  1. Tower of Terror without even thinking about it.
  2. I have one of these food truck food courts like five minutes from my house,it's every Friday night in a Toyota dealer's parking lot,I've yet to go but I know they don't charge admission.I've heard if you don't get there like at 6-7pm the lines get like an hour plus for most trucks, hence the reason why I've yet to go.Also the Japanese Peruvian combo food truck isn't all that strange,Peru supposedly is full of Japanese,my brother is actually dating a Japanese girl born in Peru. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tamiami-Truckers-Food-Court/198928616785051?sk=photos
  3. I was there Saturday earlier in the day to try the BBQ and get a few rides on Manta and Kraken,I wanted to see Huey Lewis but I went up there with my mom who's been wanting to see Frankie Valli for years now and he was at Universal for Mardi Gras.I'm dissapointed Sea World took out the BBQ buffet they had the last couple of years and switched to only the booths like they have at Busch Gardens. They did add for the beer lovers the beer garden where you can try 12 3oz samples for $20 or $18 if you're a passholder.
  4. You might be thinking of Lion Country Safari in West Palm Beach as Monkey Jungles location and size would not allow for driving through it.
  5. Do you have to pay admission to go in the gift shop, the banana penis shirt was interesting.
  6. I live like 5-10 minutes north of Monkey Jungle and about 5-10 minutes west of Zoo Miami,I think I went to Monkey Jungle like 20 years ago when I was like 10-11 years old and wasn't impressed so I haven't felt the need to visit since.I am amazed that they're charging $30 to get in there, the Zoo is like half that much and at least close to a full day attraction, how long did it take you to see everything at Monkey Jungle,it couldn't be more than 2-3 hours. Then again I haven't been there in 2 decades maybe it's improved.
  7. I had the one with the ham and Gouda in the American pavillion at Epcot,it was good, nothing amazing but I like having some more options available at the counter service restaurants,I gotta try some of the other ones available. As far as the whole wheat buns,I don't mind it to much on burgers but I just don't like it on hot dogs, kills it for me.For anyone who's been there recently I saw that Via Napoli was selling slices of pizza for like $6-$7 out of a window in front of the restaurant,is this something permanent or just being done during the holidays with the bigger crowds, also at $6+ a slice it seemed a bit expensive for a slice, for anyone who's tried them are they worth it?
  8. I don't think it was an out of control amazing ride, but it was still a very fun coaster to ride with the swinging cars through the village and the drop into the Rhine River. Also there aren't too many suspended coasters left,so removing it moves this style of coaster closer to being extinct. This coaster also at least to me somewhat personified Busch Gardens Williamsburg, there's obviously better coasters at the park but this one had a special something,I'm sad it's gone but at least I rode it and maybe they'll put in something just as special for the next 30 years.
  9. The coolest thing about these concerts is that they start right after you gorge yourself with the BBQ,I especially like the one at Sea World which is a buffet with pretty much everything you could ever want in a BBQ buffet. In Tampa it's different,no buffet but they have 6-7 different stands that sell BBQ from different regions known for BBQ.I've been the last two years to the Sea World one,two years ago it was great,Hall and Oates in concert and the entire pavillions area packed with people, this year it was like 40 degrees and wet and some weird crappy group called Yes that ended up having to play indoors due to the weather. At Busch Gardens this year was awesome,Pat Benatar and excellent weather, the only negative was Gwazi beating the hell out of me,it was around this time I started realizing how rough this ride has gotten.
  10. It probably took me 50 rides or more to finally spot the Kong statue in the Mummy ride at USF.
  11. I heard Schussler Creative,(the Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex people) will be creating a new restaurant in the current location of the Beach Club and Motion. It will be a speedboat themed restaurant with a working name of Mahogany Bay Classic Old Boats and Great Food.
  12. Maybe that won't be the name,I heard on another website that WWE is looking at Orlando as the site for a Wrestling Hall of Fame and that there could be a tie in with the "Orlando Thrill Park" so maybe the park might end up with a wrestling theme with rollercoasters named after wrestlers.I would be surprised if this is true but you never know, that 425 ft coaster could be themed to Andre the Giant?? Crazy but you never know!!
  13. I bought that America's Greatest Rollercoaster Thrills in 3-D and felt I got jipped as the 3-D did not work at all.As far as all those Travel Channel and Discovery Channel shows,I started taping them on VHS going back to the mid 90's,I transferred most of them to DVD and still tape anything that's theme park, amusement park, rollercoaster waterpark,Disney related,I even have that PBS Great Old Amusement parks show that shows Cedar Point and Kennywood like in 1986 or so.I probably have so many hundreds of shows taped that if I started watching them now I might still be watching a month from now.I wonder why there aren't as many of these shows produced now as there were several years ago,it seems like 1998-2003 was just show after show coming out, mostly coaster related then from like 2002-2007 tons of Disney stuff, but lately very little if anything.
