  1. The alpine coaster is at Jiminy Peak in Hancock, I hear it's pretty good.
  2. Fantastic trip report. I'm loving all the pictures (including the ridiculous poses ). Hats off to you for braving the jungle to show us these credits.
  3. Should we refrain from voting if we're on the MidAmerica tour?
  4. Damn, I wish I had been in Barcelona a month earlier! Great PTR!
  5. Guy and Chuck, Just a FYI, Coastermania ERT isn't usually much of an ERT session at all. TOO MANY PEOPLE. Or at least that's my recollection from when I worked there 10 years ago. LOL
  6. Why were you in downtown L.A., it's not near the water? You're doing it wrong! LOL
  7. All of them. I can't think of any coaster I've preferred more during the day than at night.
  8. I love Angry Gumball's latest, though I still think there should a non-coaster ride along with the coaster since it's not Coaster Review (maybe that hill in the back could be changed?) I love coasters, but I love this site because it talks about entire parks. I never would know about the unique darkrides and spinning rides a park has if it weren't for TPR.
  9. Hardest class for me was Applied Complex Analysis. Basically Calculus with imaginary numbers. Everything goes from 3-D to 4-D, and I didn't have the math background to understand everything going on. Somehow I managed to pull a C even though I was completely lost in the final.
  10. Chicken Testicles are on my list of things to try. Of course I was going to have them at Chinois on Main in SaMo. Damn, this looks like such a fun trip!
  11. I also enjoy Disneyland's Fantasmic more than the WDW version. For me, the thing that makes Disneyland's so awesome is the proximity to the action. Even if you get there late and end up in the back, you're closer to the show than 3/4 of the audience at WDW. Plus the Peter Pan scene is so amazing up close, that WDW's show instantly loses points in my book. Oh, and the boat at WDW that replaces the Mark Twain from DLR's version is just sad looking.
  12. I don't have the book with me, but I believe that Crystal Rock was the beer that Cedar Point used to serve back around the turn of the century. Edit: If you look online, there is no Crystal Rock Bottling Company found. Well none I could find. The whoIs search says www.whytelightning.com was registered on July 28th of this year. And it's registered through a proxy to keep the owner anonymous. Sounds like it's definitely marketing material.
  13. Did anyone else think that she looked like she was made out of delicious milk chocolate after falling in?
  14. Hey everyone, I saw this on Digg today and though there's probably a bunch of people here that would consider doing this. http://www.orlandoinfo.com/67days/index.cfm?source=visitorlando_67days You basically have a complimentary condo for 67 days, free admission to the attractions, and a salary of $25,000 for your time. In exchange you document your experience with a camera, video camera, and cell phone on the major social networking sites. Sounds like a good deal!
  15. I'm about 4 miles away from epicenter, and definitely felt it. Shook my whole office.
  16. ^I'm confused, you don't get any airtime on Magnum? Those bunny hills are full of "OMG, my thighs are permanently bruised" airtime. Unfortunately, that's also the reason I'm not a HUGE fan of that ride. I just don't find it enjoyable. The first drop, and third hill are fantastic, but the rest just hurts...."meh". Of course, I've never felt like Phoenix has the "OMFG air" that other people rave about, I blame it on being a fatass. Best airtime coasters in my book: El Toro, Goliath at Walibi World, S:ROS
  17. Ramses on crack.... I'm surprised Elissa rode, I was pretty sure she hated Ramses.
  18. To make up for the amount of "bad examples", I'll present you with.... You'll never find me in a pair though........I'll never have the body for it.
  19. I marched Glassmen 1996-1998 in the hornline (sop the first two years, mello in 98). Best times of my life. When I moved to AZ for school, there was no drum corps around at the time (Academy was in its infancy, only played standstill concerts). So I decided to do winter guard instead. And I marched 4 years in AZ groups, and then 2 years with Corona when I moved to Cali. Now I teach two guards, Santa Monica HS, and Hawthorne Gold Drum Corps (Open Class). 20. ^Ignition Switch Contacts..........??? If I'm right, this is my picture to guess on.
