Did Summers/Dinn make ANY good coasters?

I read the plaque. The point was in reference to a very small park having a great running woodie. -

The Dania Beach Hurricane is at a freakin arcade and is one of the most awesomely fun rides I have been on. I think they built that thing for around 2 million bucks, that's like stealing for the ride they got. DBH would be the best woodie in many well known parks. I would love to see Florida get an Intamin woodie. -

Is the Orlando Thrill Park gonna be there? I am still hanging on to a thread of hope. I like the unusual stuff, like fish that eat dead flesh. -

Man I thought Power Tower was before Corkscrew's corkscrews coming from the front of the park. I gotta get back to Cedar Point. I think all the smoke looks cool, they should consider burning stuff during the season. -

I don't really see them making any big changes either. But if the whole blackout/greyout thing hasn't been overstated they should change the ride. It would be a shame to me if they did it with trims alone. If an over bank exactly like MF has to be built to slow the train it would be better than trimming the drop. They set out to build a rider's ride, I 305 is worth fixing the right way. -

I happen to think the speculation is fun. All the speculation in the world won't change the absolute fact that they are adding an over banked turn, and since that has been confirmed as fact, I wonder how expensive that is? Honestly the first time i saw renderings for the ride I thought that turn was going to be a problem. Millennium forces drop into a turn that low to the ground just seemed a bit too much. I know some of you guys really liked it and I probably would have to but not for the masses for sure. Hell, I have greyed out on Millennium force, and I 305's turn looked way more powerful. I hope this means they are making big changes to the ride that include removing the trims from the drop. I have heard the ride is just awesome but trims on a drop marketed for the size and speed of the drop is a coaster sin. I couldn't guess about the physics but a big over bank into that first hill seems like a good fix. I hope someone can get out there today to see if they are removing any more track. -
They seem to be high tailin it on the first and second launch areas. Maybe we will see them do a little of the rock work in the trenches before installing track. Cheetah Hunt doesn't look very difficult to build. I remember certain parts of Maverick going up very fast. Looking forward to seeing the Tower come together or as I like to say, the Figure Eight Tophat.

Coasters at Night
dragonskeep replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm thinking Cheetah Hunt will be great at night, I mean think about how awesome tha't could be. It really has some serious potential. High speed night safari anyone. I love Night rides on Magnum. -
^^But she is sooooo hot. The rides that is. I guess they already got me once with the surf park. I used to go by there every time I was on I-Drive only to see the same small wave pool that would never work. I am learning to trust again. Seriously someone has to know of something these guys did right. It mostly comes down to wether or not the investors have money they want to spend.

I think a Donkey Kong ride could really only be a ropes course. It is a theme park so I bet we wont get to keep all those coins. My plan wouldn't try to do any themeing. Just a nice atmosphere, keep it as green as you can. Nice lights at night are a must. And misters, a lot of misters. Build big rides. Don't suck at anything, this includes food.

Wait a second, that can't be the actual concept art, right? That's a picture of Delirium at King's Island from Coasterimage.com and ElecTRONica concept art. I'm not sure what I hope for more: the news being incompetent as usual or the people running the park being just as incompetent. I knew that was Delerium but I didnt know the other image was also an existing concept. They used those images in a meeting with home owners to show them the types of rides they wished to build. That is the impression i got at least. I know they showed the 4D and Dragster in there presentation so I guess they probaly used all existing images. That makes sense being that they still have a big challenge just in getting approval. I will work on getting better info, that was pretty lame. I would love to see these rides come to Orlando, I think we could support it. But, again, come huge or don't do it.

There is some concept art floating around that shows a ride themed to Tron. There is also a ride like Max Air. The art actually looks great. They want to build a ride like Dragster(maybe that would be the Tron ride), an S&S 4D, a 312 foot drop tower, a Zacspin, and other coaster designs. If any new park is gonna work this one would have a chance. Really doesn't sound stupid to me at all. Problem is , the nearby home owners seem to not like the idea of it being there. Usual problems, roads and noise. However, our current Mayor likes to build stuff and the developers say they can address those issues. I have to admit, when there slide show included a picture of Dragster I got a little too excited. I will TP all of Tangelo Park if they block this. http://www.wesh.com/money/25399525/detail.html here is a news story. http://www.examiner.com/florida-travel-in-national/orlando-thrill-park-picture Some concept art can be found here. I think this falls in the too good to be true category but what they are proposing looks like a far better park than any of the failures mentioned here.