  14. I'm a huge waterpark fan and Aquatica is right up there among my favorites. As far as people saying it's not lush I think that's true if you're comparing it to a Typhoon Lagoon which has so many trees it would be difficult to get sunburned on the sunniest days.Aquatica is more about palm trees, still very nice but it's just not Typhoon Lagoon.I went to Aquatica this year on what was probably one of the hottest days of the year, the wavepool read 100 degrees and my cars thermometer 103,here's a suggestion if you go to a waterpark on a day like this, bring sandals,I ended up having to buy some as the ground became like lava by noon, you literally could not walk on it.The greatest thing in the park is the Roa's Rapids (fast) lazy river, more parks should have this.I also agree that the entrance to Tassies Twisters through the slow lazy river is an idea that sounded good but it's really confusing for people, there's an entrance for just the lazy river on the left with the blue tubes and the other one one for Tassies where you get the yellow tubes. The way it's set up they need more signs or attendants to guide the people.Overall it's become my new favorite waterpark in Orlando.
  15. Every time I rode the one at SFOG I waited about 2 hours, the combination of low capacity, slow loader and constant breakdowns made getting on this coaster very annoying.Maybe a smaller park with smaller crowds who's willing to take care of it would make sense.
  16. It's on the other end of International Drive, the north section, just south of the crappy Festival Bay mall and closer to what used to be the Prime Outlets which are now also known as Orlando Premium Outlets, this one is Orlando Premium Outlets International Drive and the other one on the southern end of I-Drive closer to Sea World is now known as Orlando Premium Outlets Vineland ave.
  17. I'm like 5 minutes from the zoo in Miami they've been talking for years now about adding a waterpark next to the zoo as well as a hotel and entertainment center, this is supposed to be built as it already was voted on and passed, supposedly they're taking bids on who will build and run the waterparks. This however has stalled and god knows if it ever will get built. However in the long term plans there was also mention of an amusement park going in as well. There is room as next to the zoo was Coast Guard housing that's basically a ghost town now, just a security guard making sure nobody goes in.It definitely has much more room than what's in Orlando.I would love some kind of park by me but even I could tell you Miami is a weird place and a park like this would probably have much more steady attendance in Orlando.
  18. You just came up with a great backup name and theme for Cheetah Hunt,"Harold and Kumar's Wild Cheetah Ride".
  19. It seems like they want to make the ride look and sound a bit more kid friendly,a cheetah head in front of the train and the name "hunt" in the name just screams kiddie coaster.Cheetaka would have been a cooler name, too many things with the name Cheetah which also happened to be the name of my dog that died last year. You also have to wonder is Cheetah Chase going to be renamed,if they do I would have ridden it with three names,Wilde Maus in BGW,Cheetah Chase in BGT and a possible new one.
  20. I think all the Orlando waterparks are great, even Wet n Wild with it's no theme theme.Everyone's heard that TL has a great wavepool, lush landscaping, good lazy river, the shark reef and the only water coaster with Slush n Gusher, while the rest of the slides are mediocre to bad.I used to be a bigger fan of BB but my biggest problem with the park is the layout as you have to continuously climb the same stairs to get to many of the slides,it gets boring. If they built another chairlift to give you access to all the slides in the mountain it would help, but yes they have better slides than TL.I think right now I probably have Aquatica at the top of my Orlando water parks list,it's not clearly better than the others,it could use some more slides and it's not as big as the Disney ones but it just has a good layout, better food and retail options, pretty good slides and I really like that Roa's Rapids fast lazy river, they really need to figure out a better way to get your tube on the slow lazy river to get on Tassies Twisters,it's very disorganized.Again I don't think there's one park that clearly is better than the others, they're all different and you could ask 100 different people what they're favorite is and each park will probably get a decent amount of votes.
  21. Well, Flordia got Kumba, Williamsburg got Griffon. If that holds true, then I can see BGT getting the better ride. But I am with you one that one. BGT: 1993 Kumba, 1996 Montu, 1999 Gwazi, 2005 Sheikra, 2011 Cheetaka? BGW:1992 Drachen Fire, 1997 Alpengeist, 1999 Apollo's Chariot, 2007 Griffon, 2012 ???? B&M was supposed to build a coaster for both parks in 92-93,they did build Kumba but opted out of building one for BGW,obviously BGT won out on that one but clearly lost in 1999 when BGW got Apollo and BGT got Gwazi.I don't hate Gwazi that much,I actually used to like it,but lately you're lucky if you don't break a rib on it and Apollo is one of my favorites at either park.
  22. The Pretzel loop of any B&M Flyer.
  23. I knocked the annoying clown into the water by hitting the target with a baseball,I think it was 2 balls for $5 and I knocked him down on the second ball so I only spent $5 but I think it would have been worth $20 to get him to fall off and stop talking trash.
  24. Disney World seasonal pass,Sea World/Busch Gardens platinum Pass and Universal preferred AP.
