaved patch on his leg from the IV. -James "Watching 'Into the Fire' on the History Channel" Dillaman
  21. Wow, so many posts since I went to work myself. I'm shocked so man people are still confused by this. It seems so straightforward to me: A visual representation of what Disney is and stands for was compromised by some young punks who didn't stop and think about the consequences of their actions. Hopefully other more newsworthy items will surface, so the media won't be searching for stories like this, because if they find it, it WILL be big, and blown WAY out of proportion. And as I'm sure many of you know, a lot of people believe every thing they hear: "I threw away all my down-filled pillows so I wouldn't catch the deadly bird-flu!" James "Don't give the average citizen any credit" Dillaman
  22. If you ask me, anybody who's JOB it is to be around young children should be very careful about what they do while in costume at all times. If your child was attending a daycare center, and then you saw a video of the employees dry-humping in the lounge while the kids were taking a nap, would you keep your children there? Would you think twice about going back to that particular establishment? What if there were cheaper alternatives closer to your home? I think this will hurt disney more than you'd think. I have to agree with Robb here. Image wise, this is NOT good for Disney. -James Dillaman
  23. Wow, Robb. Good thing you didn't sign a contract saying you wouldn't do anything like that, or it might be mean. -James "Proud Dry-humper" Dillaman
  24. Right On! Power to the People -James Dillaman
  25. You should check out the city museum in St. Louis. It was an incredible experience, and the slides and rollerslides were awesome! -James Dillaman
